The Property:
Nestled in the breathtaking Crested Butte valley of Colorado, our home boasts modern amenities designed for mountain living, while drawing inspiration from the timeless charm of Bavarian mountain chalets and the rustic elegance of the Italian Alps, reflecting our European heritage. The chalet-style apartment is on the ground level of our newly constructed home, entirely secluded from the main residence, boasting a separate entrance and outdoor patio with expansive views of Mount Crested Butte. You will find luxurious, custom finishes and immaculate craftsmanship throughout the space. Italian marble and European fixtures adorn both bathrooms, complemented by heated towel racks for added comfort. In-floor heating and large Euro-style windows evoke the charm of the European mountain chalets. Small decorative details like the intricately carved wooden chest and mirror, and the handmade oak dining table and chairs transport you to the heart of the Alps. Experience the perfect blend of contemporary comfort and alpine allure.

Relax in the cozy living room with a smart TV for streaming shows and movies, play games, or chill outside on the stone patio taking in the backside of Mount Crested Butte and panoramic views of the valley. The patio also features a grill for your use. The custom kitchen features a gas cooktop, dishwasher, and ample kitchen supplies for making home cooked meals after a big day on the slopes or trails. One bedroom has a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom featuring a large walk-in shower, vanity, toilet and bidet. The other bedroom has a king size bed, sitting area with a workspace, and its own hall bathroom featuring a shower/tub combo. Please note, dogs are allowed but not to be left alone for more than 30 minutes. If your dog is a barker or anxious, we have a recommended doggie daycare if needed!

The prime location puts you within 15 minutes or less to all the best trailheads for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and the base of Mt. Crested Butte ski resort. Ride your bike or drive to downtown Crested Butte and enjoy all the shops and restaurants along Elk Avenue. Walk or ride straight from the front door to the leisurely Slate River pathway, or to the trails that lead along the backside of Mount Crested Butte. The neighborhood loop also features a small private pond for walking around (or fishing in), as well as a playground and tennis courts for guest use!

The house overlooks beautiful Coal Creek which runs right through town. During your stay you'll enjoy the charm of a Historic home, but with the modern touches you'd expect from a luxury vacation rental.

Our home has a bunch of great features and amenities that other homes lack: A steam room in the master bath, a brand new Hot Tub outside, a cool queen sleeping loft for kids, 60" 4K Smart TV with new entertainment center and wireless music, Apple TV, Netflix on demand, HBO, DirectTVnow, and the most charming updated home that you’ll find in town.

You'll appreciate the architectural details of reclaimed post and beam construction, high vaulted aspen tree ceilings, and reclaimed heart of pine wood floors. And when the weather is chilly, cozy up in the living room by the gas fireplace.

For the chefs in the family, the spacious gourmet kitchen will make preparing meals a joy. During winter and spring, you will enjoy true ski-in/ski-out access to the Westwall Lift, allowing you to hit the slopes and return home at your convenience. The ski-in and out are both considered Blue runs.

Included in the price of your stay at this condo is access to the chauffeured car service. This service is like having a personal Lyft driver who is ready to pick you up and take you to where you want to go.

This service provides you with private door-to-door access to all destinations in Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. When you've been adventuring all day and everyone is ready to grab a bite to eat, call the car and it will take you to your favorite restaurant. Don't feel like looking for a parking spot, call the car. You want to head back to the condo but they want to stay out late, call the car.

- Ski Season (Thanksgiving - 1st Sunday in April) - The car service runs everyday from 9AM to Midnight.
- Summer (July 1 - Labor Day) - The car service runs on Fri and Sat from 4PM to Midnight.

Transportation to and from the airport or destinations outside of Crested Butte are not included in this service. Some limitations do apply during peak skier pick-up and drop-off times.

The San Moritz is situated literally on Crested Butte Mountain. This condo is in the San Moritz International building and is, factually speaking, the condo with the highest elevation in all of Crested Butte!! The views!!

>>--->> Vehicle Recommendation:
For winter visits, it is recommended to have an AWD or 4WD vehicle due to snow-packed roads, which can affect traction.

If you are flying into Gunnison Crested Butte Regional Airport, I can offer you a couple transportation service recommendations after you book.

>>--->> Accessing the Condo:
- The condo unit is on the top floor and the building is built into the side of Crested Butte Mountain. The parking lot is located above the building on the mountain which puts the parking lot on the same level as the top floor condo unit. Simply put, the top floor condo unit and the parking lot are on the same level!!

- To enter the condo building, you will need to go 8 steps down from the parking lot to reach the front door of the condo.

You have exclusive access to the property. There is parking for 5 cars. We are permitted by the town for this amount and you cannot park more than 5 cars at the house. There are NO exceptions to this rule.

This home is the perfect venue for skiers, mountain bikers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts. Trails start right from the front door in summer and an easy ski down to the lifts in winter.

For ski-in ski-out access the Painter Boy Lift MUST be open. You will take this lift to Columbine and Homeowners trail which may not be groomed early in the season. This is dependent upon snow pack each year and typically this lift opens in December. If we do not receive a lot of snow you will have to drive to mountain and it is about a 5 minute drive. You also must be an intermediate or advanced skier to ski in and ski out.

PETS
Pre-screened pets are welcome for an additional nonrefundable fee of $150. They must be house-trained and stay off furniture, and out of the hot tub.

SECURITY CAMERAS & NOISE MONITORING
Outdoor Surveillance cameras are located at the front door for your safety and security. Also, noise monitors are installed to ensure decent decibel levels are maintained. Please ask the host if you have questions or concerns.

CHECK OUT CHECKLIST
- Load and run the dishwasher an hour before departing. Please clean anything that doesn't fit in washer.
- Shut off fire pit propane tanks if used.
- Throw away or take any food you brought to the house.
- Return all indoor and outdoor furniture to their homes.
- Dispose of all trash in the bins. If you have extra trash DO NOT leave it outside the bins as it will attract animals immediately.
- Turn off all lights.
- Lock all doors and windows. Especially on the patio as the wind can blow and unlocked door open.

Cleaning Fee: Our fee is $495 because our home is very large and takes 3 people to clean properly and timely. We pay our cleaning crew a fair living wage and we do not profit any money from this cleaning fee.
