Welcome to the Plush Vibrance of our Valley of the Pines gem. The one and only mountain home 'Lanna Lasso's the Moon', a Red River, New Mexico special that boasts 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms sleeping 12 people! This cabin is private, in the woods, riverfront, and amongst wildlife. Light a fire while playing games and watching your favorite movies. Enjoy the wildlife and the treehouse vibe without having to give up technology. This cozy cabin also boasts its own island! A must see for sure!
The space
Let's start with the property. This stunning property features almost an acre of complete river front access. You are able to enjoy the full property with plenty of sitting spaces, fishing holes, and amazing mountain nature. You are able to fish in the river, swim, and explore our property fully (just be aware that across the river is not our property) so please just stay to our side. You also have access to your own island! This island is accessed by a bridge on the property and is outfitted with plenty of seating for everyone to cook smores around the fire pit.
The house is an amazing tree house in the mountains. Upon entry into this lovely mountain home you will walk into the open concept cozy and vibrant living room complete with a wood burning fireplace and flat screen smart TV. There is also an area where you can place your shoes and coats making you feel quite at home. The spacious kitchen is finished out with lots of cupboards and counter space. There is a dishwasher, scenic placed windows, and the traditional dining area with a wooden table. There are enough bar stools to seat the entire entourage and glass doors that look out over the large sun deck. There is plenty of space to walk out and breathe in all the crisp mountain air and listen to nature sing it's beautiful songs. You are surrounded by Carson National Forest and all of the nature it provides. This includes coyote howls, elk bugles during the Autumn rut, and Red River babbling below the fabulous deck. From this deck the family can cast a line or two for our local rainbow and brown trout while listening to aspen/evergreen trees quaking in the wind!
Down the hallway apart from the kitchen/dining/living area you’ll find the Master Bedroom suite on the left-hand side complete with a king sized bed, smart flat screen TV, private 3/4 bathroom with a shower and a private balcony. Across the hall is the guest bedroom with a Queen bed and Smart flat screen TV, and private balcony. At the head of the hallway is a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo, vanity and toilet.
Up the stairs you will find the open loft area housing two full-sized beds and a twin bed. This large space is finished off with a smart flat screen TV and private balcony.
Now if you go downstairs below the main level (kitchen/living room) you will come to the den/fourth bedroom area, complete with a wood stove, sofa, Smart 70" Flat Screen TV, king size bed, and full bathroom with shower/tub combo, vanity and toilet. You may access the garage from this level and laundry area... Outside you have a large fenced yard for your little ones to run off that energy or for your furry friends you decided to bring! There is a firepit with plenty of seating where family and friends can sit around and tell stories, roast marshmallows and reminisce about the good ‘ol days and lots of river frontage access and benches along the river to enjoy the greatness of the Red River! There is a large parking area at our mountain home, so plenty of space for the whole gang and some toys! You can just jump on your razor and head for the trails straight from the driveway! (Please be mindful of your neighbors and all local speed/traffic laws).
This home is complete with Fiber Optic WiFi and Smart TV's in Every Bedroom and Living Area to access your favorite streaming apps. You will never miss a football game or your favorite show. After a full day of skiing you can come home, kick back, and enjoy your evenings. This home has gorgeous mountain and river views from all the decks/balconies and is located just a short distance (4.5 miles/10 minute drive) from downtown. There is so much to do from dining in the local eateries to shopping to exploring our great outdoors. There are many activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, zip lining, nature trails, hikes, off-road trails, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, jeep tours, festivals and so much more! This mountainous retreat is great as a romantic vacation or a family destination generation after generation.
Our home is located in the Upper Valley of Red River, and is not on the usual trolley route. However, you do have a couple options so you do not have to drive or shuffle children to and from town! 1. Should you need to contact the Miner's Transit (Trolley) to pick you up, be sure to give them PLENTY of notice, tell them where you are, they will come pick you up and take you where you want to go. FEES MAY APPLY!!! OR 2. You may contact JJ's RideShare at a reasonable cost! I highly recommend using either of these services to elevate your vacation experience of not shuffling people to and from different places especially during your dates as the town will be packed and it may be hard to find a parking spot.

Must keep all people in your party on the rented property. This includes the fenced areas within the property, the island, and property behind the small house. DO NOT cross the river. That property is not included and is private property.
All parking for all vehicles must park on property. No street parking for trailers and/or vehicles.
