The space
The Angel Fire Resort Golf Course and Angel Fire Resort are less than a 10 minute drive, and when the weather turns, you'll be just minutes from all the fun winter activities on the mountain, too.

This lovely updated mountain home faces the Cougar greenbelt and features TWO master suites. The split-level layout offers room for everyone to spread out.

Upstairs, you'll find an open living/dining room and kitchen, with exposed timbers, a wood-burning stove, hardwood floors and a window wall that lets in so much natural light. The renovated kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a center island with seating

The first master bedroom has its own wing upstairs and the bathroom boasts dual sinks, and a separate toilet/tub room and lots of bonus storage.

Downstairs, you'll find the second master suite, complete with a jetted tub. The other guest rooms each include carpeting and high ceilings with exposed beams.

The hallway bathroom has cedar-plank walls and a stand-up shower.

Upon entrance, you'll see the large foyer/mudroom/laundry level.

This is a great three bedroom, two bath, A-frame home conveniently located in the ski village, 4 blks to lifts! It is a fantastic location for both summer and winter activities. The main floor has a full kitchen, dining area that seats six, living room with wood burning fireplace, and laundry. There are two bedrooms downstairs and a full bath. In the living room, there is a flat screen tv with Smart TV. The master suite is located upstairs, has a king size bed, a second tv, and a private balcony. The master bath has a jetted tub, perfect after a long day of skiing or hiking. The large deck is a relaxing place for grilling, having a hot/cool beverage, watching the sunset and viewing wildlife. Winter Activities: skiing/recreation: Enjoy a day in the mountains and then come back to relax by the fire or out on the deck! Angel Fire offers skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, horse drawn sleigh rides, and tubing. Take the kids sledding with the saucers/discs provided or let them build a snowman in the yard. Take walks through the woods and enjoy the elk, deer, and other wildlife.
The home is 4 1/2 blocks to the slopes. There is a large parking area a couple blocks away, where a shuttle will pick you up and drop you off right at the lifts. The ski area is family friendly with a variety of green, blue, and black runs as well as terrain parks. Angel Fire is one of the few resorts offering night skiing. Those new to the mountain can enroll in ski or snowboard school for either private or group lessons. This A frame chalet has large windows facing the snow covered Wheeler Peak.
Summer Time Activities: Angel Fire is a really COOL place to escape the summer heat! The temps are in the 70's, humidity in the 20's...you can't get much better than that! There are many activities in the area to keep you busy: Spectacular hiking and mountain biking on any number scenic trails. Hike Wheeler Peak to over 13,000 feet or take a relaxed nature walk near town. There are plenty of places to rent bikes & gear. The area even hosts several mountain bike/road race events. There are trails on the ski mountain and you can take the scenic chair lift ride with your bike on the back. Other activities include: horseback riding, 4-wheeling, river rafting, tennis and fishing. For the kids there are playgrounds at the community center and at Olympic Park, a climbing wall at the base of the ski area, and paddle boats/row boats at Monte Verde Lake.

Four bedroom, four bath house sleeps up to 11 people. Two master ensuite bathrooms. Beds: 3 king, 1 queen, 1 twin. All king beds are Serta pillowtops. Walking distance to the market. Fiber optic internet with wi-fi.

The main level consists of a living room, kitchen, dining room, family room and one bedroom (with queen and a twin bed) and one full bathroom (shower with tub). The spacious living room has two sofas (one has a sofa sleeper) and a loveseat. French doors allow access to a deck from the dining room and the family room. The family room has views of the mountains and is furnished with a comfortable sectional. Both living room and family room have streaming TV and DVD player. Flat screen TVs in both living areas and both master bedrooms. All TVs are setup with smart devices. The kitchen is fully equipped (the family loves to cook!) with all the dishes and cookware you will need and as well as new stainless steel appliances. There are also crockpots, 2 drip coffee makers, Instant pot and blender. The dining table can seat 12.
Upstairs from the main level are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, TV, and a small balcony. The newly renovated master bathroom has double sinks and shower (the only tub is on the main floor). The second bedroom has a king bed and a bathroom with shower across the hall. All bathrooms have hair dryers. All sheets, towels, pillows, and blankets are supplied. Unlike many other vacation homes, we supply soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion in the bathrooms. The ground floor has a fourth bedroom with a king bed, flatscreen TV and DVD player, and bathroom with shower en-suite. A full size washer and dryer are in the utility room. There is a propane grill on the deck. **During the months of December through March, chains or four wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended (when it snows, the driveway gets slick). Our house is not on the ski lift shuttle route but is only 7/10 of a mile from the Chile Express, which is the main ski lift.

This beautiful chalet is nestled between majestic Ponderosa pines and is surrounded by easily accessible hiking trails. Summers provide stunning wildflowers, wildlife viewing, and a variety of outdoor activities. Mountain biking, hiking, motorcycling, zip line tours, fishing and golfing are among the favorites. The back deck is wonderful for family gatherings and some star gazing. The propane fire pit will be available from April to the end of October.

Winter brings us an average of 200 inches of snow. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, sledding. and even a horse drawn wagon that traverses right on the green belt below our home.
Located just 25 miles from Angle Fire the towns of Red River and Taos is an easy day trip for rafting, shopping, galleries, wine tasting and dining.

Parking is available on both the driveway and a parking-pad along the street. Each location can hold 2 vehicles. However, the driveway is gravel and steep enough to require FrontWD(without snow) and 4WD or chains (with snow). Additionally, vehicles greater than 18ft long, such as a full-size truck, will have a hard time turning around at the bottom of the driveway and should be prepared to either back down or up the driveway.

Welcome to our Slice of Heaven - Cochiti Cabin, a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom, multi-level mountain home tucked away in the trees just minutes from Angel Fire Ski Area. This home is popular with groups of skiers and snowboarders or large family gatherings for the unique space it offers.

The cabin is a beautiful 2,400 square foot mountain chalet, hovering close to the heavens at 8,750 foot elevation, tucked away on a beautiful one-acre setting in the woods. It has a large wraparound deck and two fire tables on the deck for evening visiting. The cabin is centered in a wilderness playground for elk and deer with an expansive, incredible view of the ski valley and forest of trees surrounding it. The property backs up to the Carson National Forest that is accessible for hiking, biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Although Cochiti Cabin sits snugly in a forest of evergreens and aspens, it is easy to access from the main highway. It is located 2.5 miles, about 5 minutes, from the base of the mountain, about 5 minutes to the Angel Fire Country Club and Golf Course and less than 10 minutes to Monte Verde Lake. This is also a pet friendly rental (dog or cat) so the whole family can truly vacation together (please contact the host for more details). Cochiti Cabin is located up in the mountains with fantastic views and only glimpses of neighbors. Peaceful and secluded, yet less than five minutes from all the amenities of town.

This A-frame style chalet has spectacular views and large picture windows on the main-living area that allows guests to enjoy views both inside the home and outside. The large wraparound deck is one of the best features of this house and is accessed through both doors on the main level. Lots of deck furniture, fire pits and a gas grill will lure you outside, so bring your favorite food to barbecue and enjoy our cool mountain air! Part of the deck is covered so you can keep working even during the winter snow or soft summer rains. Enjoy the great views of the distant mountains peeking through the evergreen and aspen trees that grow all around the house. From the deck, enjoy the birds, deer and other wildlife during the day and then after dark watch the stars twinkle above the mountain. Take advantage of the telescope to get a close-up view of skiers on the slope or you favorite constellation. The deck is a great spot to watch the sunrise among the trees or host a party with friends as the sun sets. A set of bistro tables and chairs on the balcony are great for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or sharing happy hour cocktails with friends. The huge wraparound deck offers panoramic views of the mountains and wildlife. Elk and deer are commonly seen walking through the backyard at dawn and dusk.

We think our home is perfect for families - adults can entertain themselves on the upper-levels while younger folks can have fun on the bottom “game-room” floor. The cabin’s large, open floor plan enables spaces for groups that wants to relax and chat before the wood burning fire. Others may want to socialize at the kitchen counter while meals or appetizers are being prepared. Another group may want to play cards or games at the dining room table. There is still room up in the loft for someone who wants quiet time to curl up with a new book by their favorite author while soaking up sun from the south facing windows. With all this beauty, who needs the internet? Just in case, the home has Wi-Fi access.

Living Areas:

Main-level: The kitchen is on the main floor (which is the middle-level) and shares a large open space with the dining room and living room. The dining table has seating for six but is banquet size so it’s also great for cards and board game playing! There are three stools at the kitchen bar counter for additional seating. The living room has a rustic stone hearth wood-burning fireplace. Light a fire while entertaining for a cozy ambiance or to stay warm on chilly winter evenings after a full day of skiing. The high ceilings in the living room and comfortable sofa and recliners create a great lounge area for watching your favorite shows or movies on the large flat screen TV with Blu-ray DVD player. The laundry facilities, washer/dryer, are located next to the kitchen behind closed doors so you can throw a load of laundry in while entertaining or relaxing. There are two private bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, a queen sleeper sofa and a full-bathroom (including tub).

Top-level: The loft area overlooks the living room below and has a queen bed (3rd bedroom), large sitting area with a queen sleeper sofa and a small private balcony of its own. There is also a half-bathroom with separate area where dual-sinks are located giving privacy to those using the shower and bathroom.

Bottom-level: The lower level of the home is set up as an multipurpose game-room with two queen size futons, and a bunk bed with a full size bed on the lower bunk and a twin size bed on the top bunk. There is also another half-bathroom providing plenty of shower space for guests. The game-room is equipped with several games, a Wii, a dartboard and a large flat screen TV with Blu-ray DVD player and DVR recorder. There’s also a whiteboard for younger kids to doodle.

We hope that our cabin is colorful, comfy and clean for you. It's our 2nd home and we want our guests to experience the perfect getaway. The deck is wonderful, and the three levels of sleeping and living proved to be at exceptionally high standards. The property is perfect for our 13 people and two dogs. Eddie was fantastic at communication and giving us advise on everything from food options, hiking and biking options as well as other area attrations and things to do. - "This was a great get away from the crowds and heat. Very nice home surrounded by hillside and trees. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of space for the 5 of us. Comfortable beds and house is well ventilated when windows are opened. Nice woods to stroll around, hang a hammock and walk along the road in eve, and also a short walk to reach Coyote Trail junction for local hike. Little traffic by the house but heard construction noise in distance. Drive time to lake and town center was minimal. Driveway is a bit steep but we had no problems & there is a turnaround. Gas grill worked and nice deck for relaxing and views."

Surrounded by tall Aspens, Pines, Blue Spruce, and beautiful mountains, this chalet is situated in the prestigious Angel Fire Country Club Resort. Located less than 5 minutes from the ski lifts, 5 minutes from the golf course, adjacent to mountain biking and hiking trails in the Greenbelt.

The upstairs Master bedroom boast a king-size log bed, jetted tub/shower, opening to a cozy loft. The loft can be used as a perfect sleeping area for your young adults or grands. Furnished with a log futon that pulls out to a full size bed and twin bunks. A small desk for reading or catching up on homework or social media. DREO AC is temporary installed in Master for summer cooling.

The chalet has three Smart TV’s (2 Samsung, 1 Roku) one in the living room, master bedroom, and downstairs bedroom. Secure high speed wireless internet is provided. The living room and bedrooms are equipped with Alexa devices.

The main living area has captivating views of the surrounding landscape. The beautiful large dining table can comfortably seat 8. Two large leather sofas and leather rocker/recliner chair with make you feel like you’re home and provide plenty of seating. AC is temporary installed in Living Room for summer cooling.

The seasons will draw you outside to enjoy the large deck. Deck seating for 10 will allow you and your family/friends to take in beautiful Angel Fire. A gas grill will allow you to cook up the fresh catch of the day. Guests are welcomed to a beautiful view, crisp air, expansive deck seating equipped with a propane fire pit. A fully equipped kitchen stocked with spices and essentials, wine bar with amenities, coffee bar with both a Cuisinart Single brew and Cuisinart full brew, and Gourmet Hot Cocoa Bar. The house also offers LG pedestal washer/dryer set with laundry detergent/dryer sheets. Closets and cabinets are stocked with extra set of bed linens and the both bathrooms have an abundance of towels. When booking our chalet, you just need to bring your personal items, relax, and enjoy your stay! The hardest thing you will do here is leave.

Angel Fire, NM got its name from the Moache Utes. Seeing mysterious tongues of red and orange licking the morning sky, one of the elders claimed it was the "fire of the gods". Needless to say, this mesmerizing village is on the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway. Cozy up in one of the spacious cabins next to the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course, one of the best high-elevation courses in the US. Enjoy numerous outdoor activities such as skiing or snowboarding, ziplining, or visiting a splendid lake!

Please also note that all condos do not have a fireplace, and are assigned at random by the resort unless you have a specific request. In summer, open the dual 12-foot glass doors and step out to the three separate steel main-level decks offering spectacular views of the Moreno Valley and Wheeler peak.

The kitchen, conveniently open to both the 8-seating dining table and living room, offers seating for 16 easily, with both a bench and table arrangement and bar seating. Experience top-notch meal preparation on our 48-inch commercial Wolf stove with double ovens and grill, Bosch dishwasher, double sink with pull-down stainless faucet, large-capacity refrigerator with built in water filter and ice-maker, crockpot, roaster, blender, 60-second boil teapot. The kitchen includes all pots and pans, professional knives, cookware, dishware, nutribullet, popcorn maker, and an espresso maker with frother as well as regular coffee maker. Also included are kids cups, plates, and utensils. For your convenience, we have also provided a stocked pantry, including sweeteners, commonly used spices, and other items to assist your cooking.
In addition a new Weber grill with sear station for perfect steaks and burgers is just outside, under the covered porch.

The dining room seats 8 Adults easily, with soaring views of the Texas Flats run and Wheeler peak beyond. Seating for a further 14 in the eat-in kitchen, with 4 more bar top spots. In addition, folding chairs are provided to allow you too seat even more.

In summer, enjoy your meals on our outdoor deck with dining table, and custom designed outdoor fireplace, ideal for smores making! Dine in style among the aspens as your children play on our acre of land, swing from the monkey swing, enjoy our ninja ropeline.

Recover from your mountain adventures in summer or winter in our 8 person hot tub, set covered by a deck and steps from our library room. If you prefer soaking in privacy, venture downstairs to our dual-head shower and jacuzzi spa jetted tub.

Our floors are wood and concrete, with radiant heating for your comfort, and our furnishings are modern, simple, yet beautiful. Children of all ages love our unique bunk niches hidden by sliding barn doors, and our bedrooms and baths are tastefully appointed and comfortable, with new high thread count sheets and pillows.

For entertainment, enjoy full house fiber optic wi-fi, as well as big screen TVs and DVD players on every level, with smart TV access available house wide. Should you need to get some work done, enjoy the use of the upstairs office with desk and chair. Access your own channels on the smartTV for unlimited streaming on our main floor TV. The lower level is where you can send the kids after dinner, to enjoy watching a movie on the big screen, playing on the wii or xbox 360, or playing ping pong.. Littler ones might enjoy lounging in the library room with their own TV and DVD player. If you have never stayed in Angel Fire before please message us to have a chat about the wonderful, very small town as it is not for everyone. This is a REMOTE mountain community, not a major ski resort like Breck. There are not many restaurants. Road conditions are NOT like bigger towns. DO NOT BOOK this property if you are planning to drive to Taos also - it is at the TOP of the mountain. If that is your plan, you would be better off on a golf-level property if you want to stay in Angel Fire, or an in-town Taos property. The Modern Chalet is best for families or large groups who plan to cook meals and ski-in and out and do not need to drive down each day.
