About The Town:

Eldorado Springs is a quirky, eclectic, private little village. It is adjacent to the most beautiful of Colorado’s State Parks, and has absolutely stunning scenery. The houses are quite charming and are also somewhat close to one another, creating a real community feel. The Chalet is set back from the road, with a private (shared) patio, but in front of the house, you can hear the sounds of the normal hustle and bustle of residents living their daily lives in town. The town is quiet for the most part, though it does get a fair amount of visitors. On the weekends, the town comes alive with people visiting the State Park, and while most days are truly serene, there is a certain amount of visitor traffic to contend with. We want guests to know exactly what to expect!

A Few House Rules:

There is a husky on the property who likes to run free. Please don’t let the husky out! This space is most comfortable with 1 or 2 guests, but it can potentially accommodate 3 so long as they don’t mind being in (very) close quarters. No loud parties or get togethers please, as neighbors are close and sound reverberates in the canyon. Driving slowly in the canyon is a must. Check-in is 2 PM or later, and check-out is 11 AM or earlier, any special accommodations for this must be communicated. An accurate guest count is mandatory–absolutely no guests may stay who are not agreed to by the hosts. Security cameras exist in the outside spaces, for the safety and security of the property and its guests and residents.

About The Space:

Sleeping: The Chalet can comfortably sleep 2-4 people, but as we mentioned before, the space is quite small, and so we recommend 2 guests. As you can see in the photos, there is a full over full bunk bed with exceptionally comfortable mattresses and bedding. We understand that Eldorado Canyon is a world-class climbing destination and are willing to accommodate up to a maximum of 4, so long as all guests understand that the space is not really meant for 4 people and they will be in very close proximity to one another.

Bathroom: All bathroom essentials are available, including a toilet, shower, towels, and vanity. If it’s important to you, take note that privacy is limited in regards to the bathroom, as there is only a curtain separating the bathroom from the rest of the space. It’s true tiny home living.

Main Area / Kitchen: The main area includes a lounge chair and a high-top table with 2 chairs, along with a kitchen area that is fully equipped with everyday cooking essentials, kitchenware, and utensils. There’s also a french press and coffee grinder, hotpot, microwave/convection oven, a multimode toaster oven, sink, and a ¾ size refrigerator with freezer.

Laundry: The shared laundry room resides underneath the living space and can be accessed with a smart lock. Guests will need to download an app and will be provided with a code to access the laundry and the Chalet

Patio: Guests are welcome to use any of the multiple seating options available on the patio. The patio has full wifi access. Traeger pellet grill is available too, with permission from the hosts. Outdoor wood stove is available for small, contained fires, but only during safe times of the year.

Temperature control: Make yourself comfortable by adjusting the electric baseboard heating or by turning on the air conditioner (not installed year round, but available any time.) We find that opening up a couple windows in the spring, summer, and fall is all you need to cool the place.

WiFi: High-speed WiFi is available for those who are working from home or just want to cozy up for a movie on their device.

Guest Access and Parking:

Self Check-in is possible, though the Chalet is unique and we like to show guests the ins and outs of the space and how to care for it. Guests have direct access to the Chalet through the front gate, including the laundry room and the shared patio/outdoor dining area. Guests will have 1 parking space, a coveted amenity in Eldorado Springs!

Non-paying Guests:

Insurance does not allow non-paying and non-registered guests on the property. Accommodations can be made for temporary guests with host communication only.

Additional Notes:

This is tiny-home, mountain living! Eldorado Springs is located in a riparian area, in a box canyon. This means there are insect hatches near the creek from time to time. Great for fishing! The windows on the Chalet have screens so it is easy to keep them out if guests keep the door closed. The road in front of the Chalet is gravel, and produces some dust, and some potholes. Neither issue is too serious, but we don’t want our guests to be surprised. So probably not the best place to bring your Ferrari.

Recycling/Composting: Well it’s Boulder, so we’re big on recycling! We ask that you place all recyclable materials in the shared recycling bin for pickup. We ask that guests place all perishables in the provided compost bin/bags in the Chalet, and then in the bear-proof bin by the street. This ensures no unwanted visitors and also protects the bears.

Shared Space: When we’re not traveling, we live in the main house on the property. We share the parking lot, fenced yard, laundry room, and patio space with the guests that stay in the tiny home. We are welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We love to meet our guests and ensure they have everything they need, including recommendations for the best places to eat and things to do in our area.

Our home is located in a neighborhood and while it feels remote, it's not! Our house is a great fit for you if you like the peace and quiet of the mountains, dark nights, and big views. We want to be respectful of our neighbors, so if you're looking for a remote place for a big party...this isn't it! Thanks for respecting our community!

Note regarding cameras on the property: There are three outdoor security cameras on this property. We use them to monitor the house and outdoor spaces when guests are not at the house. One camera is located near the main entrance and faces the driveway. One camera is located on the south deck. One camera is mounted under the eave on the main deck just above the kitchen dining nook and faces the table and hot tub. The cameras on the decks are turned off upon guest arrival. The camera facing the driveway will remain on and will light up at night when triggered by movement.

The proximity to hiking, Evergreen, Idaho Springs, Denver, etc. makes for the perfect smorgasbord of activities to please everyone in our family. The house was clean and well-stocked. We love the bonus fridge in the pantry! The mattresses were very comfortable, and there were pillow options to make everyone happy. It is easy to cook at the house, but close enough to venture out to our favorites - Beau Jo's and Lariat Lodge. Morning coffee on the deck is delightful, and we had a couple of fun wildlife sightings while there; a curious fox and baby birds in a prime location. Still a safe distance from our curious kiddos, but close enough that we could watch them each day. We highly recommend this spot. It's a treasure and we're already looking forward to next year!"

🌲 Outside:
Step onto the sprawling patio deck with a cup of coffee in hand and take in breathtaking mountain views—your own slice of high-altitude paradise. After a day of hiking, exploring downtown Evergreen, or spotting wildlife, unwind in the private hot tub and soak in the serenity of nature.

We are located 8,700 feet above sea level. AWD is required year round and during November-April snow tires are required. We find the drive relatively easy for the elevation we are located at but coming prepared with the correct vehicle and tires is a MUST. This is subjective to each individuals experience with the climate and natural elements. Our drive-way is steep and because of this we do recommend 4WD November- April. Use caution driving down the driveway. The first .25 miles down the mountain from our cabin are especially steep. Please proceed this stretch with caution. We do provide snow removal in the winter months and do our very best to maintain it but with unpredictable weather and winds, snow can drift onto the driveway. We cannot guarantee the drive-way will be completely cleared prior to your arrival. Please come prepared. This means hiking shoes or snow boots with good footing. We do provide snow shovels for guests to use for light snow or in-between snow plows. Many guests love and enjoy this experience, but if you are not the adventurous type or do not have experience in these elements this might not be the rental for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns before booking.

Other Things to Note:
If it snows during your stay guests may need to shovel the deck/pathway to clear a path. We have snow removal service after every major snow storm ends but it is likely you may need to shovel snow. Ice melt is usually readily available.

We are a dog friendly rental. We charge a non-refundable pet fee of $75. You can select the pet option in the same area you select guest count. If you have missed it, please reach out to us to pay your pet fee. Please inquire about multiple pets, multiple month stays and if you are traveling with cats.

The Air Conditioning is a mini split system installed in the bedroom.

If it snows during your stay guests may need to shovel the deck to clear a path. Please use the snow salt provided. If roads are open and you can't make it to the rental no refunds will be issued. This is a beautiful mountain home and you need to be able bodied to access when there is adverse weather.

There is a weather monitoring camera facing the driveway only.

There are no parties or events allowed at the rental.

Maximum occupancy is 2 guests.

If house rules are broken we reserve the right to withhold your security deposit and/or cancel your reservation.

HOT TUB
Our hot tub servicer rotates the service day. It typically falls Mon-Tues, but this can vary from week to week. There is a chance the hot tub will be serviced during your stay. When the water is changed, it takes 12-24 hours for the water to reheat. If this occurs during your stay, we cannot guarantee the hot tub will reach the desired temperature at that time.

CHILD PROOFING: Guest understands that no special efforts have been made to “childproof” this house, and accept the risk or harm to any children/infants we allow on the property.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
After confirming your booking, you'll receive a text to download our app, DACK. Using the app, you can request early check-ins and late check-outs for an additional fee. While we can't guarantee approval due to same-day check-ins and check-outs, we'll do our best to accommodate your requests when possible.

TRAVEL INSURANCE/CANCELLATIONS
We HIGHLY recommend buying travel insurance through your airline company, car rental company, or a travel insurance website. We cannot provide a refund for anything that falls outside of our cancellation policy and the dates that correspond with the policy. This includes date change requests as they are considered the same as cancellations (if the new requested check-in date is a later date than your original check-in date). We cannot provide a refund due to travel related issues or Covid, Please review your cancellation policy if you haven't already. This can be found under your reservation, directly through our listing, or through the website that you booked. In most cases (but not all), you have a minimum of 48 hours to cancel your reservation to receive a full refund. Many reservations may have a longer period for a full refund. Last minute bookings are typically non-refundable.

While the space has been remodeled, it is still a mountain home. The basement stays cool in summer without A/C, and we operate heat on very expensive propane and space heaters. We do ask guests to layer up, use blankets, and try to conserve energy.

Wildlife, including bear, mountain lion, moose, deer, and rodents are common. You may see an occasional spider, field mouse, etc. So if these concern you, our place may not be a good fit.

Nestled in the mountains at 8,700 feet this renovated and professionally designed A-Frame Cabin is the perfect blend of comfort, style, and location. Located in Evergreen we are 15 minutes from downtown which offers great options for dining, shopping, entertainment and Evergreen Lake. Abundant wildlife outside our door includes deer, fox and on rare occasions even bear. Our home is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the best that Colorado has to offer.

The Space:
Our cozy cabin is fully furnished and designed perfectly for all your needs. Featuring high speed Starlink internet, breakfast seating, a living space for watching TV or playing games, one full-bath, one bedroom, a wood pellet stove inside and gas fire pit on the deck. Cozy-up with tea in the morning and wine at night. This is the perfect little getaway!

Outside:
Sit outside in the morning with your cup of coffee on our sprawling patio deck. The views are amazing and the perfect backdrop to your mountain retreat. After you’ve returned from your day-time activities, take a break in our hot-tub.

We are located 8,700 feet above sea level. AWD is required year round and during November-April snow tires are required. We find the drive relatively easy for the elevation we are located at but coming prepared with the correct vehicle and tires is a MUST. This is subjective to each individuals experience with the climate and natural elements. Our drive-way is steep and because of this we do recommend 4WD November- April. Use caution driving down the driveway. The first .25 miles down the mountain from our cabin are especially steep. Please proceed this stretch with caution. We do provide snow removal in the winter months and do our very best to maintain it but with unpredictable weather and winds, snow can drift onto the driveway. We cannot guarantee the drive-way will be completely cleared prior to your arrival. Please come prepared. This means hiking shoes or snow boots with good footing. We do provide snow shovels for guests to use for light snow or in-between snow plows. Many guests love and enjoy this experience, but if you are not the adventurous type or do not have experience in these elements this might not be the rental for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns before booking.

Other Things to Note:
If it snows during your stay guests may need to shovel the deck/pathway to clear a path. We have snow removal service after every major snow storm ends but it is likely you may need to shovel snow. Ice melt is usually readily available.

We are a dog friendly rental. We charge a non-refundable pet fee of $100. You can select the pet option in the same area you select guest count. If you have missed it, please reach out to us to pay your pet fee. Please inquire about multiple pets, multiple month stays and if you are traveling with cats.

The queen bed in the living room is a Murphy Bed.

The Air Conditioning is a mini split system installed in the bedroom.

If it snows during your stay guests may need to shovel the deck to clear a path. Please use the snow salt provided. If roads are open and you can't make it to the rental no refunds will be issued. This is a beautiful mountain home and you need to be able bodied to access when there is adverse weather.

There is a weather monitoring camera facing the driveway only.

There are no parties or events allowed at the rental.

Maximum occupancy is 2 guests.

If house rules are broken we reserve the right to withhold your security deposit and/or cancel your reservation.

HOT TUB
Our hot tub servicer rotates the service day. It typically falls Mon-Tues, but this can vary from week to week. There is a chance the hot tub will be serviced during your stay. When the water is changed, it takes 12-24 hours for the water to reheat. If this occurs during your stay, we cannot guarantee the hot tub will reach the desired temperature at that time.

CHILD PROOFING: Guest understands that no special efforts have been made to “childproof” this house, and accept the risk or harm to any children/infants we allow on the property.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
After confirming your booking, you'll receive a text to download our app, DACK. Using the app, you can request early check-ins and late check-outs for an additional fee. While we can't guarantee approval due to same-day check-ins and check-outs, we'll do our best to accommodate your requests when possible.

TRAVEL INSURANCE/CANCELLATIONS
We HIGHLY recommend buying travel insurance through your airline company, car rental company, or a travel insurance website. We cannot provide a refund for anything that falls outside of our cancellation policy and the dates that correspond with the policy. This includes date change requests as they are considered the same as cancellations (if the new requested check-in date is a later date than your original check-in date). We cannot provide a refund due to travel related issues or Covid, Please review your cancellation policy if you haven't already. This can be found under your reservation, directly through our listing, or through the website that you booked. In most cases (but not all), you have a minimum of 48 hours to cancel your reservation to receive a full refund. Many reservations may have a longer period for a full refund. Last minute bookings are typically non-refundable.
