This is a newly renovated spacious 1BR/1BA apartment that sleeps 4. We provide a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa. We are located in a perfect downtown location with excellent views of the mountains. You can walk right out your door with just steps to Elk Avenue where all downtown shops and restaurants are located. We are also only 1 block from the bus stop where you can catch the free shuttle up to Mt. Crested Butte. We also provide wireless internet. Business License #006280

The host was wonderful and had all the information provided for us. The apartment was charming and the bed was very comfortable. My son and his friend slept on the pull out couch and they said it was wonderful. Beth's instructions and notes around the place were spot on. My only suggestions would be to have a TV in the master bedroom and an easier shower to use. The water temperature went from hot to really cold. I could not figure out how to make the temperature just right. I love that you had a Keurig, but only decaf pods. Maybe add some caffeinated ones. I also didn't realize that at 2am the snow removal people would plow snow, which woke me up the first night. The next two nights, it was not as alarming and I was able to fall right back to sleep. Lastly, this has nothing to do with the owner or place, but my car was towed. I parked it by the tennis courts and I thought I read the signs correctly. Apparently, I was wrong and when I went to look for it on Thursday morning, it was gone. The marshall officer was very nice and drove me to get my car. It was $190 oversight on my part. Crested Butte needs better signage. The signs were covered with snow and far from the 'public parking' sign, so I did not think it was applicable to where I parked my car. Otherwise, Crested Butte was a gem. I hope to back this summer"

Mt. Crested Butte 1st floor end unit that has Kitchenette, king bed( probably medium soft; definitely not firm),large shower and living room with new smart TV; sofa and work table can also be used for dining. There is a one bedroom 2nd floor unit you could also rent if u have a larger group. The 2 units have a common entry area but each unit has their own separate entry door. The kitchenette has microwave, fridge, coffee pot,( no coffee)hot plate with skillet and saucepan and small crockpot, dishes etc. There is a deck off of the bedroom that faces Mt Crested Butte as well as a patio in summer. In winter it is covered in snow. The outside spaces are great in Summer, Spring,Fall because of small covered deck and large wooden patio with canopy and flowers and trees. People tell me it is relaxing. The West Wall Quad Lift is a short walk up hill (ONLY Dec 20- March 5 and then snow starts to melt) or the free condo loop bus stops at our driveway every 1/2 hour, in winter. From April thru November ( or anytime) you can walk 15 minutes to base area. ( if u live at this altitude it is less than 10 minutes).There is parking for 1 car as this unit only sleeps 2. The unit has no safety features for toddlers. There are biking and hiking trails nearby. This unit is no smoking on the property and no pets due to owner's allergies and regular guest's allergies. The owners live in the house so u may see us outside and this is a caretaker unit. We do not allow atv's or dirt bikes or trailers on the property. This is a dead end street and quiet neighborhood with a lot of locals. Entire unit is decorated in museum quality free-style ski exhibits from the 70's. It would be rare to find a condo with an exhibit like this. Paul is on the editorial board of ISHA. (International Ski History Assoc) . There is a lot of ski art and ski exhibits so if you are a minimalist, this may not be for you. Maximum stay of 5 nights is best since it only has a kitchenette, but you could stay longer if you like to eat out. NOTE: we have a fan in bedroom in summer if it becomes hot. The Space:
Located on the 1st floor of the upscale Black Bear Lodge, this unit comes with everything you need to make the most of your time in Crested Butte. Positioned 100 yards from the West Wall ski lift, steps from the shuttle bus stop, this 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit is ideally located for both mountain and town access.
With large windows, an open floor plan and decor that will make you feel right at home in the mountains, this one-story condo feels much bigger than its square footage. The living/dining/kitchen allow for you to be a part of it all while you prepare dinner or serve your hungry crew of outdoor enthusiasts.

The kitchen with knotty alder cabinets and granite countertops is equipped with all the amenities. You can seat 4 comfortably at the dining room table with 2 additional seats at the bar top. Cozy up next to the gorgeous stone hearth and enjoy the gas fireplace during a meal or enjoy the outdoors on the patio with living room or primary bedroom access.

All of our kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, cookware and utensils. While most properties have salt, pepper, and basic cooking pantry items, we do not guarantee these will be available upon arrival.

The primary suite offers a queen bed, deck access, TV, a soaking tub, with a separate shower and double vanities. The second bedroom has two twins that can be prepared before your arrival into a king bed upon request. (Please give at least 48 hours notice for bed request) A separate full bath with shower is adjacent to this bedroom. There is a new pullout couch in the living room. There is also a washer/dryer in the condo. As an added perk, guests have access to a dedicated ski locker inside the lobby to store your gear for the duration of your stay.

Black Bear Lodge is one of the very few properties on the mountain with heated, underground parking! No more scraping your windshield or having to warm up your car. Two parking spaces are available for guests to use (one dedicated to #105 and one for a guest space). You will find two parking passes in the condo to display in your vehicles. If you don't feel like driving your car, the shuttle bus stop is right on the corner (about 25 yards away). This makes traveling to and from town or the base area super easy, and to hit the slopes, take the 2-minute walk across Hunter Hill Road, through the tunnel and straight to the West Wall Lift.

Additional features of the lodge: a large communal hot tub is right around the corner (this is open seasonally for the entire winter ski season and in the summer from roughly mid-June to the end of September.) 2 robes and oversized towels provided, a large lodge room with TV for gatherings, private locked ski locker on the ground floor common area, and a communal outdoor gas grill. Walk 100 yards to the ski slopes in the winter and to many hiking and biking trails in the summer.

The garage entrance is 94 inches. No trailer or RV's are allowed at this property due to town regulations and/or HOA covenants or restrictions.

All of our properties have a 5 night minimum for the main summer of 6/26-8/8/2026 until 1/1/2026 at which point our minimum night stays will be reduced to 3 nights.

The minimum age for all persons in this property is 25 years, except children (of all ages) with their parent or legal guardian.

Parking Permits: All vehicles parked within parking spaces on the Black Bear Lodge property must display a valid Black Bear Lodge parking permit. parking permits are supplied by the Managing Agent and are available at the owner’s request.
Illegally parked vehicles, recreational vehicles, trailers, derelict vehicles, or stored personal property in any parking space will be removed or towed at the owner's expense with or without notice.

Guest Access:
Guests will be emailed with arrival instructions 3 days prior to their arrival at 4 pm.

The Neighborhood:
The Black Bear Lodge is a luxury condominium complex. It has a gathering space on the main level where there is a tv, fireplace and comfortable couches. The locker room is off this room. The complex offers its own parking garage with elevator access to all levels.

Getting Around:
It is likely easiest if you do rent a car to get around but there is a shuttle that will stop just a 1/4 block from the front door and take you to the base area. You can also walk across the street, through the Westwall patio (there is an easement) and to the slopes right at the Westwall Lift.

We are located high above the base area at the end of Cinnamon Mountain Road in a quiet neighborhood in a cul-de-sac. The blue ski trail down to the base area is just 40 steps across the street and the ski back is down Columbine Hill via Painter Boy lift.

To access the guesthouse, park per the parking plan, and walk down 2.5 flights of stairs (52 steps). Easy to access ski, snowboard and gear storage is available in a shared mud room at driveway level. The Guest house is the entire ground floor of the main house. The private patio with fire pit, two outdoor sofas , six person hot tub, and grill is for Teo 2 guests use only and is not shared.

Perched high above the Mt Crested Butte ski area, with breathtaking views, this guesthouse is the perfect vacation spot for an incredible winter trip. Completed in 2022, the lower level of our house has a beautiful walk-out patio with fire pit, sofas, grill and private six person hot tub. The living room has comfortable seating to view your favorite shows on the 55" smart TV. This high-tech, modern house has in-floor radiant heat, dimmable lighting, and a whole house ventilator that provides continuous, warm humidified fresh mountain air. Full sized washer and dryer are conveniently located right outside the bedrooms. The fully-equipped modern kitchenette has a precise induction cooktop, complete coffee/tea station, air fryer, microwave and dishwasher. Four comfortable stools on the cooktop peninsula make dining-in a pleasure. Watch the sun set after a long day of skiing from the king sized bed in the master suite. The second bedroom has an amazing accent wall fully lit with led string lights. A large double vanity bathroom with a rain shower is located next to the second bedroom. A very comfortable Italian sleeper sofa (queen size) with mountain views is located in the living room. For convenience, store your gear in a shared, heated mud room at driveway level. . There is driveway parking for 2 cars.

FirstTracks will transport you back-and-forth from our house to the base area transit center. There is also the free town shuttle to Crested Butte. A late night bus is available that will bring you right to our door. There is also a free bus between Gunnison and Mt. Crested Butte.

From DIA: A short train ride will take you to Union station where you can take a 6 hour bus to Crested Butte. The Bustang bus runs twice daily. Check internet for the latest bus schedule.

From Gunnison: Flights arrive from Denver, Dallas, Houston, and Chicago. Alpenglow Rentals, Hertz, Avis, and Budget car rentals are available at the airport. We recommend making advance arrangements to rent a car prior to arrival. Transportation is also offered by Alpine Express; reservations are required. You can also book a private shuttle with Rocky Rides or Dolly’s Mountain Shuttle.

NOTE: There is residential construction ~300 ft. from the guest house but our triple pane windows should mitigate any noise.

The lodge's hot tub, steam room, and heated pool here were accessible and big enough so that it never felt super crowded. We had enough room to park our large truck in the outdoor lot and never had any issues with finding parking.The only negative I can think of is that the room itself doesn't have a great view. And this Lodge is pretty dated in terms of furnishing & decor, but for the price it was affordable and comfortable.I would hesitate to bring a reactive dog here - this is a very pet-friendly place with lots of adorable pups!"

Meredian Lake Estates is perfectly located just 7 minutes from Elk Avenue in the historic part of Crested Butte where great restaurants, brewery's and shopping abound. The ski resort is a short 8 minute drive. Our guests have access to the private Meredian Lake for fishing and water sports. Mountain Modern is below the Snodgrass Trail, so stellar trail hiking are just steps away. In summer, guests just need to hike up the backyard to meet the trail. It's the mountain alternative to living next to Disneyland! Alternatively, you can hike to the locals favorite hidden gem, Long Lake. Other popular hiking and mountain biking trails are available right outside the front door. The location is serene mountain living but with all the modern amenities just minutes away.

Meredian Lake is just a short walk and is a private lake for owners and guests of the Meredian Lake subdivision. You can fish or kayak to your hearts desire. Another fifteen minute walk up from the lake and you will find Long Lake. This is a large public lake popular with locals and kids to fish, SUP or swim.

Meredian Lake is a quiet neighborhood with many full time residents. Mountain Modern has stellar 360 degree views covering Whetstone, Red Lady, Mt Crested Butte and Long Lake ridge. And in summertime, it's immersed in wildflowers like lupines, sunflowers and animals such as deer and fawn.

Staying at Mountain Modern does require that you have your own transportation. But if you need to charge your electric vehicle, we have a dedicated EV Charger (level 2) for your use. Winter months require a 4-wheel drive vehicle as the driveway is very steep. The roads are paved all the way through Meredian Estates and are plowed by the city and county. However, a snowstorm can quickly drop a lot of snow very quickly, so one needs to be prepared. There is a free shuttle bus at the four way stop in town. You can park at the four way and hop on the free shuttle bus, exiting feet from the ski lifts. This is the most convenient and direct way to get on the lifts. It's extremely convenient on the return as you can apres ski in town before heading back home.

To get the most out of your visit during summer months, we still recommend a high clearance vehicle. We are minutes from the Paradise Divide loop and the roads are unpaved. The drive up Washington Gulch is stunning and not to be missed in summer months. The wildflowers stretch for miles and are truly breathtaking. You can take the loop drive and come back down past Emerald Lake on Gothic Road or return using Slate River Road. Both are beautiful drives but do require high clearance vehicles to make the most of exploring this beautiful valley.

Come back from an awesome day of biking, hiking, or skiing and hit the hot tub!

I also have two portable chairs if you want to hit the Live music on Wednesday nights in the summer season at Mountaineer Square!
My place isn't the biggest but it's definitely a perfect little nook for a couples retreat! Just steps out of the door is the hot tub area and laundry is just above my unit, also laundry in the second building as well. Quarters only, which you’ll have to get off site.
Feel free to snuggle on the couch and enjoy Netflix, HuLu, Amazon or cable! Or bring your own DVD :)

There is no need to go far to spend all day shredding fresh powder, as you will be within walking distance of the lifts. For some fun away from the slopes, this resort offers a stunning shared indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness facility, and a plethora of restaurants and shops to explore. When you return to home base, the kitchenette is equipped with a one-burner stove, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker to make whipping up snacks or storing leftovers a breeze. And, the king bed and Murphy bed will welcome you to get a bit of shuteye as you recoup for another day of fun.

CBMR is great to visit in any season, offering fun mountain activities for the whole group! At the end of a day outside, we recommend grabbing a tasty drink at the Avalanche Bar & Grill - they've got some great Happy Hour deals. If you're wanting to head into the main town centre, make sure to visit Lil's Sushi Bar & Grill. Pick up your groceries at Mountain Earth Whole Foods in town before heading to your rental in the mountains. If you're staying for a few days, we highly recommend checking out a show at the Center for the Arts Crested Butte!
