This gorgeously restored historic condo feels spacious and sunny with it's high ceilings and large windows. Located at the only stoplight in downtown Salida, you can overlook the goings-on of downtown from the huge windows that grace our condo's kitchen and living space. The condo is above a coffee shop, with other shops, restaurants and galleries just steps away. Hiking and biking trails and river walk are 1 block away. Monarch Ski Area is just 20 miles away from us.

This "Bird's Nest" apartment/bungalow style accommodation is ideal while playing in the Collegiate Peak Mountains, guests can walk to a winery, a brewery, several restaurants and even a handy grocery/hardware store. The perfect apres ski, float, raft, fish, hunt, wine tasting, brewery hopping, shopping pad is nestled in the Colorado mountains in a quaint motor lodge style Lodge. The Bird's Nest is our cozy little bungalow that sleeps as many as five -eight, depending on the configuration of your group. It is perfect for families, groups of friends, ski groups, hunters, etc. It comes with a lovely living area, with a 50 inch flat screen Roku TV, a dining area and a full kitchen. The bungalow offers two bedrooms. One bedroom sleeps up to 5 with a bunk bed with a full size bed and a twin and another bunk bed with two twin size beds. The second bedroom sleeps up to two in a queen bed and it's own air conditioner. Step outside via the backdoor into your own creek side oasis as our property has a running creek that runs through it. The bungalow comes complete with a creek side gas grill and seating area. Adjacent to the garden courtyard, you can enjoy that as well and sit by the fire pit or enjoy your breakfast from the FlaminGo breakfast food truck (delicious breakfast options) outside with our families of birds, deer and butterflies. The bungalow requires a two night stay. We do rent for one night with an additional cleaning fee, so feel free to enquire about that if can only stay one night.

- "We left many of the amenities unused. The inside is very functioinal for a two person get-away. The layout is well thought out and the property manager was extremely responsive to any issues during our stay. We didn't have the chance to explore any of the outdoor amenities like the gazebo, firepit and hammock. The views are wonderful. The sounds of the Akansas River in the background are very soothing and the river is an active fishing destination as was evidenced by many anglers trying their luck along its multi-mile banks during our stay. I know we'll be back."

The bed was decently comfortable. Communication was a bit disappointing. I had to reach out to ask for the wifi information. I also reached out to ask for more toilet paper when we ran out and never heard back at all. We ended up having to buy a big pack just for one roll. Was bummed to have to spend my own money on a necessity for the rental. Overall you can’t beat the location so I would recommend staying here."

Welcome to the Apartment at Howl! Our space is designed for one couple or a couple with an infant—please refrain from accessing the closed loft.

Ensuring your safety, we follow a rigorous COVID-19 Cleaning Protocol. Between each guest, we use an electrostatic sprayer for disinfection, utilizing non-toxic cleaners and proper PPE for our staff. We employ a CDC-recommended non-toxic disinfectant and wash linens with an earth-friendly detergent and HOT water.

Note that the bathroom is accessed through a hallway within the apartment (refer to the floorplan in our photos). The entire apartment is exclusively yours; it is not shared with the coffee shop, and you need not worry about any intrusion from employees or customers. Although the space originated from a commercial kitchen and mop closet, creating a unique layout, it may differ from traditional apartment expectations. Our downtown parking space accommodates a vehicle with a boat trailer.

Additionally, please be aware that the apartment is situated behind a coffee shop (NOT UPSTAIRS). While we open in the morning and occasionally host evening events, there is potential for noise. Quiet hours are observed between 10 pm and 7 am; outside of these hours, you may hear us. You have private access to the apartment, including the bathroom, which is not shared with the shop. In an unlikely emergency, we reserve the right to access the electric panel, utility closet, or hallway. We will communicate with you and knock on the door if such a situation arises.

Please note that this Airbnb is not wheelchair accessible and may pose difficulties for individuals with mobility issues.

The space
This is on a working ranch so please don't wear a lot of white and expect it to stay clean if you venture out to see either the cows or the pigs.

The apartment is on the bottom floor of a 3 story A frame. It opens onto a lovely yard with large windows and fabulous views.

It is a one bedroom with a hide-a-bed in the living room as well.

The entry is on the west side of the house, below the deck. Parking is also on the west side very close to the entry.

This is located on a working ranch so expect to see ranch types of things going on. We don't use any herbicides or pesticides as we try to take good care of our planet. Hopefully, everyone can appreciate that and will give a little slack.

The Speakeasy Condo is located in the historic District of Downtown Salida, CO. The location provides easy walking to all downtown restaurants and bars. The Arkansas River runs through town a block away and the downtown park and amphitheater is within earshot. The condo is the newly remodeled second floor of a 1899 built historic building, come enjoy our town and the historic beginning of Colorado mountain living.

Located on the second floor and next door and across the street from restaurants and bars it is a central location to enjoy downtown Salida. Great views from all windows and the deck out back. We have 2 bedrooms and two queen size beds. The building in the past was used as a billiard hall, casino and rumored to be a speakeasy from the 1920's

The entire second floor and upstairs back deck is available for your stay. There is a full kitchen for cooking meals and an antique clawfoot tub for an historic experience.

There is a $75 cleaning fee for each reservation. During weekends and special events live music can be enjoyed from our space free of charge. The Speakeasy is a licensed short term rental with the city of Salida, License #0404.

This gorgeously restored historic condo feels spacious and sunny with it's high ceilings and large windows. Located at the only stoplight in downtown Salida, you can overlook the goings-on of downtown from the huge windows that grace our condo's kitchen and living space. The condo is above a coffee shop, with other shops, restaurants and galleries just steps away. Hiking and biking trails and river walk are 1 block away. Monarch Ski Area is just 20 miles away from us.

One of Salida's premier historical buildings in the heart of downtown. Great weekend getaway in the heart of Colorado. Loft is 2 blocks to the art galleries, shops, and restaurants. Raft, kayak, flyfish, mountain bike, hike, ski/snowboard, sno-cat ski, golf, horse-back ride, soak at 5 different hot springs all within 30 minutes, or just chill...something for everybody! The loft offers a peaceful, tranquil environment to escape from the hectic activities of life.

The space
This unique 2nd floor loft style property has views of all the mountains, yet is right downtown, so you can walk everywhere. It has a gourmet kitchen, granite countertops, 12ft ceilings, exposed original brick walls, gas grill, washer/dryer, wine cooler, and feels like home! One queen bed and one king bed with luxury linens, down comforters and goose-down pillows. Great for all seasons. Salida is the hidden gem of the rockies. Everything anyone could want is out my back door. Any questions or for specifics, please feel free to text. Dog owners-we allow ONE well behaved dog per rental for a $50 non-refundable pet fee. Airbnb DOES NOT collect this fee.

Guests will have access to the private and secure 2nd floor loft. Guests will utilize a shared downstairs hallway to access the loft, please be respectful of this space. The downstairs is four independently run offices.

The upstairs tenants have a private fenced in back yard with a BBQ. We love traveling with our fuzzy fur children and offer a fenced in backyard for our pets (please pick up dog poo and keep pets off furniture), The loft has off street parking and secure storage for bikes or skis.

1895 House ( Main floor apt. ) 3 blocks from downtown and a short 2 minute walk to the river bike path. Not high end ! Not low end either. Turnkey no frills kitchen. Large Deck, off street parking. Right in the middle of all the action in Salida. Historic and yet not uptight in the victorian sense. This place is not for the tightly wound perfectionist. It is a work in progress, please look elsewhere if this is you. Pricing is structured to encourage weekly stays.

Set up for a couple or a small family I suppose. There are several sleeping options besides the main bedroom such as a pull out bed a blow up bed and a short couch. There's a dining room off the kitchen and an outdoor patio too.
A living room with a sleeper couch and a smart tv , and a dumb stereo from the 90's w/ a record player and about 20records and there are guitars!

Location, location, location! Great for couples for a getaway or for families needing time away from the city. You couldn’t ask for a better location right in the center of Main (F) Street. Under a 2 min. walk to the famous Arkansas river, the NEW surf Scout Wave, all the best restaurants & then 45 min. to monarch ski resort! We welcome 🐶’s, please note we don’t have a outside space attached to the loft, so you will need to leash your pups & take the 1.5 block walk to the park for potty breaks.

We love that you can bring your pets, however we haven’t built the outdoor space on the roof just yet. So you will need to leash your pup and walk them to the park that is less that 1.5 blocks away.

With more than 3 hot springs close by and the famous Mt Princeton hot springs only 45 minutes.

Stairs:
There are stairs to access the loft from the street. Please note that for guests who might have a hard time on the stairs. Once you are in the loft there are no stairs and it is all one floor. We have included a picture of the stairs to make sure your group is comfortable with the access.

TV: 📺
We have our Hulu and Netflix accounts logged in for all guests at no charge. Please keep those accounts signed in so other guests can use them as well. You are welcome to use the smart tv for other subscriptions that you might have, but please sign out of your personal accounts before you leave.
