While there are buses that travel between Lake County and Summit County, you'll need to check the schedule for each season. Highways and roads leading north toward Summit or south toward Buena Vista are maintained in the winter months.

Other Things to Note:
Tiny houses have smaller water tanks than a normal house. We suggest taking short showers if your group plans to shower one after the other. House has limited electricity - please do not run a hairdryer and the microwave or it may trip the breaker in your tiny house.

My husband and I bought the Mountain Peaks Motel Jan 2021. Since we purchased the property, we did a full renovation for all the rooms. We are conveniently located at the heart of Leadville. Walking

You will have the entire room to your self. This is a 1 bedroom (queen size) and 1 bathroom. The room also includes a TV with direct TV services, a small dining/working table. Towels and bathroom essentials are provided. Our room also have microwave and a small fridge. We have a private parking lot where guests can park, we do our best to plow the parking lot, but when it snows, inevitably it will become slippery, please be careful walking in the parking lot. No smoking is allowed on the property inside or outside. If you need to smoke, feel free to go to the sidewalk next to the property.

You have access to your room and the parking lot. We are in the process of building more common areas to provide a even better experience, stay tuned!

We are right on the main street of Leadville. Two Mile Hi brewery is right across the street. There is also a gas station across the street providing basic services. We love High Mountain Pies, they have amazing pizza and wings, Tennessee Pass Café has one of the best brussels sprouts in town, they also have some delicious burgers/sandwich. If you are a meat eater, check out Quincys, their bacon wrapped fillet mignon is on point....they also serve prime ribs on weekends. All these restaurants are less than 5 minutes walk away.

If you want to check out down town Leadville, it's a short 5-10 minutes walk to anywhere you need to be. We are also close to a bunch of trail heads and ski resorts. We'd recommend a car if you want to enjoy the 100 miles + trail system in Leadville or go shred at the skiing resorts. Mountain Peaks Motel is a standout among the Leadville hotels Colorado. Mountain Peaks Motel is one of the best motel that is dog friendly.

Guest Access:
The space is completely private from the rest of the house and has a dedicated parking spot in the rear of the house. The unit is located on the third floor and accessed via the back deck. The steps up to the unit are metal/spiked! Just beware for sensitive puppy feet. Also please note that the home is older, as is typical in Leadville, and noise may occasionally leak from the main unit below. However, we provide white noise machines and earplugs for your convenience. Kindly respect the neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum after 10 pm. Additionally, please be aware that while the photos may still show twin beds, they have been replaced with a queen bed for your comfort.

Per Old Saint Vincent HOA Rules:
-This property is NOT pet friendly.
-Old St. Vincent's is a Smoke-Free building - including all unit balconies and all stairways/entryways.
-Parking is available for only two vehicles per unit. Additional vehicles must park on the street.
-No RVs, boats, or trailer campers may be parked in the parking lot.
-Heads Up: This is a historic building with poor insulation and very old windows. This unit will, unfortunately, get cold in the winter. We have space heaters in the closets, extra blankets, and electric baseboard & wall mounted heaters throughout the unit, but please note that on cold winter days the unit will get cold. Please be prepared!

Please note: if you are bringing an infant/children: there is not an elevator in this building meaning you will have to walk up or down stairs within the building. Also the OSV condos have baseboard heating: it is up to the guardian to make sure their child does not touch the baseboards as they can get burned.

Towels and bathroom essentials are provided, this is a stand up shower with a bath tub. We have a private parking lot where guests can park. NO TRAILER FOR THIS UNIT. The parking space is not big enough for a trailer. We are right on the main street of Leadville. Two Mile Hi brewery is right across the street. There is also a gas station across the street providing basic services. We love High Mountain Pies, they have amazing pizza and wings, Tennessee Pass Café has one of the best brussels sprouts in town, they also have some delicious burgers/sandwich. If you are a meat eater, check out Qincys, their bacon wrapped fillet mignon is on point....they also serve prime ribs on weekends. All these restaurants are less than 5 minutes walk away.

We love chatting with our guests and do the best we can to ensure our guests have a great experience! But we also want to respect if you want your personal space. Just don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything or have any questions!

If you want to check out down town Leadville, it's a short 5-10 minutes walk. We are also close to a bunch of trail heads and ski resorts. We'd recommend a car if you want to enjoy the 100 miles + trail system in Leadville or go shred at the skiing resorts.

We are conveniently located at the heart of Leadville. Walking distance to brewery, restaurants, Tabor Opera House and everything Leadville has to offer. We are surrounded by 14ers that waiting for you to conquer. Snowmobiling, hiking, snows shoeing, skiing, snowboarding, off-roading, mountain biking trails are all within a short 10 minute drive away!

1. In consideration for receiving permission to be on the Property/Premises owned by Leadville Motor Lodge, a Colorado Limited Liability Company and operated by Two Mile High Operations LLC, a Colorado Limited Liability Company hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue, Colorado Adventure Company and Two Mile High Operations LLC, its shareholders, directors, officers, servants, agents, contractors and employees (hereinafter referred to as “releases”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or relating to any loss, damage or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, my employees, subcontractors, guests or anyone else caused by or incidental to my electing to have access to this property/land, or to any property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence of the releases, or otherwise, while on or upon the premises, while in transit to or from the premises, or in any place or places connected with the Property/Premises. I understand the risks involved in being on this property/premises, and I recognize and agree to accept that any activity/activities involves risk of injury while being on this property/premises, and I assume all risks associated with it, including but not limited to property damage or loss, minor bodily injury, severe bodily injury, infection and death. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of my being on the premises, whether caused by the negligence of releases or otherwise.

Welcome to our charming rental property in Leadville! This suite, located on the lofted 3rd floor of a historic mansion built in 1893 by former Governor Jesse McDonald, offers a tranquil retreat. Enjoy the stunning view of Leadville and the surrounding mountains from the large 2nd story deck. The unit embodies Leadville's charm with its quiet, quaint, and colorful atmosphere. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, making it perfect for a couple of friends or a group of four. Situated just half a block from Main Street, you'll have easy access to all the attractions.

Please note that the home is older, as is typical in Leadville, and noise may occasionally leak from the main unit below. However, we provide white noise machines and earplugs for your convenience. Kindly respect the neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum after 10 pm. Additionally, please be aware that while the photos may still show twin beds, they have been replaced with a queen bed for your comfort.

The primary bedroom is spacious and charming, featuring a king-size bed with an ornate white iron headboard, a vanity sink, a large walk-in closet, an antique dresser with a mirror, and a cozy sitting area with a wing-back chair. The original plank pine floors are adorned with oriental-style rugs.

There is a cozy dormer bedroom off the living room, furnished with a comfortable queen bed, a dresser, and a matching nightstand.

The living room and kitchen share a large central area, creating a welcoming ambiance. The living room provides a sofa, an antique upholstered chair, a writing desk, and cable TV.

- "Loved the old, historic aspect of the Loft. Beautiful views from the windows. Walk to the main street shopping/coffee/restaurants was 1/2 block. Would definitely stay there again." - "The Loft on top of The Governor's Mansion was a perfect meeting place for two "old" friends who first knew each other when we worked at the Climax Mine. We both love Leadville so there was no doubt about the location. After taking some time to review options for lodging I decided on the Loft. It was perfect. Two bedrooms - one with a king-size bed if we wanted to sleep together and the other with twin beds if not. A living room and kitchen which was perfect for bringing back take-out and enjoying cold beverages. Since downtown is less than a block away, it is easy to walk to any of the restaurants and shops. The trek up to the third floor is breathtaking due to the spectacular view of Mounts Elbert and Massive as well as the altitude. Go slow and savor the experience! The treads on the stairs and efficient snow removal provide a safe ascent even during the winter months. (We used to say Leadville has three seasons: July, August and winter.) The days were the favorite ones I remember about Leadville - sunshine, bright blue sky, white snow, and bitter cold! It doesn't get any better than that...except maybe the picturesque summer days."

With elements of Leadville and history and a sleek modern design which features an electric fire place for added ambience, with one of a kind stain glass windows in each room. The condo is perfect for 2-4 adults looking to stay in a clean new home. There is high speed internet, Spectrum, Netflix and board games for entertainment. A humidifier is provided in the main living area. One bedroom has a full bed, walk-in closet with a TV. The second bedroom has a queen bed with TV. Enjoy a full size fully equipped stainless steel kitchen with dishwasher. The kitchen is ready for cooking, baking, with a toaster, crock pot/ liners, small air frier /liners, coffee pot/coffee provided, electric tea kettle with assorted tea’s and blender. There is a full size washer and dryer with iron and ironing board. Bathroom is supplied with plush towels, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer.

The space is completely private from the rest of the house and has a dedicated parking spot in the rear of the house. The unit is located on the third floor and accessed via the back deck. The steps up to the unit are metal/spiked! Just beware for sensitive puppy feet. Also please note that the home is older, as is typical in Leadville, and noise may occasionally leak from the main unit below. However, we provide white noise machines and earplugs for your convenience. Kindly respect the neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum after 10 pm. Additionally, please be aware that while the photos may still show twin beds, they have been replaced with a queen bed for your comfort.

The Governor's Mansion was once the home of former Governor Jesse McDonald and is centrally located in Leadville's National Historic Landmark District. Part of this house was built in 1881, with the mansion portion completed in 1893. Former Governor, Jesse McDonald, who sought and found his fortune in Leadville, built this big house to entertain guests as they travelled through town.

Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants.

Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We are one a block from historic downtown Leadville. The Abbey is a unique space that often hosts multiple guests and is sometimes home to the owners' family of seven.

The space
You will have the entire unit to your self. This includes 1 bedroom, 1 small kitchen/living room and 1 bathroom. The unit also includes TVs with direct TV services, a small couch and coffee table to hangout.

Kitchen provides basic cookware, utensils, cups, coffee, kettle for tea and a french press coffee maker.

Towels and bathroom essentials are provided, this is a stand up shower with a bath tub. We have a private parking lot where guests can park. NO TRAILER FOR THIS UNIT. The parking space is not big enough for a trailer. If you have a trailer, there's plenty of street parking, or you can book Cabin A (you can find it under my profile), which has enough parking space for truck and trailer parking. We do our best to plow the parking lot, but when it snows, inevitably it will become slippery, please be careful walking in the parking lot. No smoking is allowed on the property inside or outside. If you need to smoke, feel free to go to the sidewalk next to the property.

You will have access to a shared hot tub. The hot tub is shared with one other unit. Hot Tub hours are between 7:30am-10pm. PLEASE NOTE, NO LOUD MUSIC AT HOT TUB AREA. QUIET HOURS FROM 7:30PM-10:00PM. NOT OBSERVING HOT TUB RULES WILL RESULT IN YOUR RESERVATION BEING CANCLED IMMEDIATELY WITH NO REFUND.

We are right on the main street of Leadville. Two Mile Hi brewery is right across the street. There is also a gas station across the street providing basic services. We love High Mountain Pies, they have amazing pizza and wings, Tennessee Pass Café has one of the best brussels sprouts in town, they also have some delicious burgers/sandwich. If you are a meat eater, check out Qincys, their bacon wrapped fillet mignon is on point....they also serve prime ribs on weekends. All these restaurants are less than 5 minutes walk away.

The Ski Haus is located close to Main Street, Leadville, a 12 minute walk or quick bike ride away. The house is surrounded in all directions by Colorado's tallest mountains and sunshine abounds everywhere you look!

Welcome to our basement apartment with a very open feel to it with lots of natural light! With a fully equipped kitchen, a full bath and sleeping space for six this apartment has everything you'll need for a weekend retreat in the mountains. Stainless steel appliances, wifi, flat screen tv, Netflix, and very comfortable beds are just some of the amenities.

Other things to note
This is a basement apartment and as the house was built in 1888 you will hear the upstairs tenants steps. We have provided ear plugs and sound machines to make the experience more enjoyable!

"Studio 508" is located in the heart of historic downtown Leadville. Surrounded by mountains in all directions the downtown echoes both the fortunes and struggles of a real Colorado mining town. Close to restaurants, unique local shops and of course the tallest peaks in Colorado.

Studio 508 has a very open feel to it. Vaulted ceilings give it an airy feel and only add to the charm of this mining town retreat. Breathtaking views directly to the west can be seen through the two large picture windows. There you'll find Colorado's two tallest peaks, Mt Elbert & Mt. Massive.

A fully equipped kitchen, full bath and extra sleeping in the loft, the studio has everything you'll need. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, flat screen tv, blue ray player, Netflix and in-floor heating are just some of the amenities.

Original wood floors with soft plush rugs, the space is completely relaxing! At the same time you're just steps away from Leadville's most popular Coffee and Espresso house. The smell of baked goods will surely drift through the air as you walk down the stairs for your morning cup of coffee.

The space
2 story townhome. Living room, kitchen and 1/2 bath on main level. The second story has 2 bedrooms.
The primary has a Purple brand king bed and the second bedroom has queen bunk beds. Both bedrooms have 5' by 17' balconies. The front has an amazing view of Mt Massive. The full bath and laundry are also on the second floor. The entire place was remodeled in August 2024.

The Leadville Bunkhouse is a charming and spacious apartment situated above the most popular coffee shop in Leadville, City on a Hill. Located in historic downtown Leadville, built in the late 1800's, some contend this is Colorado's last frontier town. The boom days of silver mining have certainly left there mark. Today Victorian brick buildings painted a kaleidoscope of colors line the downtown's Harrison Avenue.
