Summary:
CampStargazer is centrally located between Grand Junction / Montrose & the Paiona/Hotchkiss/Crawford area of the Western Slope.
Our camping tentsite is located on a secluded part of the 130 acre Stargazer Ranch in Delta Colorado. Just 7 miles from town yet has zero light pollution allowing for amazing epic views of the night sky. The site offers stunning views of the San Juan mountains to the South and the Grand Mesa to the North. Behind you and bordering the property is the Gunnison George / Black Canyon with miles of trails for hiking, biking, ATV'ing, dirt biking and horseback riding.

The Grand Mesa has over 300 lakes to explore and you are only 30 minutes away from some amazing wineries and quaint small town shoping.

*** Unfortunately no pets at this time. While we LOVE all animals we have 3 dogs that "Free Range" guard the property. They are all great with people, and the farm animals, however not so great with other dogs. ***

The Space:
Secluded Campsite with Epic Sunsets, views of the surrounding areas and Stunning Stargazing!

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). - "We had a great time at Stargazer! Sean and Vicki were welcoming and helpful, and we enjoyed meeting them and their animals! The site felt like we had the hills to ourselves. Everything we needed for a fun, easy camping experience was provided. We opted to have Sean and Vicki set up the tent and they set everything up so that all we needed to do was unroll the sleeping bags we brought to accommodate our party of 5 (our sons especially appreciated the full size pillows!). The bed in the platform text was comfy. We chose the location because we wanted to visit the north and south rims of Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, and the location was great for that. Given that we visited In July, the campsite was hot during the day, but we were at the National Park each day, and the temps dropped in the evenings making for good sleeping weather. We also took a little time to explore the “badlands” at the foot of Grand Mesa. We would recommend staying at Stargazer!"

RV campsite. 50 amp power, septic sewer, water and very nice firepit area. Mountain lot nestled in the Aspens with beautiful scenery and privacy. Easy access for larger RV's. Home Owners Association rules must be followed. Located in Arrowhead Ranch, Cimarron Colorado. 100 miles of OHV riding trails accessed from the lot.

Our 45 acre, COMPLETELY SMOKE/PET FREE, Ranch sits at 7,500 ft. above sea level in the Rocky Mountains, 30 minutes’ drive from Montrose, Colorado. We offer panoramic views of the San Juan Mountains, 2 million acres of magnificent national + state forest + BLM land within walking distance so activities like trial bike / horse back riding, fishing, hunting, white water rafting etc. are available! USA's best ski resort, "Telluride" is within 90 mins drive. Locals call this area "Paradise! "

Our COMPLETELY SMOKE FREE secluded and remote campsite offers 1 new 12ft X 20ft wooden level platform on which you pitch your own tent for $45 per night. It includes 1 table, 2 or more complimentary chairs, fire ring and free firewood for up to 2 nights. We suggest you bring liquid firelighter and paper to start your fire. Thereafter, firewood is $1 per log for which you pay me cash on arrival because Vrbo does not provide this option. You’ll probably need around 9 logs per night.

You may have up to 3 tents on 1 platform. We have a limit of 6 people
( including babies and children ) on 1 platform due to weight restrictions. However, after the 2nd person in any tent or platform on our Ranch, we request a $10 donation per 4yrs old and over person, per night. You may donate with cash on arrival because Vrbo does not provide for this option. This covers the extra peoples’ use of our amenities such as shower and toilet etc.

All accommodation includes your shared use of a 20ft bathroom facility, located approximately 300ft from your platform, which has 1 toilet, 2 showers and 3 hand sinks with running hot and cold water. A separately located compost toilet is also provided within approximately 60ft from your platform. Please refer to pictures.

No power, WIFI or bedding is supplied. You can access the internet on our Ranch via your personal hotspot. Verizon provides the best phone connection. Other providers are unreliable.

Horse petting any of our 11 horses is available by appointment.

National / State forest and BLM land surround our ranch… I trailered 10 mins to a trail head yesterday and enjoyed a 3 hour horseback ride with spectacular views.

Wildlife you may see or hear includes deer, elk, coyote, chipmunks and eagles. Although it is unlikely you will encounter a bear or cougar, we recommend you bring bear spray.

Get a taste of Airstream life in a convenient downtown location. Full-sized bed with brand new bathroom located in main house.

The space
The Airstream is bright and airy with plenty of windows. There is an AC in the summer and two space heaters during chillier months. It features a full-sized bed, kitchen sink and fridge, sofa, and a table / work space with a record player. The kitchen comes stocked with coffee and tea.

There is no working bathroom in the Airstream. Guests will use 3/4 bathroom which can be accessed through the back door of the main house. We do not use this restroom while we have guests, ensuring you have plenty of privacy.

*SUMMER GLAMPING: Temperatures get very high in Montrose from June - September. The Airstream comes equipped with a window AC unit in the bedroom area, and we also have two fans to help disperse cool air throughout the Airstream. However, afternoons (3pm-6pm) can get toasty in the Airstream. If you’re sensitive to the heat, or plan on staying in the accommodation all day, you may find that this is not the best fit for you.

* WINTER GLAMPING: There is NO running water in the Airstream November - April (weather dependent so it could be October - May in some cases). Please keep in mind that the winter temperatures in Colorado are very chilly! We've got you covered with an electric heater and electric blanket to keep you toasty and a generous supply of extra blankets to snuggle up with. So, come prepared for an adventure in the elements, and we'll ensure you have a comfortable stay no matter what nature has in store. (Please note that night trips to the bathroom may get chilly as your private bathroom is located in the house.) We do offer an outdoor fire pit if you would like to bring your own wood.

Guest access
Guests have their own on site parking space in the driveway, along with ample street parking. The Airstream shares an outdoor space with the main house, but the yard is large and there is plenty of space to spread out.

There is NO bathroom in the Airstream. The bathroom for guests is located inside the house (but shut off from the main living area) and we do not use it when we have guests.

Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE: Staying in an Airstream is a unique experience (and better in almost all ways than a hotel room in our humble opinion!) but it is a 50-year old travel trailer, which means it has a few quirks. We like to think this is part of the charm! The Airstream has very thin walls and single paned windows, so be sure to check the forecast before your visit. If the forecast is calling for cold weather, please consider bringing some extra clothing. Conversely, if it's 90+ degrees out during the summer day, it's likely going to be warm in your trailer but it should be able to cool off fairly quickly once the sun sets. There is a window AC unit in the summer to help keep the trailer cool. It’s also worth keeping in mind that this is an RV, as such it’s not sealed like a house and sometimes some bugs and dust may make it inside. We thoroughly clean between every guest but keep in mind this is ‘glamping’ and doesn’t have all the comforts of a house. If you’re an adventurous soul you’ll be a perfect fit!

Outside, you'll find a lovely seating area, offering ample space to relax, work, read, or meditate.

Beyond the patio, you'll discover our delightful goat farm, home to our friendly residents: a lovely group of goats, a few cats, and my two beloved Great Pyrenees, Theo and Fiona. While these gentle giants are welcoming, they also serve as working dogs and will bark if they sense a potential threat, such as a fox or coyote.

You are welcome to interact with the goats, but please avoid entering their enclosure.

Additionally, we are conveniently located across the road from Quotori Wine, our family-owned business.

Please respect private property signs and stay within or close to the perimeter of the camper and pad.

Do not go inside the gates and fencing of the goat barn.
But do enjoy the back patio, the grill, and the beautiful mountain views.
