The Neighborhood:
Valentinswerder is a real island that can only be reached by boat or ferry. It is about 20 minutes by car to the city. There are no cars on the island itself and no direct shopping facilities. Most of the residents are only there at weekends. The houseboat is located approx. 150 m from the ferry dock. A trolley is available at the ferry terminal for luggage. You can park for free in Friederikestrasse in Tegelort, approx. 150 m from the ferry.

Getting Around:
The vibe of the city of Berlin can be felt all around the island. It has something to suit every taste and preference. You can get into the city via the mainland jetty Tegelort Bus 222 and also via the mainland jetty Havelspitze Bus M36 from Hugo-Cassirer-Str. Day trips to Potsdam, Babelsberg and the Pfaueninsel are also recommended. In the immediate vicinity of the island, a detour to Tegel is recommended. There you can take a round trip across the Oberhavel.

Guests are allowed to use the bathroom, toilet, kitchen and living room next to their sleeping area in the house.
The kitchen appliances and the gas stove can also be used after consultation and instruction.

Other things to note
Since we also use the oekogekko for activities in the house, other people can stay in the common areas, especially on weekends.

We restore a historic Güterschleppkahn and temporarily offer our room with beautiful water views in the heart of Berlin. Some construction work is still taking place on the boat. Toilet (dry toilet) and kitchen are shared. So far, all guests have been delighted with the extraordinary location, life on the boat and the central location. From the anchorage of the boat on Rummelsburg Bay, you can quickly and easily reach the shore by pedal boat and Ostkreuz train station is only a 10-minute walk from there.

With a size of 13.5 x 4.5 m, it offers plenty of space and from the roof terrace you have a great view of the Rummelsburg Bay.

You don't need any proven boating experience. After a detailed briefing on theory and practice and a successful test drive, you can operate the boat. Traffic rules, traffic signs and rules of conduct when anchoring and locking are included in the on-board folder. You will receive a charter certificate from us after the briefing. The instruction and handover of the charter certificate costs a one-time fee of €69.00. In the event of another charter in the calendar year, this fee is waived. Recommendation: Download and test the SFB Binnen app.

Our houseboats can be driven without a license. The minimum age for control is 16 years, provided the person is physically, professionally and mentally suitable. The skipper or charterer must be at least 18 years old and must be on board, as he is liable for the person who controls the houseboat. Please note - the ship's management is prohibited at a blood alcohol limit of > 0.50!

The boat is handed over with a full tank and the return should also be with a full tank.

When taking over the boat, a deposit of €500 in cash must be paid.
