- "The overall experience at the hotel was very nice. The hallway to the elevators has a strong chlorine smell because the pool is right as you enter. The Fitness room is very small, but there is equipment you can use regardless. The breakfast is not very good. The options are limited and it is spaced out a bit. For example, one bar had the cereals, breads, and warm breakfast food. Across the room behind some tables is the waffle iron and on the other side of the room is the coffee. Overall it was a nice stay. it was clean, quiet, and we didn't have any problems."

- "We had a unique situation. We drove in for a tournament but in the evening my son got sick. In the morning I explained to the man at the front desk and he was only concerned about us. Is my son ok? Do we need anything? Do we need any help? He never worried about the room. Of course the room was fine but under the circumstances he had no idea. He helped us check out early and made sure we had plenty of bags for the road. They were needed. Yuck. Great service is caring about the things really matter. Thank you. "

We've renovated our basement to be a cozy, separate guest suite with everything you need for a beautiful stay in Kentucky. With a full kitchen and a private patio, you'll enjoy your time in your private space as much as you'll enjoy all the excitement Louisville has to offer. From horse racing to bourbon trail and delicious local city eats, Louisville has something for everyone!

We do have kids and 2 small dogs but our house is overall, pretty quiet and pups are tucked away upstairs when we have visitors :)

P.S. Our dogs are not allowed in the guest suite.
P.P.S. If you have read past guest reviews that mention our chickens; turns out, city life was not for them so they have moved to a farm in the country and are no longer a feature on our property.

- "Nice enough snug space and owners, clean, modern, etc but feel they’re are some key critiques to note: this is a recent Vrbo listing that has been previously and still is listed with a competing rental svc, where there is important info in the overview that is not included on Vrbo, and which we didn’t happen to come across before booking. Specifically, it is in the basement of a family with kids and pets, all of which you have a good chance of hearing move across the floor at any given time. The Vrbo listing only has a somewhat vague/ambiguous and indirect reference to this buried in the Damage and Incidentals section if you expand to “see more.,” which states “This is a family home and we have neighbors.” There’s one modest window at ground level in main living space, but not much light to be gained from it. The kitchen seemed minimalist in some ways and could use a few more things, eg a dish cloth(s), a long handled dish brush that works in deeper items like glasses, cups etc, more than one hot pad to get large, heavy, hot dishes out of oven, more than one drying towel, options for smaller pot and pans. The cutting board looked to be marble or ceramic rather than wood or plastic. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever not had sugar, and often butter, at any of dozens of rentals. The response upon inquiry for sugar was that it isn’t something they provide. (they do live upstairs…) Lastly, the two total bed pillows were a little thick and slightly uncomfortable for both of us, but they had no alternatives."

- "Nice place " - "The place was clean. And the host is very quick to respond. All the appliances worked and were in good condition. The decor was very appealing, nice calming/soothing colors. They provide a lot of hangers in the closets. I had to go buy paper towels, toilet paper, & salt & pepper, which have normally been provided in other VRBO places I’ve rented. There are no dressers or chest of drawers in the bedrooms. Maybe if you’re just staying for a night, it’s not so bad, but ours was a 4 night stay and we had to rummage through our bags everyday. Also, if you have asthma or allergies to smoke…and it’s not the VRBO owners fault…but the guy that lives downstairs smokes cigars on his porch and the smoke gets stuck in the stairs/hallway going into the condo. I’m asthmatic, so this was a problem for me. Also, if you’re going to use the pool, I’d suggest bringing your own towels. The towels here are sparse and they only have one kitchen towel. Other than that, it was a nice place. The cigar smoking fellow on the bottom level was very friendly. Loved the surroundings, lots of people walking their pooches. And the hot water is to die for! But be careful with it. If you turn the knob all the way it will scald you…but that’s my favorite kind of hot water."

- "Checking in the credit card they used didn’t work and I was asked to pay myself after I had already paid. I messaged through vrbo…which came up leavetown instead of vrbo…. But they called the front desk and it was straightened out. It was difficult to be put in that position at the end of a long drive. I would recommend contacting the property directly. It was a great stay with comfortable beds, outdoor pool, fridge, dishwasher, stove and kitchenette supplies. I would stay again."

- "We checked in Saturday and Sunday we were woke up early to a dripping sound near the AC unit. It sounded like it was the gutter leaking on to the AC unit outside. Inspected the area and it looked like there was water coming in from the curtain. Overall nice place though. Hotel manager let some people walk around without shoes in the breakfast area even though he told them they couldn’t. Not sure how he could’ve handled it but the guest didn’t listen."
