The Fitness room is very small, but there is equipment you can use regardless. The breakfast is not very good. The options are limited and it is spaced out a bit. We've renovated our basement to be a cozy, separate guest suite with everything you need for a beautiful stay in Kentucky. With a full kitchen and a private patio, you'll enjoy your time in your private space as much as you'll enjoy all the excitement Louisville has to offer. From horse racing to bourbon trail and delicious local city eats, Louisville has something for everyone!

We do have kids and 2 small dogs but our house is overall, pretty quiet and pups are tucked away upstairs when we have visitors :)

P.S. Our dogs are not allowed in the guest suite.
P.P.S. If you have read past guest reviews that mention our chickens; turns out, city life was not for them so they have moved to a farm in the country and are no longer a feature on our property.

- "Nice enough snug space and owners, clean, modern, etc but feel they’re are some key critiques to note: this is a recent Vrbo listing that has been previously and still is listed with a competing rental svc, where there is important info in the overview that is not included on Vrbo, and which we didn’t happen to come across before booking. Specifically, it is in the basement of a family with kids and pets, all of which you have a good chance of hearing move across the floor at any given time. The Vrbo listing only has a somewhat vague/ambiguous and indirect reference to this buried in the Damage and Incidentals section if you expand to “see more.,” which states “This is a family home and we have neighbors.” There’s one modest window at ground level in main living space, but not much light to be gained from it. The kitchen seemed minimalist in some ways and could use a few more things, eg a dish cloth(s), a long handled dish brush that works in deeper items like glasses, cups etc, more than one hot pad to get large, heavy, hot dishes out of oven, more than one drying towel, options for smaller pot and pans. The cutting board looked to be marble or ceramic rather than wood or plastic. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever not had sugar, and often butter, at any of dozens of rentals. The response upon inquiry for sugar was that it isn’t something they provide. (they do live upstairs…) Lastly, the two total bed pillows were a little thick and slightly uncomfortable for both of us, but they had no alternatives."

Everything you need is within a 10 to 15 minute walk in the neighborhood, including the YMCA. If you leave the neighborhood, there is major outdoor shopping center, Costco, Target, Walmart, Kroger, Walgreens, restaurants and hospitals within a 10 to 15 minute drive.

AGE REQUIREMENT: Reserving guest must be at least 25 years of age and must be present during the entire rental period. No third-party bookings allowed. A photo of government IDs required for each registered adult and must be provided within 72 hours of booking.

We have a beautiful 1 ½ story 5 bedroom 4 ½ bath, 5000 sq. ft. home. Our main level great room has cathedral ceilings, beautifully decorated with flat screen TV, surround sound stereo system, gas fire place and view of the golf course. Our dining room seats 8-10. The kitchen has high end GE appliances with gas cooktop, double ovens, granite counter tops, bar area with a refreshment/wine cooler. The kitchen table seats 8 with additional seating at the counter. Off the kitchen is a screened porch overlooking Glen Oaks Golf course, with beautiful furniture, full size couch, dining table, TV.
A deck is off the porch with a gas grill and an umbrella table. Our master bedroom has a king size bed, and a flat screen TV. There is a master bath with double vanity, Jacuzzi tub, ceramic shower with seat, TV and walk in closet. We have a first floor laundry with full size appliances for your use. The second floor has 3 well decorated bedrooms with 1 king, 1 queen and 1 double, 1 “jack and jill” full bath and 1 private bath. All the bedrooms have a TV. Our lower level has a large family room with 50 inch flat screen HD TV, a bar, a game room with ping-pong, and a walk out patio with table and chairs and a hot tub under roof. The 5th bedroom is on the lower level with a king size bed, TV, and a full bath.

The location of our home is in a prestigious neighborhhood in The Estates of Glen Oaks in Louisville’s east end. We are 18 miles to Churchill Downs and 15 miles to Valhalla Golf Course (per interstate). There are “fine-dining” restaurants within 5 min, or a walking community with restaurants in nearby Norton Commons. Downtown Louisville is a 20 minute drive to Fourth Street Live, or the NULU district where there are numerous restaurants and night life where you can take in a carriage ride around town, visit the bat museum, or the Belle of Louisville steam boat. Louisville is a beautiful city to visit for the Derby, Breeders Cup, PGA Golf Tournaments or anytime.

- "We needed a place to stay for 1.5 weeks. This was a great choice. It was clean, had an excellent location, allowed pets, and was very comfortable.
