Black Bear LodgeSpend your days either fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hiking, or trail riding and your nights by a cozy fire or in relaxing Hot Tub. This amazing log home offers a king sized bed in the loft, queen bed in the main floor bedroom, a king bed down stairs with a pull out queen sleeper sofa. There is a large deck with a gas grill for entertaining. If your looking for a night in, there is a large selection of DVDs, a Wii for the kids and lots of board games (for kids and adults!)
The indoor fireplace is not available for guest use. The garage is not available for guest use and there are two locked owners closets in the home.
The hot tub is open all year round. We provide beach towels and flip flops for the hot tub. We also provide all bed linens and bath towels. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all cooking utensils, seasonings, oils and paper towel. There is a regular coffee pot and a Keurig. We provide Folgers coffee and a variety of K cups as well as cream and sugar. There is a dishwasher with detergent. In the bathrooms we provide toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. For your entertainment, we have lots of games for all ages, regular playing cards, giant Uno and Checkers. There is a Wii with multiple games and DVDs. We have Roku smart televisions. Star Link is oir internet provider, and we have installed a cell booster.
Outside, there is corn hole, a fire pit down by the river and seating both on the deck and below the deck. There is a washer and dryer and there will be one tide pod for each night booked.
The city of Baldwin is about 10 minutes from the cabin. They have a couple grocery stores, a Dollar General, Family dollar and quite a few mom and pops restaurants and several bars. There are also a couple of ice cream shops.Please be aware that this is a cabin in the woods. You will encounter bugs and wildlife. We do provide mosquito spray.Guests have access to the home and Hot Tub.
The garage is always locked. The hot tub is open year round.You can call anytime or text.
This beautiful home is on a quiet dirt road in a private setting. There are 350 acres of state land across from the it and hundreds more just down the street. It is close to Hiking Trails, ATV trails, Fishing, Canoeing, Kayaking, but still close enough to town.

The welcoming living room has a cobblestone fireplace with a wood stove insert and the room is open to the cozy kitchen and dining area. A modern propane gas stove, microwave and refrigerator give you the conveniences of home. Coffee and microwave popcorn is waiting for you. The kitchen is equipped with plates, cups, utensils, cookware and a number of small appliances(coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, toaster oven, electric griddle, electric fry pan)

The master bedroom has a queen bed and it’s own bathroom with a shower. A small table and two chairs in this room make a nice spot to enjoy your morning coffee.

The second bedroom has 2 bunk beds. The bottom beds each sleep 2 people on full size mattresses and both have a twin size top bunk. (This room can sleep 6). A small table and chairs are also in this bedroom—anyone for a game of checkers?

There is a long enclosed porch which is ideal for relaxing, giving you a place to chill out when you’ve had too much sun or want to listen to the breezes on a rainy day.

The wooded lot has a great fire pit and chairs to make every night cozy. Use the gas grill to make burgers the whole family will enjoy as they share a meal around the party size wooden picnic table.

There is room to park your boat or snowmobile trailer as well as your car or truck.

Private access to gorgeous 400 acre all sports Wolf Lake is right across the street. You can sit at the kitchen table and view the lake. This lake is shallow for a distance, making it ideal for supervised play for your younger children. The public boat launching area is directly adjacent to the property’s lake access. A second fire pit is also on this access area.

Due to the rustic nature of this cabin, we would advise packing slippers and warm cozy pajamas , as it will feel very cold if you are not prepared for it during the winter months.

- "We had a wonderful weekend at the cabin. The cabin was spotless, the lake was perfect for my 3 year old and 11 month old to splash around in, very shallow and clean. My 3 year old loved fishing from shore. He was able to catch and release a lot of small fish which made his entire weekend. The only thing I would have to recommend is providing plug-in fans since there is no AC. I read the reviews prior to booking and was worried about the heat, especially at night. We ended up bringing two fans which we used the first night, because it was 88° that day, but the rest of the nights were cool and I wish we wouldn’t have had to waste precious cargo space . Other than that, excellent stay."

A beautiful log home built in 2007 with all of the amenities you'd want nestled just below the flies only stretch of the Pere Marquette River between Gleason's Landing and Bowman's Bridge. Two full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. A full kitchen and gorgeous view of the river. A great home base when you are out fishing, hiking, floating the river, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, sightseeing or just relaxing in the hammock by the river. Stairs down to the river. You can fish right off the banks. An hour and 15 minutes from Grand Rapids, 40 minutes to Ludington.

The lake is near the Manistee National Forest, with great trails for ATVs or Snowmobiles. Come enjoy this sweet 60 year old lady, Wolf Lake Betty. If you treat her kindly, she'll show you a wonderful time. Wolf Lake Betty's right on the water, which provides beautiful sunsets by the fire pit.

Pretend you are visiting your elderly relative who makes cookies and tea when you arrive. Her septic system is delicate, so please be mindful of this sweet old lady who's a little creaky but friendly.

The two bedrooms have great queen beds. One bathroom serves as a powder room for the "lake room," as well as the bathroom for the primary bedroom. The second bedroom has a bathroom across the hall. There is also a full bed in the den, and there is a laundry room. There is a sleeper sofa, best for kids as adults won't find it very comfortable. There is a fully equipped kitchen for cooking and baking, including a Kitchen Aid, toaster, coffee maker, Crock Pot, cookie sheet pans, and all the cooking utensils you'll need! Nearby caretakers can provide firewood or, in summer, a boat ride around the lake for a small fee. There are games and books, a TV and DVD player, and minimal cable/internet. Internet can be sketchy in inclement weather or if many are all using at once.

It is a great location for the wife and kids, especially if the wife has a dislike for the typical "cabin" the guys are used to staying in for the weekend salmon fishing trip. There are things I would definitely change about the property but that is personal preference. The yurt is laid out nicely with little privacy but more than a hotel room. The Kitchen has everything you need with many minor details included (zip lock bags, spice rack, coffee, etc.). The bathroom is very nicely finished but is a bit of a walk away from the yurt, not too far but enough that in the rain it is an imposition. Again, very CLEAN. I did not feel that I needed dollar store flip flops in order to shower. The setting is very quiet with the exception of the neighbors rooster who lets you know that 6:30 a.m. has arrived yet again. In short it was a perfect adventure. One that the wife and our kids hope to make a yearly memory if not more frequently. So anyone reading this, please go elsewhere so you don't make it more difficult for me... LOL, but seriously"

This recently remodeled two bedroom home is the perfect location for all of your Baldwin adventures. It is located just a few miles from the famous flys only section of the Pere Marquette river. It has a brand new kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms and a spacious back deck. It is a half hour from the beaches in Ludington. There are multiple ORV trails to explore in the area as well.
