(Pro tip: Oh Brothers restaurant looks like a bar from the outside, but has GREAT food and was family-friendly!)"

- "It is a beautiful setting especially back patio, everything needed is provided. Peaceful property and short walk to the beach which is not crowded. One main improvement would be to add central air or at minimum a second window air conditioner in the 2nd bedroom. Sleep was interrupted due to the room being too hot. Master bed room is ok as it has a small window air conditioner. But not having the 2nd bedroom cool enough on hot days would deter us from returning most likely. Everything else was wonderful."

White Lake’s warmer, calmer waters for water sports like skiing, tubing, fishing, and swimming.
And Lake Michigan’s immense waters & wonderful beaches with soft sand and waves –
5 miles away via boat (via channel access with its great view of the White River Light Station & Museum)
and car (convenient parking is available at Duck Lake State Park Beach, where you can enjoy Duck Lake, the warm, shallow waters of the channel – a big hit with the kids- and the “big lake”).

The house will be stocked with some starter supplies such as coffee, filters, sugar, salt, spices, paper goods (towels, tissues, toilet), soap (hand, dish, dishwasher, laundry), garbage bags, propane, roasting sticks, and firewood.

Food, beverages, and extra supplies needed can be purchased nearby. The sister cities of Whitehall and Montague are only a couple of miles away. Montague Foods has a large selection of high quality groceries, beer, and wine. Check out the World’s Largest Weathervane before going in! Also take advantage of the Farmers Market (and Artisan Market) across the street on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

When it’s time to eat, you will find everything you need to prepare meals for 12 and serve meals for 24 (who wants to do dishes every day on vacation?), or to call for takeout or delivery (menus from local restaurants are at the house).

There are many special events throughout the year, such as the Cruz’In Classic Car Show, the Arts and Crafts Festival, and the Wine and Jazz Festival. Montague and Whitehall boast a handful of excellent craft beer, wine, and spirits makers.

This home is a stone’s throw from the Montague side of channel (you can see the channel from the house) & also Lake Michigan. We especially loved the upper deck to watch the boats. While you can’t see Lake Michigan from the property, it’s a 2 minute walk to the beach. The location is superb for watching the channel activities, enjoying the deer in the woods behind & to the north of the home, and walking to the beach for sunsets. Every thing we needed was there-we used the kayaks and that was a great activity as you just put in at the boat ramp 60 seconds away. We really appreciated the superb Wi-Fi in this home. We had no issues with streaming, video calls, and quick on line access. While our cellular service was not great anywhere in the area, the Wi-Fi at the house was fantastic. In fact, there are two networks in the home that you can connect to & we were able to “work from home” and enjoy the views out the large kitchen windows and open concept of the upper floor. The pictures on the listing are 100% accurate of the home. We thoroughly enjoyed our nine nights, and if we are able to return to Montague next summer, will be rebooking this property because of its location, views of the water, beautiful decor, open concept layout, strong Wi-Fi, and all the comforts of a lake/beach home."

Zero regrets. First night was the clearest we have ever seen and my daughter and I watched meteor showers for hours. Beautiful weather all week led to a ton of great lake time. Close proximity to an amazing little town. Having access to two Kayaks was a welcome surprise as my older daughter taught our youngest son how to use them. He’s a natural! Anything you might need is in the house. Tons of bath and beach towels. Beach chairs. Boogie boards. Kids life jackets. Tons of books and games. Did i mentions the views? 2 out of the 3 bedrooms have amazing views and the house faces towards the sunsets. Host Kristina was very responsive and extremely helpful. I see some complaints about the driveway. It really is not bad. We had a chevy malibu get up and down no problem and being able to pull up right to the door to unpack and pack was awesome. When you see the other houses in this area with a giant stairway to heaven, you will truly appreciate the driveway. We just might need to stay here again in the future!"

If you are fortunate enough you might be able to walk to the farm stand and grab fresh farm eggs or organic vegetables.

There is 700 sq. ft. of TREX decking overlooking Lake Michigan with lounge chairs to lay out, an under deck with new sitting areas to enjoy the views in the shade watch the gorgeous sunsets. Lake Michigan sunsets are a work of art that you don't want to miss. There are stairs to the beach and a large beach to thoroughly enjoy the lake!! There are 2 kayaks to use along with two paddle boards. Just bring your own life jackets and you are ready to coast the shoreline. The private beach is around 125 feet with Adirondack chairs and beach towels to enjoy the sunshine. We also have an outdoor shower with hot and cold water to rinse off after the beach.

Roosevelt Cottage has 5 large bedrooms (Sleeps 12), with direct views of the lake. The Main floor King bedroom with windows looking out to Lake Michigan and a patio door. Its a great spot to venture onto the deck and enjoy your beverage of choice. You might even spot a bald eagle flying by.

The cottage has 4 full bathrooms 2 on the main floor, 1 upstairs, and 1 downstairs. Other features include a spacious kitchen (all new including appliances) and dining area, living area with large picture windows with a lake view. Bring groceries to prepare in our fully stocked kitchen or venture out to eat at one of the many restaurants and open-air bars in Montague, Whitehall, Mears, Silver Lake, Hart, Pentwater, or Ludington. The Dining area accommodates 8 people at the table and 2-4 at the kitchen counter. A perfect spot to spend time with loved ones, spend a honeymoon, or just rest and recharge.

Each bedroom has their own Smart TV. We have large Smart TV's in the living areas for the rainy day movies. There are lots of games and books to keep you busy on the cloudy days.

We have a fire pit just off the deck and a Sonos speaker system to play your own music! Local wood stands around the area with a short distance from the cottage. This Lake Michigan house is perfect for a family vacation. Located on a dune on Lake Michigan just one mile north of White Lake, the setting and views are incredible.

Our home has a renovated kitchen and renovated main bath, We have 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The entry level has two bedrooms and a full bath. One of these bedrooms has a queen bed and a double bed. The other has two bunk beds: (1) an ex long twin over queen and (2) full over full beds. The washer and dryer are also on the entry level. The main floor is an open concept area with modern kitchen, dining area, living room and den. This level has the master bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath. There is also a pull out queen sofa a bed in the den. A loft (accessible via a spiral staircase) offers great views; a nice area to read a good book or play a game.

Full amenities inside include all the normal appliances: refrigerator, stove/ oven, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer, air conditioning, on demand hot water, cable TV, and Wi-Fi internet access. There is also a separate beverage cooler. A full house generator ensures you will always have power.

The home is in a quiet area that you enter through a well maintained wooded drive from the east. There is only one neighbor to the south, a large grass/wooded dune is to the north, and beautiful Lake Michigan to the west. The outside area is equipped to enjoy Lake Michigan. There is a fire pit on the back-side (wooded side) of property with Adirondack chairs. There is a good size deck on the front side of the cottage with Weber Genesis II three burner gas grill and outside eating space. There is also a bluff deck that is a few steps from the house that sits on the precipice of the dune with seating and panoramic views of Lake Michigan. Finally, the beach offers 110 ft of private frontage. Getting to the beach takes about 100 steps down the stairs to the waterfront, so make sure to take some water, soda, or an adult beverage with you. Beach chairs and toys are stored in unit at the waterfront.

Be on the lookout for dear, turkeys, bald eagles, pileated woodpeckers... and other wild life that will delight you.

For our family and friends, we'd start the morning with coffee on the upper deck while the sun rose over our backs. As the sun climbed, we'd head down to the beach with our coolers and snacks for an afternoon on the shore. Later in the day, we'd gather at the "cottage deck" for appetizers and dinner. Then we'd head back to the upper deck to watch the sun set... nothing else like it on earth. The evening concluded with a bonfire and of course S'mores.

Rain can't even dampen the mood with plenty of puzzles, games, or movies to keep the family happy.

Beyond the house, Old Channel Trail Golf Course is a mile to the North and the Old Channel Inn (lunch/dinner) is a mile south. White Hall & Montague are a 15 minute drive for more restaurants, movies or other activities. Silver Lake (Sand Dune rides, etc) is about 30 minutes north. Further north are Pentwater or Ludington or South to Muskegon or Grand Haven for more adventures. (25/35 minute drive).

Welcome to Good Times Cottage on Lake Michigan! Having just completed a 900sqft 2-story addition off the east side of the original house, this wonderful family home has went from good to GREAT! Good Times now has four beautiful bedrooms and three full bathrooms with a total of 1936sqft (Note: Sometimes there is confusion about the two different sidings but it is all one cohesive, private living space)

Located in a quiet country setting with Lake Michigan out the back door and farmland to the East. This cottage sits on a beautiful large lot with plenty of grass area, wildflowers, and trees. We also have a nice fire pit for you to use by the cottage.

Cross a natural ravine over a wooden footbridge to a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan. The well-built stairway with 70 steps to the beach with a gated spot towards the bottom where beach chairs are kept for your use. This is a wonderful cottage to enjoy sunsets, splash in the water, curl up with a good book, or explore all our area has to offer.

Enjoy mornings having breakfast on the deck before everyone gets in their bathing suits and heads down to the beach. Don't forget your provided beach towel! Swim in the fresh water, sunbathe, build a sand caslte, have a drink, and most importanly RELAX!

- "My extended family had an excellent stay at this house. The stairway to the beach is quite long, but worth it: beautiful sandy beach that we enjoyed multiple times per day. The house was immaculate and just like the pictures. I didn't love how we had to launder the towels, but it did save us from having to bring our own beach towels. Aside from the adjoining houses, the area feels quite secluded, but 15 minutes away is the town of Montague with a great supermarket, restaurants (cute old-fashioned soda fountain!), shops and nature trails. We also enjoyed the Lewis Adventure Farm & Zoo (18-ish minutes away) and the Little Sable Point Lighthouse (30 minutes away)."

This is the perfect family cottage that sleeps 14 no problem, and the house lives large - easily accommodating big families. Located at the end of a private cul-des-ac, sitting less than 15 steps from the water, and neighbored directly to the North by Minert Park and it's thousands of feet of undeveloped beach - you won't find a more private setting on Lake Michigan.

You also won't find a better place to sleep with the window cracked listening to the waves. The large deck has seating for 15+ with panoramic views that take a full morning coffee to appreciate.

We have a 7 night minimum and must be booked Monday to Monday. No RVs are permitted.

There are two other beach access points as well , where you can enjoy the beach, sand and the waves crashing on the pristine shoreline. The landscape of the Great Lake changes daily, to calm serene waters, to large waves and everything in between. If you enjoy walking on the beach, you can walk for miles. If you love sunsets, they are spectacular!

This clean and freshly sanitized home has plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to gather as a group, or places for solitude and recharging. The outdoor deck (with motorized shade awnings) can seat a large group comfortably with new and comfortable chairs and outdoor adjustable dining table. The beds are new and comfortable, as are most of the furnishings. We also provide beach towels, sand toys, boogie boards, sand wagon, chaise and beach chairs for your beach experience as well.

The beach is connected to Meinert Park and Flowers Creek Dune Nature Preserve. You can stroll on the shoreline, hike the wooded trails, or splash in Flower Creek.

There are many year round activities nearby (in addition to the beach) for every season. Double JJ Ranch, Michigan Adventures, Happy Mohawk Livery, Golf Course, Disk Golf, horseback riding, fishing off the pier at White Lake channel nearby and much more. Muskegon Sport Complex offers luge opportunities (even in summer), zip line, hiking scavenger hunt and more. This property is 60 minutes from Grand Rapids, 3 hours from Chicago, 40 minutes to Ludington, 2 hours to Sleeping Bear Dunes.

Watching at the beach is magical but enjoying it right on the deck while sipping your coffee is just as magical:) I kept telling my sister, it’s like it’s from a book! The beach cottage, little subdivision, the privacy, the friendliness, and most importantly the beautiful beach! We were not ready to leave and can’t wait to return. Everyone in our group with ages ranging from 4 to 70 had a great time. In addition to the excellent swimming and "sand-castling" there are kayaks available and great trails behind the house on the woods or up dunes with majestic views. The house was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The view from the deck was always being enjoyed by someone. Two TVs helped the kids relax after hours in the lake. The bedrooms were all comfortable. Check out the cute farm/artist market in town on Saturday mornings. After a long day hiking and beaching, come back to the house where your favorite music greets you on the whole house built in speaker system (indoor and out). For those with a caffeine fix, stop by the dedicated coffee bar, kitchen adjacent, or make a fresh latte on the Brevelle Barista express. After dinner, head out to the screened in porch and enjoy a lake Michigan sunset, or, if you can find the secret entrance, test your mixology skills and relax in a chesterfield in this modern take on a 1920's speakeasy complete with wet bar, ice maker, drink and wine fridge.

Later in the evening, head up to the top level for a rousing boardgame or round of poker. This level also boasts an enormous sectional, with seating for at least 10, for a show. This is no ordinary movie night, however, as your family immerses themselves in front of a 120" projection screen and state of the art surround system.

An extra 5 minutes will get you to west Michigan's only amusement park and wildwater adventure park where you can get your thrills on a rollercoaster or towering waterslide, or cool off in the wavepool.

- "Our family (6 adults and 2 young children) had a wonderful one-week vacation at the house! It is large, beautifully designed, extremely well-appointed, and very comfortable. There are lots of common spaces to gather together, but the bedrooms are well separated for privacy. The house also has a great setting, perched on a small forested hill overlooking the lake. The beach is lovely, very quiet and peaceful, with soft sand. Two amenities we especially enjoyed were the hot tub on the deck, and the giant wall TV and giant couch on the top floor of the house. Nate was very helpful and prompt when answering all of our questions, making the whole rental process easy and trouble-free. We all really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again in the near future!"

There are neighbors close by (but not too close) and they were all very friendly and accommodating. It feels secluded and peaceful while also being just a five minute drive from excellent restaurants, shopping and area attractions. The nearby towns are super cute with plenty to do and see. White lake was perfect for floating, kayaking, and fishing (lots of bass!). There is a bit of a walk down a trail to get to the beach, but we were able to manage it well. We loved the quick access to Lake Michigan for a fun day on the beach and the “big lake”. The owners are fantastic. Super thoughtful and kind. We had a couple of minor issues that they responded to and resolved right away. If you are considering booking the Hygge House, just do it! A little bit more expensive than other places we’ve stayed, but feel like it was really worth it due to the excellent location, lake access, amenities, and beautiful, well-designed home. We’ll be back!"

This home is a great location for a family vacation! Its private beach remains quiet as public access is over a mile away and it is next to a farm and golf course that do not have access, leaving an expansive quiet beach for you to enjoy with your family. The private beach is just 100 stairs down to the water from the house, there is a bench half way down if you need to rest! There are beach chairs for you to use at the beach along with an inflatable paddle board! The grill at the house is charcoal! This is a pet friendly home! (SMALL DOGS ONLY) There is no air conditioning in this property.

This home features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and bedroom 2 has two queen beds. This home is all main floor living with a large living room with view of Lake Michigan! The outdoor area at this home is great! It features a large yard, in ground trampoline, outdoor furniture and charcoal grill! The sunset views from the bluff are amazing. Barbecuing and watching the sunset makes for our favorite dinner location, but the Old Channel Inn right down the road is a close second. This home has an occupancy of 6 people maximum and is monitored closely.

The towns of Montague and White Hall are picturesque with small town charm offering many breweries, restaurants and shops to explore. The Band Shell Tuesday night concerts are always a good time. Michigan Adventure, Lewis Farms and the Double JJ Ranch (Indoor water park, back 40, golf course and restaurant) are all less than 20 minutes away. Just a little further is Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Old Channel Trail Golf course is a short walk down the road. This is a beautiful course that is typically not very busy. There is a boat launch to White Lake 1 mile down the road off of Lau. This is a great place to launch jet skis or a small watercraft.

- "The place was just as advertised. The views were amazing and sunset is breathtaking. We will go back for sure." - "We were looking for a pet friendly lake front property for a few days break before school started. It was quiet, peaceful and had a great view of Lake Michigan. The kitchen was well equipped and overall was clean and comfortable. After we booked we received the detailed pet agreement to sign. The listing said "pet friendly" without details. The agreement specified a size limit which our dog exceeded, and we were to pick up after our dog. We had to phone the property manager to clarify it was ok to have a larger dog. Upon arrival we found several dog droppings outside we cleaned up so we would not be charged. The property is showing signs of wear and tear with loose flooring, pet stained carpets, furniture scratches, and dented appliances, which is why I gave a 4 star rating.....good but not perfect. There is a nice sandy private beach, but it takes 111 steps to get there, which was in the listing. Overall, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet and relaxing. We would book again."

Tranquility located at the base of the property’s private sand dune...with acres of Lake Michigan shoreline. Out of the bedroom windows you can see the storybook staircase....it goes up, to the clouds it seems, until the stairs break and you see it...the shoreline... the woods... you breath, and conclude....you're right where your supposed to be! A restful place to retreat to and collect your thoughts. This cabin is what you would expect and you're hidden away in a clearing in the woods, combined with beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. Literally, in the mornings you can surprise the deer as you catch them eating from the apple trees only steps away.
It's mindfully decorated and welcomes you with ease. Two bedrooms and a pull out couch. It has all the modern amenities: fully stocked kitchen. A two burner stove, microwave, coffee pot, shower, air conditioning, heat. You’re able to retreat comfortably but also still feel like you're in a cabin tucked away in a special space.
The property is a condo association so there are other cabins near by, some of which may be occupied while you're there. (see Aerial photo) you have a private grill and seating area. You also can have really big bonfires with others enjoying the property!
