One of the few remaining vintage cottages on Rose Lake. Featuring fantastic views and a sandy beach. This updated (but still old-school) airy cottage is a great escape for rest and relaxation, or activity and adventure.

There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a full. The sofa in the living room converts to a full, and the loveseat on the porch has a pull-out twin.

Rose Lake is a 370 acre all-sports lake located in Osceola County. Travel times from Grand Rapids area are less than 1.5 hours, and Detroit area less than 3 hours. Conveniently located for day trips along Lake Michigan’s shoreline, sand dunes, Traverse City, Frankfort, and many other popular destinations.

I’ve added some driveway entrance sequence photo to the album, as finding the cottage can be tricky. Just look for the road marker and then make a left (U-turn) into the next driveway. Parking is at the back of the cottage at the top of the short stairway. There’s room for 2 vehicles on the grass parking area.

Welcome to Boggs' North Lodge! Roomy 3000 sq.ft. 4 bedroom/2 bath home overlooking beautiful, all- sports, Stoneledge Lake. Our family coulodn't be more excited to share this magnificent location with you. This is just the place for a large family, group, or couples wanting to get away together. Our home will sleep 12-15 comfortably.
Our open kitchen, dining & living area on the main floor features a gas log fireplace, a vaulted ceiling, and triple patio doors for, what has to be, the best view over the lake! The patio doors open to a large upper deck where you take in a Cadillac sunrise or watch the activity on the beach. To give ultimate comfort, and an 'Up North' lodge feeling, we have it furnished with rustic log furniture and a 51" plasma flat screen TV. To complete the home, we have also brought in La-Z-Boy sofas & recliners for your complete comfort.

Tasteful accents & decorations will compliment the furnishings, and meticulous housekeeping will make you feel right at home.

Our kitchen features beautiful oak cabinets-fully equipped with quality pots, pans, utensils & dishes. It includes a full size refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffemaker, and toaster. The counter-top bar will seat 3 and the dining table will seat 8-10.

Bedroom#1 has a king size log bed and a beautiful lake view with private HD flatscreen TV.
Bedroom #2 has a queen size log bed with a flatscreen TV.
Bedroom #3 has 2 twin size log bunks(sleeps 4) and also has a lake view.
Bedroom #4 has 1 full size log bunk (sleeps 4).

The lower level features a large, open recreation area. It has 2 large patio doors for 'walk out' convenience. The doors open to a huge lower patio (60 ft long) and to another beautiful lake view. The rec room furnishings include 3 log futons(with inner spring mattresses). A fourth TV, a pool table, and foosball & air hockey tables are located in the rec room as well.

Step out into the 1/2 acre manicured lawn that has 122ft of sandy beach front. The lake is shallow near the shore with a sandy bottom...great for swimming and watersports. Beach volleyball, cornhole and a campfire pit are available for guest use. Chaise loungers, lawn chairs, two picnic tables, a 6 person patio set, and a propane Weber BBQ grill are provided for your convenience.

If you are into fishing, you have come to the right lake! Bass, Pike, Perch, and Bluegill are plentiful. A rowboat comes with the rental.

We offer two kayaks, two stand up paddle boards and paddleboat for rent for your enjoyment on the lake.

We are literally minutes from the Fred Meijer Pine trail where your family can enjoy miles of walking, biking or snowmobiing. We are also a short walking distance from the groomed scenic conservacy trail that allows you to explore the areas around our lake.

Cadillac is minutes away from our home for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

- "This is a beautiful and special property. It is a gorgeous log cabin surrounded by a large lawn and a forest beyond. We had three generations of our family stay at Log Lodge. There was ample room for all of our group. The home is well-stocked with beds and seating. We enjoyed the porches overlooking the trees and trails in the backyard. The kitchen was well-equipped with all kinds of dishes, utensils and cookware. Each night we enjoyed a campfire in the fire pit area. The younger children spent a lot of time swinging on the wooden swing set. The teens played disc golf and frisbee. The cabin is located near Cadillac where we went to swim swim and play mini golf."

A family built log house by a shared private lake. Because of the size of the house we charge a 4 people base price, and $20 per person per night over that. We have a sandy beach area designated for the place and separated from a neighbor's sandy beach by a row of evergreens. Very relaxing place to bring your family and friends. Beautiful quiet setting to enjoy God's creation. Enjoy hearing the birds from your open window early in the morning, or the rooster crowing to announce the arrival of another day. Take a tour of the farm and garden for a relaxing stroll, or launch a canoe in the lake for a peaceful water adventure. If you enjoy visiting, we are happy to learn to know our vacationers, and spend some time answering questions or discussing the farm and garden, and more.

The walkout basement game room was created with fun in mind. We have 2 arcade games including Golden Tee and PacMan along with ping pong and not 1 but 2 TV's to make sure you are able to watch all the games.

Sit on our wrap around porch while you grill and enjoy the many birds and tranquil sounds of the river babbling below. With 16 acres around the cabin you are bound to see deer and turkeys roaming about. Best place to go star gazing is out at the fire pit while listing to the sounds of the woods surrounding you. Please be aware of current local fire restrictions during the summer months.

The Pine River is closed for fishing starting September 30 reopening the last Saturday in April. Guests must walk up a small flight of stairs to enter the house. We do not supply firewood.

Our cottage is centrally located between Traverse City, Grand Rapids, and Ludington (about 1 hour each), and only 25 minutes to Cadillac or Big Rapids. Enjoy the perfect mix of rural tranquility and convenient access to shops, restaurants, golf courses, and trails.

Guest Access:
You’ll enjoy exclusive access to the entire cottage and property during your stay — nothing shared. The second lot offers even more outdoor space, plus a large shed with kayaks, floats, and beach gear for your use. There is ample parking for multiple vehicles and trailers.

The Neighborhood:
Hogback Lake is a quiet, private all-sports lake surrounded by other lakes, rolling hills, woods, and farmland. You’ll often hear loons in the morning and watch eagles soar overhead. The community is friendly and respectful, making this a perfect escape from the city hustle.

Getting Around:
We have plenty of on-site parking. Feel free to bring bikes, mopeds, or golf carts — just please be mindful of lake residents and keep speeds low around the neighborhood.

Pet Policy:
We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs. A pet fee of $25/day per dog applies. The first dog is included in the pet fee when you book. If you are bringing a second dog, an additional $25/day will be billed separately. Please let us know in advance if you are bringing pets.

The host responds immediately to questions. Our main enjoyment, however, was how peaceful the surroundings are. It fit our need of a quiet place in the woods. Grocer and restaurants near-by. Be sure to download and bring a birdsong ID program. We are new to this but had fun with Cornell's Merlin app and identified 28 different species just from the back patio and front porch."

- "This property is the perfect place to disconnect and unwind (although we did have good internet service)! Communication before the stay was easy as was checking in. There was plenty of room for F150 & 16ft trailer parking. There are adorable cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, friendly cat, & 2 working farm dogs (trained/contained if this is a concern). Our son with Autism and 2 teens LOVED seeing and interacting with the animals. Host, Mr. Cook, took us all along to watch the evening feedings! The lodging space is large with room for the family to spread out. The Cooks are 3rd generation proprietors & some history is shared on the walls of the suite and gift shop. Breakfast was brought to the B&B suite and we ate on our porch, it was delicious! They have pork products, chicken, & jams for purchase-the bacon & strawberry rhubarb jam did not disappoint! If you are 100% bougie, this might not be the place for you. If there is even 10% that is outdoorsy, American Picker, vintage/nostalgic, animal lover, craftsman, adventurous….this is the perfect place to check out!"

- "There was a total of ten of us and the kitchen table only holds five people so we brought a sixfoot folding banquet table and used some chairs in the sunporch and it worked out fine. There was only ten plates so we did have to get inventive for finding serving platters for grilling and getting food on the table. All in all we had a lovely time and the outside furniture is all so comfortable and the Kayaks were a huge hit! Highly recommend this cottage. Our youngest 2, 4 7 and 9 and six adults and one dog. We were very comfortable and did not feel crowded."

Cozy country getaway nestled in the woods, one block away from Rose Lake, the largest lake in Osceola County. There is a boat ramp accessible to the lake. The cottage is at the end of a cul-de-sac with lots of privacy. The neighbor is available should you need anything. There are miles of hiking trails, horseback riding trails, bicycling on Rails to Trails, dirt biking and four-wheeling trails, snowmobiling trails, great hunting. This is truly an outdoor area with so much available for fun!

Owner was very quick to reply to any questions I had and gave good written instructions how to get there from a couple places . Based on my mom and aunts experience they were happy and recommend staying here ."

Our teens enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking while the adults relaxed!" - "We came up for the fall colors and got everything we could have possibly imagined. The home is wonderful with lots of room and views to make you swoon. The house sits on a high bluff overlooking the lake to the east. We saw great sunrises and, as it turned out, great full moon rises over the lake. Although we did not use the kayaks because it was cool weather, the lake front was easily accessible and inviting. The kitchen, baths, and bedrooms were well appointed, and the living room was comfy. The location was an easy drive to Cadillac and the Manistee River valley as well. We will be back."
