We are a custom built home designed by Maine archetect Caleb Johnson and are settled on a wooded lot which overlooks Biddeford Pool Marsh which is a Rachel Carson bird sanctuary. We are a 2 minute walk to the center of the Campus of the University of New England and a 7 minute walk to Hills Beach a secluded Maine beach . We are also just a 10 minute drive or a bike ride to Fortunes Rocks beach which offers two miles of sand and is known for its surfing. Biddeford Pool (3 miles) Kennebunkport (10 miles) Old Orchard beach (12 miles) and Portland (20 miles) are an easy drive.

Room offers one bedroom with en suite bathroom. We have a living room with potential to sleep several on a jumbo recliner couch and on 2 extra long twin beds. This is a completely private living room for our guests. There is a second full bathroom off the first floor hall and serves guests sleeping in the living room. We DO NOT have a full kitchen but do have a small refrigerator, microwave and toaster. Continental breakfast supplies are available in the living room. A hot tub, beach equipment, and robs are a few of the amenities that are included. We have strong WiFi. Hot tub is open in the winter but is a little more difficult to access In winter.

- "The property is a perfect spot with Biddeford Pool on the back side and the beach right across the street. Beautiful view from the deck especially when the sun goes down. A little too hot during the day when the sun is beating down. Would have been a lot better if there was some kind of table with umbrella on the deck. We had a problem with the refrigerator when we arrived but Sarah got to work on it right away and provided us with ice in the mean time. She even offered to reimburse us for some of our meats that were lost due to this, She was very easy to get a hold of and responsive. Overall the place was perfect for our vacation."

Hot air furnace heat for chilly nights. Kitchen equipped with oven, range, microwave, full sized as well as smaller "happy hour" fridge, keurig and drip coffee maker, lobster pot, and ocean views! Hand towels, paper towels, napkins, and hand soap provided. High chair, kid utensils and some toys provided. Pack n Play available upon request. Some beach chairs available. No washer/dryer or dishwasher.

This quaint property is easily accessible from I-95 and it is only 9 miles from historic Kennebunkport's shops and restaurants. Also in the area are the Audubon trails in Biddeford Pool, bike-friendly roads, and kayak rentals.

- "Fortune's Rocks Beach is a gorgeous 2 mile long sandy beach and from this house you can walk there in two minutes. When you sit on the large wrap around deck, you can see & hear the surf. This is beach living! The house is a bit dated but has all the necessities - and did I mention it is only a two minute walk to a gorgeous sand beach?!" - "We arrived on a beautiful day in Maine to an excellent location on Fortune’s Rocks. The cottage is bright and breezy and has the basic necessities. We were greeted by a welcome note of wine and blueberry jam. The views were just wonderful and we had a lovely week of weather. However, the cottage was in serious need of a deep clean as we encountered spider webs with dead bugs in every corner, mouse droppings and glue traps, and an odor of mothballs consistent throughout our stay. All fans and screens had dead bugs in them. Dirty pots and dishes had been stored in the cabinets as well. I have stayed in many “quaint” locations but non in so desperate need of a a cleaning and refurbishment. Cleaning a beach house on my first day of vacation is not the definition of relaxation. Perhaps those in the future will find a clean and breezy quintessential Maine cottage."
