Come spend your vacation on beautiful Lake Arrowhead, an 1100-acre lake located between Portland, Maine, and North Conway, NH, and only two hours north of Boston. Our cottage was built in 2010 on 1.5 acres of beautifully wooded land. It is sunny, cozy, has an open floor plan, and contains all of the comforts of home, such as wireless Internet. Two bedrooms, both with queen mattresses, along with a loft area with four twin mattresses, sleep 4 adults and 4 children comfortably. Two baths, one on each floor, allow for privacy, and the first-floor bath contains a tub for bathing the little ones! A full-sized washer and dryer are located in the walkout basement and we updated the kitchen with new cabinets, quartz countertops, a tiled backsplash, a new range, a new microwave, and a new sink.

In the summer, rest on the screened-in porch with water views, sit on the private dock, or explore the lake by kayak. Guests can enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools, gym, tennis courts, and playgrounds of the Lake Arrowhead community. An outdoor fire pit allows for building new family memories.

We are old-fashioned and like to talk to all of our renters to make sure all of our expectations are clear. We want our renters to be happy and have an amazing vacation. Unfortunately, VRBO requires that renters make a payment before we can talk directly. We have learned over the years that a short personal conversation makes the difference between a good vacation and a great one.

Summer rentals are weekly from Saturday to Saturday. We offer special monthly and seasonal rates for Fall, Winter, and Spring.

The cabin sits in a beatiful cove where there is little to no boat traffic. The dock was big enough for multiple people to fish off of. The lake is a bass fishing dream. If you take a boat there are endless perfect places to fish. We were catching them nonstop all week. Also Marty, the owner was always quick to respond to any questions that we had. It was a little tight for 8 people, but we made it work. Other than that it was an amazing experience!! Meet "Camp George 2", the sister camp of "Camp George" located 4-1/2 miles away on the same beautiful Lake Arrowhead (visit VRBO.com/587592). When this property came on the market we immediately knew we had to own it. It is very private - you can't see any neighboring houses. Three private bedrooms and a large open concept living area with 1-1/2 baths all on one level opening to a huge (400 square foot) rear deck overlooking the private wooded back yard, more than 100' of shoreline and a private dock. Our "unfinished basement" adds another 1,000 square feet of guest friendly space. Here we have our laundry area, a table and 4 bistro chairs for board games or puzzles, an extensive assortment of DVDs, VHS tapes, board games and puzzles, a 55" Roku TV with a DVD/VCR player, ping pong, shuffleboard, practice golf putting, etc. Best of all, the adjoining lot is "Beach #1", owned and maintained by Lake Arrowhead Community Association. This beach is more than 100' wide with a cordoned off area providing safe swimming for children, picnic tables and toilet facilities. It is not open to the general public, just homeowners within the Lake Arrowhead community and their guests.

- "My family of 4 stayed at camp George 2 this August for a week. Gps got us there without a hitch. Upon arrival I was remarkably impressed with how accurate the listing for the property is to what was provided. You definitely get what they tell you they are offering! There's are no absurd house rules as with some previous houses we've stayed in either. The owners definitely provide a great vacation experience with this property. Everything we needed to use the property to it's fullest was provided (one exception potentially being child sized life vests but they mention that in the listing). The house is well organized to find things that you're looking for. The basement was a kids dream with all the old fashioned screenless fun you could enjoy. They had ample fun board games too! If the basement doesn't have it, the clubhouse did with a billiards table, air hockey and indoor pool. While we didn't rent the pontoon it was stationed on our dock as a "floating porch" and we enjoyed it immensely and it became a favorite place to enjoy the morning coffee (even if we spilled it all the way down the hill). If it hadn't been there, there were also benches up from the dock for the same enjoyment. The water crafts were in great supply and they also had fishing supplies which was super helpful since we forgot our tackle box at home. The laundry facility in the basement was a perfect set up. All the beds were creak-free and very comfortable. The kitchen was nicely stocked for cooking."

We made sure to replace the paper towels and toilet paper for the next people. Fridge is newer and big enough to fit anything you need. - "We had an awesome stay - the place was very clean, check in was super easy. Comfortable, nice view and access to lake. It had everything we needed, and the woodstove was so nice for the cooler nights. We saw a bunch of loons and the fishing was good! Would be nice to have some bookshelves and/ or games in the living area, or art on the walls, but I also really appreciate the lack of clutter and cleanliness of the place! We had such a fun and relaxing time, will definitely be back!"

Lake Arrowhead in southern Maine is an 1100 acre lake which is well known for its great fishing. Kayaking, boating, and swimming are also fantastic in the crystal clear shallow warm water. Lake Arrowhead is less than 2 hours from boston. Our year round home has over 250 ft of direct lake frontage! nice flat lot with easy access to the swimming area. You will love the privacy. We are on a penninsula with virtually no traffic. The house confortably sleeps 8 with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. we have 2 kayaks and rowboat for your use.
The Lake Arrowhead association also includes 2 clubhouses with small gyms and indoor and outdoor pools for your use. we are also offering winter rentals. great for ice fishing, snowmobiling ,atv"s right from the property or just getting away. fantastic area for september fun and october foliage!!!

- "We had a great time despite less than stellar weather. The house was comfy and cozy as we watched the rain! We also took advantage of the club house indoor pool! There was good fishing - my 7 year old caught the first fish of the trip!" - "It's not often that you find a vacation spot that ticks so many boxes and is still affordable. The house is inviting and comfortable. The neighborhood is nice quiet but it's the view and proximity to the lake that is the real star. If you are in the house you can see the lake from almost everywhere and when you go out the glass door in the back you have your own recreation area. No driving, no finding a parking spot no long hot walk in flip-flops hauling your cooler and beach chairs, Just a 50 foot walk under the shady pines and you have your own private swimming spot. Our Mini dachshund has never enjoyed water that much in her life and the kayaks and paddle board along with my canoe were used almost every day with the exception of one day when we went to Portland (less than an hour away) for shopping and some of the best dining in New England. Mike and Kathy were always in contact and easy to reach if we needed anything. They even left a S'mores kit for us and encouraged us to use the fire pit by the lake. The whole family wants to come back next year."

The house offers a fully equipped kitchen, inviting living room, three bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. Have access to two clubhouses, which includes an indoor and outdoor pool, a weight room, and a cardio room.

We stayed 4 nights at the rental and were not disappointed. We wanted a location that could sleep 7 adults and a place that had a large table/open environment as my family planned day trips to Portland and evenings to be at the rental playing games and hanging out. The only downsides to list - as mentioned in other reviews the dish washer rack is broken and needs to be fixed, and the beds overall were not comfortable - would recommend/hope in time that the property owner might replace the beds because that was my one real issue with the place (or invest in some cushioned mattress covers?)"

Our all season spacious lakeside home has three bedrooms, a spacious dining and breakfast nook area & plenty of room for the family on the couches in the living room for movie night. There is a game room (with ping pong table, lots of board games, and even a mini miss Pac-Man arcade game) in the finished basement. You’ll enjoy the large deck on the back to grill or relax & enjoy nature on. Only a few doors down from a park with swings, slides and other play ground equipment. Also less than a mile from our community clubhouse that has both an indoor & outdoor pool, air hockey & pool table. It’s not only great here in the summer, Fall on the lake is breathtaking with all colors of the changing leaves and the fishing can’t be beat, Winter brings ice fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and even skiing (less than an hour away), Spring brings mud season with miles of trails nearby to explore. No matter the season there’s lots to do or not do (why not just relax on the deck or at the pool?).

- "The property was clean and easy to find. We went the same day as a snow storm, but the driveway was plowed and the steps were salted. My only complaint was that the living room had a cigarette smoke smell (maybe from the heater?)." - "This was a very cute place to stay. However the water pressure was VERY low. It took almost 3 minutes to fill up the sink just enough to be able to do dishes. We did report this thinking it may have been an issue with the well pump as well as having to report an issue with a broken blind. The property manager was quick to respond and even sent a maintenance tech out to check the pump. Turns out that is just how the pressure is. Overall we were pleased with our stay and loved the outdoor picnic, deck and fire pit areas."

Rejuvenate at our 3 bedroom lakeside retreat, complete with a hammock, fire pit, furnished deck, outdoor grill, front load washer and dryer, queen size beds, renovated kitchen, including a new dishwasher, gorgeous granite countertops, island seating, three televisions, fast Wifi, two double-kayaks and a canoe. Home boasts large windows facing the lake, as well as a wrap around deck and vaulted ceiling over the main living room and kitchen area!

This lakeside home has been renovated to include all the necessities for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

The recent kitchen renovations include plenty of storage, a brand new stainless steel refrigerator/freezer, glass top electric stove/oven, new dishwasher, large basin sink, gorgeous blue swirl granite countertops, a large island with seating for 4, toaster, microwave, and coffeemaker. We provide paper towels, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, oil, cleaning supplies and kitchen linens so you can feel at home with what you need! Our kitchen is stocked with utensils, dishes, pots, pans, baking sheets, cutting boards/knives and the basics to prepare meals. The kitchen leads to the wrap around deck through a sliding glass door.

The deck has been completely rebuilt with luxury glass railings so the lake view is unobstructed. Other upgrades include new siding on this year round home & a new outdoor dining table for 6, with an umbrella for shade.

The grill is located on the deck, lakeside, as well as outdoor furniture. The deck overlooks the fire pit area, with lake views, and leads to the dock. Plenty of firewood included with your stay!

You are welcome to utilize our double kayaks and canoe, life jackets, and swim or fish in Lake Arrowhead! The hammock is beside the house- also overlooking the lake.

The master bedroom is located on the second floor with a queen size bed, 32" Roku TV, plenty of closet space and drawers, as well as its own heat pump (for heating and cooling).

Both other bedrooms are located downstairs. One has a queen bed, two additional closets, dressers and a 40” Roku TV. The other has a queen bed and also desk space for family members who have to work remotely during your stay.

The bathroom is located close to the downstairs bedrooms and has a tub, shower and adjustable shower head. All linens and basic amenities are provided.

The main living space is open, with new windows overlooking the lake and a high vaulted ceiling. The entire home is kept comfortable year around with our newly installed heat pumps (for heating and cooling).

Access the lake directly from our backyard, as well as a smaller sandy Lake Arrowhead community beach area a very short walk from the property. Beach towels provided.

Please note: Guests have to walk down stairs (on a stone pathway) from the parking area to the house. One bedroom in the home requires walking up stairs. Also, to access the lake, guests will need to walk downhill to the water. *See photos.
