UPDATE on Russell Cove Cottage: Sadly the 1907 version of Russell Cove Cottage had to be demolished and this was accomplished in mid October 2024. New home is 5 bedrooms and 3 baths including an en-suite in primary king bedroom. We are in a family neighborhood and have a large yard for fun, games, and relaxing.

Construction is complete and summer is fully booked. First vacationers already loving the space :)

We have an absolutely gorgeous view of the harbor, relax with a cool drink while you watch the lobster boats bring home dinner! We are a mere one minute stroll to the beach - you can spend the day at the beach and still be close to the conveniences of the cottage - super important while with children. We have a wonderful yard for adults and kids alike. Our gameroom is pretty amazing, and kids will play air hockey, arcade basketball, video games without being overhead of the main living area. Such a bonus when it's time to come home from the beach, when kids are waiting for parents to wake up, or in the case of rain. Our house has something for everyone!

Our village boasts gift shops, restaurants, general store, artist studio, etc. Kayak rentals, deep sea fishing and whale watches available just down the street. As if that is not enough, Old Orchard Beach is only 4 miles.

Our charming cottage by the sea, located in a cottage community known as 'Camp Ellis', is our home away from home and we are sure you will feel the same. Enjoy your morning coffee from our second floor deck with an ocean view. The cottage is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, Smart TV and DVD. It is heated for a cool June or September. AC available on the first floor and ceiling fans in each room. Sheets and towels are NOT included. We are just steps to a quiet beach for relaxation and fun and which is dog friendly! There is a working fishing pier, deep sea fishing charters, kayak rentals, para sailing and jet ski rentals. Fresh lobsters are readily available. There is a wonderful local restaurant, Huot's, within walking distance and plenty more choices in town. There is a Camp Ellis General Store with many grocery items as well as wine, beer and wonderful snacks and local items. The cottage is just a few miles off the highway, yet you will feel like you're a world away. Take advantage of local antiquing and outlet shopping in Kittery and Freeport. You can take a free local trolley into Old Orchard Beach for fun on the Amusement Park Pier or a short drive into Portland for more city enjoyments.

A short walking distance from the beach will bring you to a mile long rock jetty for fishing and sunset pictures. You may even get to watch a tuna (up to 700 lbs or more)being unloaded from a local fisherman onto a truck to be sent to Japan

Paddleboarding, Jet skiing, fishing charters and more business have been running right out of the pier the last few seasons.

The location was perfect, as it is a very short walk (and even faster and safe bike ride) to the beach. The general store and Huot’s (a seafood restaurant) were very convenient (and also a short walk or bike ride away). The place is in a quiet neighborhood but a quick drive to Old Orchard for some arcade games, beach shops, and rides for the kids. This home is located in the spirited waterfront community known as Camp Ellis in Saco Maine (Southern Maine). Camp Ellis is a working waterfront community with a dock and a mile long jetty. Very popular for local lobstering and tuna fishing! When the ice truck drives by the house you know a fisherman is at the dock with a tuna!!!

Immaculate well-appointed cozy cottage with newly installed central air - no more noisy window AC units!!! Newly updated and decorated in a tasteful "pottery barn coastal". Two bedrooms with one large bath and an additional outdoor shower. One bedroom is furnished with a king size bed (memory foam mattress) and has a walk-in closet and TV; second bedroom has two twin beds and a small closet. All linens included at no extra charge. Bathroom is newly remodeled and spacious with a large vanity and walk-in shower (no tub).

Good size kitchen with a breakfast nook. All stainless-steel appliances, including a dishwasher, garbage disposal and is fully stocked with cookware, dishware and all the necessities for whipping up a quick meal. Comfortable sized dining room and a large back deck to enjoy outdoor dining and colorful sunsets. There is a sunny, all-season front porch for morning coffee or evening cocktails, which has been completely remodeled (pictures coming soon).

The house is equipped with a new outdoor gas grill. There is a washer and dryer in the basement for guests to use as well. Additionally, beach towels and 4 beach chairs are provided. This house accommodates 4 guests comfortably. And has a nice big yard for cornhole and other games (stored in basement) and a large driveway for off street parking.

The house is just a few blocks to 7 miles of beautiful beach, which includes Ferry Beach State Park (you can walk all the way to Old Orchard beach at low tide). It's a short drive to popular attractions in Old Orchard Beach and many of Saco's family attractions including amusement and water parks, miniature golf, a drive-in and indoor movie theater (RT 1 North). And enjoy nearby golf courses in Saco, Old Orchard Beach and Arundel (a Bush family favorite). Great vacation spot for the entire family. Sorry, No Pets and No Smoking.

The Camp Ellis trolley is back this season, providing transportation from Camp Ellis to OOB for an afternoon or evening of OOB fun! Kayak, bike, hike, swim or just relax in this waterfront village. Fish off the jetty or watch the fisherman haul in lobster and tuna on the dock, just a short walk from the cottage. Enjoy watching the boats sailing down the Saco River to the open ocean. There is a small country store for essentials with great sandwiches and a seafood restaurant and bar (Hout's) with live entertainment and ice cream all within walking distance from the house (businesses are only open seasonally). Camp Ellis is less than a 30 minute drive to Portland and Kennebunkport, about 40 minutes to Freeport for some outlet shopping! 3 bedrooms ocean front home. Raised 2 family located on a dead end street at the waters edge. The elevated first floor is entirely yours and you have your own entrances, wrap around deck, and your own drive way that can accommodate up to 3 cars. Two bedrooms each with full sized beds and the third bedroom with 2 twin beds, all with heat. We have a queen size sleep sofa in the living room and full bath, fully equipped kitchen, Living room has a flat screen TV, games and books.
Outside our wrap around deck is fully furnished with views everywhere. Eat dinner on the front porch facing the ocean or have your morning coffee on the back deck facing the mouth of the Saco River.
Thursdays during the summer, you can watch the fireworks in Old 0rchard Beach from your front deck with out the crowds.
We provide pillows and blankets but you must bring your own linens and towels.
In the yard there is a fire pit surrounded with seating. A gas grill, picnic table, and off street parking for 3 cars.
Because the house is elevated if you decide to bring your bikes you can store them under there.
This location is great for the day trippers. 45 minutes south of us is the Kittery Outlets and 45 minutes north is Freeport for more shopping if that is your thing. Old Orchard Beach is 3 miles down the road, close enough to visit but far enough away from the crowds. Kennebunkport is about 20 minutes way and my favorite, the Portland waterfront is also about 20 minutes away.
Walk on access to the beach. Located in our fishing village is Huots restaurant, a general store, and of course a lobster pound. See Tom’s lobster pound, caught that morning sold that afternoon. Nothing fresher.
This home has been in our family for over 50 years and is our pride and joy so all we ask is you treat it like it was your own. Leave the house in the exact condition you find it which is always neat, clean and orderly and unlike others we will refund the cleaning fee. We provide the cleaning supplies.
