Enter this brand-new, yet quaint cottage through white barn doors. The open-concept floor plan welcomes you with red, heated concrete floors, natural light, and designer décor.

In the spacious living room, you’ll find a sofa, love seat, and a red leather chair. Invite your friends over for an evening of games and sampling of local craft brews. Or make hot cocoa and snuggle up with your mate in front of the 64” flat-screen TV for a movie marathon.

The kitchen features granite counters, stainless appliances, and a 5-burner gas range. (There’s also a grill, stored out front—perfect for a seafood supper.) Grab a seat at the bar (4 stools) and sip a glass of wine while someone else does the cooking.

- "This is a wonderful property! It has the best ocean views for sunset and sunrise. It is located down a private road in a quiet enclave of houses with a very short path to a special little rocky beach. You can hear, see and smell the ocean from the house! The house is comfortable and clean with a well appointed kitchen making cooking for a family easy. There is an outdoor shower and a patio with a large table to eat your lobsters from Alewifes outside. The property manager, Danielle, responded immediately to all requests and Denis responds quickly as well to booking questions. This was our second stay the house and we plan to return. This is special house and we plan to be back."

- "From the minute you step foot onto the property, you can feel the love and care that has surrounded the grounds . The Dalias , sunflower, thistle, lilacs,and daisies ,bloom in an array of color. Apples blueberries and blackberries were bountiful and offered by the host , Bryan . My friend and I grew up in Cale Elizabeth and came back for our 50 HS reunion. We loved being able to stay in Cape Elizabeth, 5 minutes from the most photographed lighthouse in the world, first commissioned by George Washington, The Portland Headlight and Fort Williams offer a myriad of walking paths , a beach , picnic tables , food trucks, a gift shop and museum. Two lights and The Lobster Shack are close by as is Crescent Beach State Park . This property is 15 minutes from Portland and the bustling Old Port area known for its incredible restaurants, shops , bars and music . The East and Western Promenade's views are breathtaking and only a 10 min drive . The geese welcome you as you come and go and the 3 dogs on the property are incredibly friendly and well behaved. Everything was delightful. Sitting on the deck enjoying some Nespresso Coffee in the morning, meditating under the oldest apple- tree named” Grandma” and relaxing in the hot tub after a long day made us fall in love with “ Dragon-Fly Farm “ . Here's the full scoop: Our neighborhood is quiet, picturesque, woodsy and charming. Our home is modern, clean, comfortable and spacious. You can walk to a private, neighborhood-only rocky beach in less than ten minutes and contemplate the ocean surf. In 20-25 minutes, you can walk (or drive in 5 minutes) to one of several beautiful state parks and beaches. Crescent Beach is wide, sandy, and pretty, perfect for sunbathing and walking. At Kettle Cove, you can watch local lobstermen haul in their catch, while at Two Lights, you can take in the spectacular ocean views with rolling surf and rocky coastline.

We’re a 15-minute​ drive into downtown Portland, where you can explore Old Town and its diverse culinary scene, artistic community, historic waterfront, wonderful entertainment, and fabulous shopping experiences.

Your private guest suite is located on the lower floor of our home (only 6 steps down!), with plenty of large windows looking into our wooded front yard. You might see deer nibbling on the branches, or a red fox strolling by.

Relax in your spacious “Paris Bedroom,” with a cozy and well-appointed curtained four-poster bed. Plenty of pillows, comforters ​and blankets make for a comfy night’s sleep. If you’re traveling as a couple, this is a romantic and secluded space for the two of you. You’ll find robes and slippers in the closet.

If you bring your family, we can accommodate children in “Artie’s Room as well as in the large living room.

Business traveler? There are several desks (one in the Paris Bedroom, and one in the Family Room) if you need to get some work done. Internet access included, of course!

If you need quiet time to paint, draw, or write, you’ll find the workspace and location perfect for inspiration and creativity. Maine is known for its artists, and we have several in the family! There are a number of artistic touches throughout the suite, and you’re welcome to use the deck and outdoor space to set up your easel and paint.

The fully-furnished Family Room area is large, bright and full of books, magazines, games, music CDs and a 42-inch TV with access to OnDemand, Netflix, and Amazon. There is a dining area with a table that seats 4 (or 6 if needed); a ​hutch filled with dishes, flatware and glasses; a bar cart with a toaster and coffee maker; and an electric kettle, microwave and mini-fridge for your convenience. We'll have a few things in the mini-fridge (milk and cream for coffee, several bottles of water and juice), but you're welcome to stock your own goodies there. We'll provide coffee and tea for your enjoyment.

The private bathroom is newly remodeled and features a large, spacious shower. It’s all yours - no sharing with anyone. No need to bring your hair dryer, flat iron or curling iron, because you’ll find them here. We provide the works, including towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion from local purveyors. If you need any extras, just ask!

Our laundry area is also located on the lower level, in the utility room. It’s for family use, but if you need to do some laundry in a pinch, please ask and we can accommodate your needs.

In the summer, we provide beach towels, picnic basket, blankets, cooler, totes, backpack - anything you might need for a day’s outing. Beach passes are reasonably priced, but you’re welcome to borrow ours if we’re not using it.

We have a cat (just mentioning, in case you have allergies), but they’ll stay with us. If you see any of them hanging around the back door, please don’t let them out!

We live here year-round and work from home, so we’re usually around. If not on site, we’re available by text and/or phone. We’ll always try to meet and greet you at some point. However, we will respect your privacy and if you’re here to escape- retreat and be left alone, we will certainly honor that too.

A little bit about us: Sam is a native Mainer and Kathryn is a Canadian, from southern Ontario. Both of us lived in Arizona for a number of years before returning back East, where life is better. We found our perfect home after a three-year search, and are happy to help others discover why Maine is so special.

Sam is an alternative energy consultant, specializing in solar energy development. He loves to go out walking and exploring, and can direct you to interesting places on or off the beaten path. He used to work in the seafood industry, so he can tell you what to look for and what to know if you go to the fish/lobster market.

Kathryn is a jewelry designer and writer. Her contemporary-style work can be found in several museum shops and galleries in Arizona and in Maine. She is happy to be learning the lingo of Maine (you CAN get theah from heah!), and thinks everyone here is so friendly. And it’s true!

Other things to note
You'll use a shared back entrance but will have your own private space just six steps down to the lower level. You can close your doors for complete privacy. The entire bedroom, family room, second bedroom and bathroom are completely private and all yours. No bathroom sharing!

Lovely coastal Maine cottage-style home in Cape Elizabeth with a bright and open floor plan. Our home is located in a peaceful family residential neighborhood and abuts to several acres of wooded greenbelt trails. We are near the Spurwink Marsh and River, home of the Rachel Carson wildlife preserve and we are just a mere 2.5 to 6 miles to some of the finest beaches in Maine. The vibrant small city of Portland is 6 miles from our home. Come and enjoy her many restaurants, micro brews and sights!

Our home is a cottage-style Maine home and has 4 plus one bedrooms: The master suite has a king size bed with private full bath. Bedroom #2 has a queen memory bed (comfy!) along with a desk and sitting couch. Bedroom #3 has a queen size bed with sitting chair. Bedroom #4 has a beautiful California King bed with sitting chairs. The plus #5 bedroom is what we call the boat room. This is the 700 sq. foot bonus room. It has two beautifully crafted full sized boat beds, big screen TV and a pedestal table with chairs. The walls are lined with built in book selves loaded with children's books. This room can be used as a bedroom or living space. All bedrooms are on the second floor. In addition to the master bath on the second floor there is a full sized bathroom just off the hallway with double sinks and a separate toilet and shower room that can be closed off with a pocket door.
The first floor of our home has an open and airy floor plan: a gourmet kitchen opens into the living room which then opens to a lovely dinning room. From the kitchen you may walk right on to the blue stone terrace in the back yard. Also, on the first floor is a mudroom and half bath and a private office space.
Outside you will find a fully fenced backyard and large blue stone terrace that backs up to conservation green space. Our home also has a wonderful front porch to cozy up with a good summer read or a morning cup of coffee!
***this home has central air conditioning for the relief from the hot and humid summer days and wonderful radiant base-board heat for the chilly Fall and Winter season.

Built in 2022/23, this beautiful home is passive solar located on a private road in the woods in Cape Elizabeth. You will feel you are in Maine the second you walk in the home with the beautiful nautical features and decor. With large windows in every room (no curtains except in the guest room/office) you will enjoy the natural light from sun up to sun down. The home was designed, so you can enjoy mother nature while being comfortable inside and enjoy watching the friendly wildlife like deer, birds, turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks, etc.

The living room with a fireplace and beautiful white sectional is open to the dining room and kitchen. There is a tv in the living room, owner's suite, and in the basement. Only a short drive, uber or bike away from the famous Portland Headlight, downtown Portland, restaurants, bars, and most importantly the ocean and beautiful beaches. This home is perfect for adults wanting to getaway and relax.

This is the owner's primary home, so it offers everything a home would need to be comfortable. The owner will be staying on the property next door (through the woods), so she will be close by to help with any questions or issues, BUT you will still have complete privacy. There is enough room to park small/medium sized car in the garage. The property is sprayed for ticks and mosquitos in the summer to cut back significantly on the annoying bugs that come from living in the woods. Keep your eyes peeled for fireflies at night or the beautiful sounds of peepers from the pond next door.

At Crescent Beach, you'll find soft sand, a gentle tide, and rocky coast line at both ends. You'll also find walking/jogging trails along the shore and through the woods in both directions. Popular activities include swimming, kayaking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Kayak rentals are available right on the beach, at the Snack Bar.

If you like, drive or bike along Scarborough Marsh toward Higgins Beach (5.0 mi. away), Scarborough Beach (6.1 mi.), or Ferry Beach (7.0 mi.). Explore the rocky coast of Two Lights State Park (1.7 mi.), or picnic next to Portland Headlight at Fort Williams (6 mi.). - "My family (two elementary school-aged kids, two adults, and three mid-70s grandparents) had a blast at this lovely house right on the water. The kids loved exploring the water and all of the marine life there. It was so peaceful to simply open up the windows of the house and get the sights, smells, and sounds of the waterfront. There were a couple of very minor issues that came up, and the property manager was very quick to respond and remedy things by phone/text."

The "Nook" is a cozy, furnished year round one bedroom apartment at Higgins Beach, Scarborough, Maine, just a two minute walk to the most incredible silver-sand beach in southern Maine. The bedroom has a Queen size bed and a futon sleeper. The sitting room has a comfortable love seat and Color TV. The fully furnished Kitchen/Dining area has bead board and hardwood. Also, outdoor dining table and chairs and gas grille. No laundry on site. Please bring your own sheets and towels. No smoking or pets allowed.
