The Bungalow is an 800 sq ft heated modern post & beam structure providing ample living space with a modern kitchen, two bedrooms (one queen, one full), and a 300 sq ft living/dining room area with an adjoining screen porch. Diane has a very well organized "tourist booth" right inside the cabin: sightseeing, restuarants, museums and many other area attractions. This cabin is truly special as it sits on it's own little pennisula, away from the big house so it's very private. Really clean and well organized kitchen, but the bathroom is kinda small. But hey, you're in a cabin in the Maine woods not a spa lol! It too is just right...the bedroom has a comfy king bed with a good variety of pillows to lounge around on after your hikes or touring lighthouses. There's a table in front of the big windows which face west for the fantastic sunsets. the table has a drop leaf so you can have your coffee there and plan your day. The yard has access to the water so you can toss a fishing line in if so inclined at high tide. And the entire property itself is so beautifully landscaped with flowers blooming in all the right places!! We had such a relaxing vacation there we are thinking of going back in the fall. Upon entering this adorable, quaint cottage you will first notice it's open concept living/kitchen area. The kitchen appliances are all smaller, including the fridge, but you can still utilize them for all your cooking needs. The bathroom is located on the first level and has a stand up shower. The sliding glass doors lead you right to the deck that sits out over the water. Upstairs you will find a large sized bedroom with a king size bed and beautiful ocean views.

*Note- the parking for the cottage is across the lawn.

The space and amenities are just right for two and exactly as advertised – the cottage and the location are just about as perfect as it gets. Time spent on the deck was a joy and the spaces inside, upstairs and down, managed to be both cozy and airy at the same time. The cottage was impeccably clean and outfitted, and Your Island Connection was consistently and immediately available if needed. We brought our sea kayaks with us and there was ample room to park the trailer and launching access was a very short carry down the end of the road. It was a wonderful week, and we are already planning and so looking forward to our next visit!"

The space

A true Maine cottage tucked off a side road in the charming village of Cundy's Harbor. The sunny location offers peek-a-boo views through the trees of the New Meadows to the boats in the Harbor. Take a moment to relax on the large deck, enjoying the relaxing sounds of coastal living.

The 780 sq. foot cottage was built in the 1950's ~ It offers a surprisingly open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, polished & warn spruce floors and a South side bay of windows, filling the space with warmth and light. The one bedroom offers a queen sized bed, with the renovated bathroom just steps away. The open living room has a window unit AC, an electric fireplace for the chilly nights, as well as a TV for your streaming purposes. The kitchen includes the basic appliances, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans....all you need to prepare your own meals ! The dining area is next to the kitchen, where there are slight ocean views, and sounds of the working waterfront. The cottage also presents a bright sitting area, overlooking the deck. Presently a seasonal cottage, the hot air furnace gives an excellent reason to extend your stay. Our guests are welcome to use the town boat launch, just around the corner, to explore the fine fishing on the New Meadows or boat or walk over to Holbrook's Restaurant, Hawkes Lobster Wharf and Gift Shop, and also our convenience store !

Harpswell is indeed a gem, and is packed with much to offer our travelers. From breathtaking views at every turn, to our many hiking trails! Harpswell boasts our abundant rocky coastline to explore , countless tide pools, art galleries, restaurants, lobster pounds, working wharfs, and you can even find some charter boat rides and fishing trips ! One trip to Harpswell, and you will be "hooked" !! Many of our tourists return year after year....there's just something extraordinary about Harpswell !

Cundy's Harbor is also convenient to many surrounding towns ~ Brunswick is only 15 minutes away, Freeport, the home of LL Bean, is about a half hour away, & The Portland Jet Port is close to an hour away. The other direction will take you to Bath, Wiscasset, Boothbay, & Phippsburg, which is the home of the longest stretch of breathtaking beach in Maine, called Popham Beach, (around 50 minutes away).

The apartment is located above our garages and offers a private entrance for guest use. Your hosts, Robin and Joseph have tried to anticipate most needs of our guests, but if we have forgotten anything, please bring it to our attention and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

The larger bedroom features a brand new queen bed (with fresh new bedding), a large double closet and large dresser, hairdryer, iron and ironing board

The smaller bedroom contains a Twin XL (80" long) bunk bed setup, also with brand new mattresses and bedding.

The kitchen features a full sized gas range, full sized refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, microwave, coffee maker & filters, toaster, tea kettle, pots, pans, glasses, dishes, silverware, utensils, basic spices, paper towels, napkins, etc.

Dining table seats 4. Living area houses 2 comfy chairs, an over sized sofa, smart TV, cable TV, and DVD player. There are a variety of cards, games and puzzles in case you catch a rainy day.

The apartment is heated in the winter months and outfitted with a window A/C unit and ceiling fans for your comfort in the summer months. The property is protected by a standby generator in the event of power loss.

For the comfort of our future guests, we ask that you refrain from deep frying or indoor lobster boils. If you let us know in advance we will happily fire up the lobster pot on the grill!

Cedar Cottage is a small cottage just feet from Quahog Bay. It has a wrap around porch offering shade or sun and amazing views. There are 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards to get out on the water and view the birds, seals and other sea life.

Many memories await you here ! The cabin is equipped with an air conditioner to help with the hot days/nights!

Our 2 bedroom cabin is very cozy, great open living room & dining area~ small kitchen with an apartment size stove and fridge. The bedroom with the queen size bed, is off of the kitchen area, with great ocean views. The other bedroom with the twin bunkbeds is off of the dining area~ the bathroom is a "pass through" located off of the bedroom with the twin beds. (you must go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom) The bathroom is small, not much room to move around, but has all you need.

The outside decks are wonderful for relaxing with your morning coffee, afternoon cocktails, or just to enjoy the fresh ocean air !

Harpswell has many nearby trails to enjoy, or you can utilize the many boat tours around the beautiful islands of Casco Bay. There is a Town Boat Launch conveniently located, just a few minutes away, on the main road. There are many islands, coves , points and open water to enjoy. Also great for kayaking! If you don 't have your own, no worries, rentals are available from local outfitters ! You will also enjoy the charm of local lobster boats, seabirds, and other sea creatures that inhabit the area. Harpswell has so much to offer, including fresh lobsters, farms, art galleries, dining, fine shops, exploring, and of course relaxing ! Travel to another island of Harpswell, and drive over the only existing, working Cribstone bridge in the US. Visit Land's End Gift Shop, board the Island Romance Ferry which cruises around the coastal islands, and so much more!

- "Perfect little cabin nestled in the woods in a beautiful part of Maine!" - "The cottage was small but very well equipped with everything we needed for a 3-night stay. We appreciated being welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolates! There were many nice touches and attention to detail, very impressively organized for such a small space. The location is convenient to trails, nature preserves, restaurants, and scenic views. There was plenty to entertain us on a rainy day - TV, books, puzzles, games, and comfortable furniture for hanging out. A couple of minor negatives - the bunk beds are very small, appropriate for children but too small for adults. My adult daughter ended up sleeping on the pull-out couch in the living room. Also, the place was a bit damp and musty, but turning on the heat improved it. Overall, we were very happy with the cabin and would stay there again."

- "What a lovely escape to a beautiful environment with everything you could need provided for your stay. The host has thought of every detail and has created a magical respite to share with others. Gray and harbor seals visit the cove for breakfast. Bald and Golden eagles nest nearby and dance in the skies over the waters. Hummingbirds visit the flowers surrounding the property and the porch provides a perfect spot to appreciate these marvels of nature. The cottage is both comfortable and decorated impeccably. A variety of seating and settings in the home create separate spaces for reading, enjoying a meal or conversation. For those who may need to spend some time working remotely, colleagues on zoom will most certainly be jealous of the view over your shoulder! Swimming and canoeing from the dock is delightful. It is difficult to leave the cabin but the location of the property is perfect for enjoying the area. It feels remote, but is close to Brunswick and short trips to the north and south will provide the full experience of mid coast Maine.
