Camp Lillian a sweet “new old” cabin is modest in scale, simply furnished so to not detract from the richness of the views --- it offers a fresh, invigorating sense of “just what is needed, nothing more.” The cabin is located on a 40 acre family compound where we have four glamping tents and five cabins with plenty of privacy between each.

There is a queen bed with duvet covers and beautiful south facing views of the mountains. Vintage oriental rugs, beautiful drapes and antique lamps. There is a cozy bay window where one could read, or sleep. The bay window overlooks a wildflower meadow with a canopy of trees behind the cabin. The bathroom has a nice shower and vanity. There is plenty of hot water, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked with a stove, an under counter fridge, toaster, coffee making things and of course a sink. There are good pans to cook with, plates, glasses and silverware. The cabin is cozy warm in winter with electric heat.

There is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs. We provide dry firewood and kindling for our guests. Stargazing at night is amazing as there is no light pollution.

Summers are wonderful with cool mountain breezes, nearby lakes and the Hudson River to swim, bathe or fish in. Fall is glorious with all the trees turning color.

We are only five miles from Gore Mountain for downhill skiing and three miles from Garnet Hill Lodge for cross country skiing (and dining!)

Enjoy a hot tub experience! Built within a beautiful Japanese temple-like structure on one of the most beautiful spots of our land (a very short walk from this cabin), our all natural no-chemical hot tub is a delightful way to start your morning, relax after hiking or winding down after dinner. Available for a private experience for $25 for an hour of wonderful relaxation. Let us know if you would like to book!

SUMMER ONLY: Join us for wood-fired pizza! On the upper portion of our land off Cemetery Road, we have a wood fired pizza oven. Here’s how it works. We make and provide the dough, and guests bring their own toppings. We fire up the wood-fired pizza in the late afternoon. By six, the wood fire has died down and the oven is about 800 degrees. Most nights (not all) From six-thirty to seven-thirty, guests come to the pizza pavilion with their toppings and we help them cook their pizzas.

As for summer things to do in the area, there is white water rafting in the beautiful clean Hudson River right at the bottom of our hill offered by various kayaking companies, hiking spots galore, a nearby gorgeous completely undeveloped lake called 13th Lake, dining in North Creek or nearby Garnet Hill Lodge and great daytrips to nearby Lake George, Blue Mountain Lake, Lake Placid and such.

The property is an easy scenic drive up 87 from NYC. If you arrive late, the house will be unlocked and lights on for you.

ARCHITECTURAL NOTES: The cabin was designed and hand crafted by its hostess/owner Leslie. A small crew framed the house in November and Leslie had a lovely winter doing all the inside carpentry and painting during the winter.

A great deal of thought and energy went into planning this cabin. Like a tree grabbing a roothold in the slope, reaching down for water and minerals and arching up toward the available sunlight, a house must begin and grow from its site. When the design of a house has grown out of the uniqueness of the site, it will seem as natural and as integral a part of the whole as trees are a part of the forest. When the house becomes a part of the land, the site can be fully inhabited. The cabin is not set a top the highest point of the land, where it would be fully exposed, but partway down, allowing the woods behind to form privacy and to shelter the house. Gaze out at the wildness of the site from a sheltered spot.

Unbeatable skiing at Gore Mountain is 15 miles away and multiple river rafting companies are within 5 miles. Skiing at Gore Mountain is only about 12 miles away! Rafting adventures on the Hudson River with Adirondac Rafting Co. (which runs through Indian Lake) are just six miles from the cabin. The world-renowned Adirondack Experience Museum is located in Blue Mountain Lake about 18 miles away.

Inside, you'll be greeted by an expansive getaway boasting cathedral ceilings and fun vintage decor. The large, pristine living area invites you and your guests to relax on the comfy furniture while watching your favorite streaming service on the TV. The culinary enthusiasts of the group will love whipping up snacks and entire feasts in the well-equipped kitchen. Come enjoy our lakefront house! 2 bedroom house on Lake Abanakee. Fish off of the dock, take the row boat or kayaks to explore over 4 miles of the lake. There are many hiking trails nearby and it’s only 20 minutes away from Gore mountain. World class whitewater rafting that starts less than 2 miles from house. This is the shallow end of the lake, swimming is not ideal. The local Town Beach with a lifeguard is a few miles away and open Monday – Saturday.

This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom log cabin was fully renovated in 2023. Inside you will be greeted by a cozy living room with a beautiful stone gas fireplace, memory foam leather sectional, and 55'' TV. The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with brand new appliances and everything you need to whip up a delicious meal. Gated front deck offers a weber gas grill and stunning mountain views. Each bedroom has a memory foam queen mattress, double nightstands, 6 drawer dresser, humidifier, and ceiling fan. Linens and towels are included. Basement offers a Samsung washer and dryer as well as a custom built bar with seating for 6, 55'' TV, extra fridge, large speaker, ring toss and dart board. Enjoy yourself in the outdoor electric sauna or hot tub! House is equipped with high speed fiber optic internet, and central air with AC. Outdoor firepit with mountain views.

The Neighborhood:
Located on a quiet cozy road within walking distance to town. Snowmobile and cross country ski access right out of the driveway.

Getting Around:
There is a lower and upper parking lot in the driveway, the upper lot is a little steep but makes it convenient for unloading luggage as the front door is in the rear of the house. Town is a 30 second drive away where you have access to the local bars and restaurants, as well as Stewarts.

Other Things to Note:
Driveway to upper parking lot is steep, the trade off of a gorgeous mountain view. In winter months all wheel drive is recommended. However there is parking at the lower section of the driveway.

We struggled a bit with flooding and being displaced from our normal plans up near Long Lake this year, but we are so glad to have found this place at the last minute when other plans fell through. If you are looking to get away and have some quiet time, then this is your place. It was like camping, but with all the amenities - great kitchen, beds, awesome bathrooms, and the super cool screened in game/eating room. We loved it and hope to be back. Got a little chilly at night but between the heater and the space heater we were perfectly comfortable. Nice and quiet location, <10 mins from Stewart’s. Be prepared to drive 20+ minutes for restaurants, especially if visiting off-season as many close seasonally. Overall a great place and a great value, would definitely stay here again!"

- "This was the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. The new decor was very nice and neat. Space warmer was nice for winter. Water also was warm . Plenty array of hot beverages. We arrived late during a snow storm and had extended difficulties getting our SUV down the driveway. We were plowed out early the next morning which was appreciated. There was some draft under the door, but we were still warm. Bed was comfortable which was nice after a long day of skiing. Nice access to Indian lake boat launch which we used for snow shoeing. As long as you are okay with forgoing a kitchen/kitchenette, this is the perfect place to rest in this area of the ADK (you can still brew coffee and cocoa!) You can hear some noise from your neighbors, but nothing that inhibited our sleep. Usually I am wary of motels, but this was by far the nicest one I have every stayed at and we would stay again."

- "We love the property. We totally enjoy the relaxing setting with the cozy room and the scent of wood. Even though there is no tv , but we are here to enjoy nature and the family. It is quite a memorable experience for the family." - "The place was nice but, very small for a family of four. The shower was super small and the floor in-front of it felt like it might cave in. The beds were nice and the coffee was nice. We didn’t use the fire pit but, that was nice as well. It is very rustic like a lot of places in the area. But, we’re able to do what we needed to do."

Stay in the central Adirondacks! We are on the snowmobile trail! 15 min to Gore mountain for big mountain skiing. 20 min to oak mountain/speculator. Ride the hudson Gorge white water rafting spring to fall. Visit the Adirondack experience in blue mountain lake just 15 minutes away. Rent a boat and camp on indian lake during the summer! Hike and fish! Ice fish!! Possibilities are endless. We are located in the town of indian lake. We are a classic Adirondack motel with singles 1 & 2br apts. Indian Lake 1br apartment boasts 1 inviting bedroom with a full bed. The living room offers a cozy sofa bed for extra guests. Guests can enjoy amenities like WiFi, AC, and a hair dryer. Explore countless hiking trails, lakes, and rivers just minutes away—perfect for kayaking, canoeing, or rafting. Whether you're looking for adventure or tranquility, this cozy, nature-wrapped hideaway is the perfect base camp.

The space:
Our studio offers the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. Just 1.5 miles from the hamlet of Indian Lake, you'll find the Town of Indian Lake Public Beach on Lake Abanakee, accessible via Chain Lakes Road. This tranquil spot features a sandy swimming area, a floating dock, Red Cross-certified lifeguards, public restrooms, a covered pavilion, volleyball court, and swings.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the Sawyer Mountain Trailhead is nearby, offering a 2.1-mile hike with scenic views. Another great option is the OK Slip Falls hike, known for its beautiful waterfall and peaceful surroundings. In winter, enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing. Indian Lake is also known as the "Moose Capital of the Northeast," providing great wildlife viewing opportunities.

Gore Mountain, New York's largest ski resort, is just a 20-minute drive from the studio.

Guest access
Guests have full, private access to the entire studio unit, including the living area, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette. You’ll also have your own private driveway and entrance, ensuring convenience and privacy. Outside, feel free to use the outdoor seating area and BBQ grill anytime during your stay. Free parking is available on-site.

We want you to feel completely at home and have everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing visit!

Other things to note
The studio is a smoke-free and pet-free space to ensure a clean, comfortable stay for everyone.

Parking is available in the private driveway right outside the entrance.

Wi-Fi is included and reliable for work or streaming.

The studio has a full bathroom and kitchen amenities, but laundry facilities are not on-site.

Since we’re not full-time residents, maintenance issues are handled promptly - just let us know if anything comes up.

Outdoor seating and BBQ grill are available for your use; please clean up after cooking.

Only “problem” is it has no air conditioning so it can get hot during the hotter months (like during a heat wave when I visited). I imagine it is perfect during cooler months. Gather your friends and family for a stay in the ultimate sleepover cabin! Sleep up to six guests in any season. Tucked away off the beaten path, but located just off the Indian Lake snowmobile trails, this cabin is the perfect getaway. Cabin 5 has its very own private charcoal grill, picnic table, fire pit and yard that backs up to private woods.

Cabin 5's layout includes a queen bed in the master bedroom, and two sets of twin bunk beds in the second bedroom.

Linens and a full kitchen are included with your stay.
