The resort does rely on the regular winds of the island and therefore the units’ air conditioning is limited but nothing that ruined our experience. The process to book kayaks or standup paddle boards was simple and easy. We would absolutely stay there again!"

It is private from the main house the landscaping keeps you from seeing the house when sitting on the back lanai where the BBQ and sitting area is located. There is one off the road parking stall for quests to use. There is also a kids play house with swings for the quests to use if they like. - "What a beautiful place to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our family. There were 14 of us, 8 adults and 6 children (ages 21 months to 15 yrs.). It was like having our own little paradise. The view of the bay and mountains was spectacular, and the house is surrounded with so many different tropical plants. Amenities were well-supplied. Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished, air-conditioned 2 bedroom/2 bath top floor apartment of this gated house. The main/master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a television, while the second bedroom has 2 twin beds that may be converted to a king. The living room includes 1 queen size sofa bed and 1 full size sofa bed. The large lanai has an outdoor dining area, BBQ and outdoor living furniture so that guests may enjoy the expansive views of Kaneohe Bay, Chinaman's Hat Island and the Ko'olau mounatins. - "This VRBO is a 10! Perfect family getaway. Often on rentals the pictures do not represent the property and you end up disappointed. This home is represented perfectly and more. It is so beautiful and peaceful there. Not only do you have this beautiful view, but you are surrounded by lush foliage. The bedroom with the twin beds feels like you are in a treehouse. The kitchen is perfect for cooking with your family. The location is just remote enough, if you want hustle and bustle, Honolulu and Waikiki is a short drive away. Excellent kayaking (provided) is right across the road which we did often. We were very pleased to have Maui the porch cat and Hanalei the neighbors dog to help us feel at home as we missed our own pets. The owners are lovely people, easy to communicate with and respond quickly. I travel often for work and this is easily at the top of my list of favorite places I've stayed. This area of the island is located on the Windward (Eastern) side of the island. Kaneohe Bay is a 7500 acre inlet and is the largest sheltered body of water in the main Hawaiian islands. It is the only bay in Hawaii with a barrier reef. The calm serene water is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

There are many great places to explore in the area including botanical gardens, He'eia State Park, Kaneohe sandbar, Byodo-In Temple (a replica of a 900 year old Buddhist temple), Bayview Golf and Bayview mini putt and zipline, Windward Mall and theaters. Kualoa Ranch offers horseback riding and ATV adventures that take you to discover where Jurassic Park was filmed, among other famous movies. If you are hungry and don't want to cook, Haleiwa Joe's in Haiku Gardens is a favorite spot perched above a beautiful lagoon. Kailua town is a short 10 minute drive away and offers many restaurant and shopping options, as well as famous Lanikai and Kailua Beaches known for their crystal clear blue waters and powdery white sand.

- "Small negative: The Kitchen lists an oven and a microwave. I knew there was no oven. I had inquired about the microwave about 2 months before our trip. The response was they hoped to have one but could not guarantee. A small disappointment as it safer than a hotplate & limited reheating or just making tea, instant oatmeal. Never found the laundryroom. Didn't need it but suggest signage. Many positives: Liked the door which separated the toilet & shower from the walkthrough bathroom sink/vanity. Gave needed privacy as we were not a couple! Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Appreciated the directions to the hidden road. Never heard other guests. We cleaned dishes, swept up and found where to empty trash. Weren't sure what was expected as there were no notes. Thank you for a relaxing time. The space:
Prior to the COVID pandemic, we enjoyed hosting a wonderful variety of guests from around the world, and were able to be on the receiving end of some very nice, positive reviews! With the onset of the pandemic, however, vacation spots needed to be more! They needed to become “work from home” spots, and places where friends and family could be comfortable spending lots of time in! Consequently we updated our home to complement this new way of life. We made sure we had fast internet throughout the property, not just indoors. We made sure we had comfortable work stations available in most rooms. We made multiple comfortable seating areas under covered lanais that capitalized on our location in a peaceful neighborhood with gorgeous views. We did our best to offer an ideal “work from home” situation: a great place to be where vacation amenities are right in your rental, with no need to share with other people you don’t know. Work from home, then take a break to swim, kayak, play ping pong, pool, darts… or maybe just enjoy the outdoor tiki bar.

The condition of the rental was excellent and provided plenty of room for our group of 12. We were very satisfied and would book the rental again. The owner was very friendly and helpful which made the stay much more enjoyable. Shiela provided excellent service but there was confusion on check in probably due to our misunderstanding. The best part of the trip was the many activities that Oahu offered. Hawaii is a great place to vacation.

- "Immaculate, beautifully appointed, words can’t describe how much 18 people enjoyed the accommodations and each other. Probably the best vacation we’ve ALL had." - "We stayed at this property as a family reunion of 7 couples. Overall it was much better than expected, and perfect for our group. So relaxing and peaceful on the water, and nice to come home to after running around all day on Oahu. I would highly recommend this property." - "This place is stunning. One thing to note: there are 3 bedrooms upstairs in the Manor, 2 with on suites that include the potty, shower, vanities. The 3rd bedroom only has a potty and vanity. No shower or tub so guests staying in that room have to share with one of the others guests. Also, the estate only has one bathtub in the entire place, which is in one of the master suites upstairs in the Manor. So, if you’ve got small kiddos needing to bath, they also have to share with the guest staying in the master suite upstairs. Also during our stay, we hired a chef to come in and cook for us one night and while they were preparing the meal the stove ran out of gas. Luckily we had rented the other houses too so they were able to move to one of the houses with an electric stove. Last thing, the hot tub stopped working the last night we were there. Other than these things we really enjoyed our stay."
