Welcome to our high floor corner unit with an amazing view. It is what you expect from the pictures and the discription but only better. These are the words from our guests so to be belived. This unit had kitchen and bathrooms recently renovated as well as the main area floor. The condo itself is tastefully decorated and comes with all of the creature comforts of home. It is a one bedroom corner unit, with a king size bed, writing table, wall mounted TV, large walk-in closet with an en suite bathroom. Additional sleeping (queen sized bed) is provided by a new soft leather pull out couch located in the living room with a half bath in the main living space.
Our linen and towels are high quality that are sure to enhance your comfort.
The unit has its own washer and dryer, dishwasher, and 2 separate air conditioning units. Home cooking is a vital part of our life and as such, we have made sure to stock the kitchen just like back home, with ample knives, cutting boards, quality pots and pans, salad spinners, bakeware, cookware etc. While cooking your supper after a long day on the beach, enjoy the sounds of the ocean while enjoying the fabulous view. With our luxurious high top table and chairs on the lanai, enjoy your dinner while watching the beautiful sunset. This is also a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast, and a great place to count the number of turtles surfacing in the bay. If you wish to watch the sunrise, simply head out to the walkway on the other side of building (immediately out the front door of the unit) and watch the sunrise over the Makaha Valley Mountains. The unit comes complete with big screen smart TV, cable and free upgraded wifi and an additional smart TV in the bedroom. You won't be disappointed!

LOCATION:
This property is on the west coast of Oahu in Wai'anae, away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. The weather is less humid, less rainy and has more sunshine than other parts of the island. This weather lends itself to some of the clearest, cleanest waters on the island of Oahu.
This CORNER unit is located on a higher floor of the Hawaiian Princess condo building and overlooks a deserted 1 km stretch of breathtaking beach on Lahilahi point (turtle point). Our condominium is one of only a few buildings that are built right on the beach with the Pacific Ocean right off the door stop of the building. It is "Oahu's Best Kept Secret" as most travellers and many locals are not familiar with this spectacular beach. Once there many guests become repeat travellers to our condo.

LOCAL AND COMMON AMENITIES:
There is always room on the nearly deserted beach, a beach which words can do no justice (see attached pictures). The area is great for snorkeling (lots of fish, turtles, and more), swimming, or just playing around in the waves. Every day, you will see tourist boats troll the shores in search of whales...yes, this means you will see whales breaching the surface of the water from the comfort of the beach or your lanai. If you are looking for adrenaline pumping excitement, then look no further as the surf can get fairly large at times as the adjacent beach (Makaha beach) routinely holds surfing competitions. You can rent surf boards, boogie boards, bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. from the local shops (5 minutes away) and can take surf lessons at the nearby army beach. There are options close by where the waves are tame (due to a breakwater) and the water is shallow (Pokai Beach) if you are traveling with little ones, or if you want to venture a little further away (20 minute drive), check out the lagoons located at the Disney Resort at Ko Olina. There are nearby hikes (i.e. mountain ranges, flatland hike to Albatross breeding ground), reasonably priced golf courses and many other local treasures to enjoy (i.e. restaurants, deep sea fishing, etc.). If you wish to do any major sight seeing, everything is only a car ride away (i.e. Hanauma Bay, sky diving, paragliding, etc.).

The grounds boast a beautiful refurbished pool deck and hot tub surrounded by new chaise lounges where you can bask in the sun if you want a break from the beach and surf. There is a tennis court or pickle ball court open to all guests and a common barbecue area (with 2 large large Weber Grills), complete with picnic benches and tables.

- "Our overall impression of the property was amazing! Seriously view was breathtaking, sunsets were beautiful and out of this world! The beach was calm, and there was hardly anybody ever on the beach. Even in the heat of the day there was never more than 30 people on Makaha Beach, a 300 ft to 400 ft beach with light yellow gold sand and aqua blue and turquoise waters. And with the beach as your backyard, especially a beach like that, everything was perfect!! The shower was a little bit small, the pocket doors to the bathrooms were a little bit awkward. I'm a big guy so maybe that's just me. It's not Ritz-Carlton as it is in a fairly regular working class neighborhood. Since I'm working class that didn't bother me. It's also fair to say that Waimea as it's share of homeless, but I did not see any on the property or adjacent to the property. I did see some encampments driving along the highway for approaching the turn into the complex most of them are along the other beaches close to the area but not the beach that the resort is on. Let's just say this I've stayed in many hotels on beaches around the world but very few had such a quiet and pristine Beach as a one that this property is on. Makaha Beach was again amazing!"

When the trade winds are in you get a nice breeze. The Leeward (West) side of the island is the sunniest most of the time on the island

- "My husband and I traveled to Oahu for my cousin’s wedding in Kapolei so we were looking for a location close by but away from the busyness of Wakiki area and not expensive as Kapolei area. We came across Shelley’s condo and fell in love with the pictures and location. Let me tell you the pictures do not do the gorgeous view and location justice! It was so nice coming off a long flight to rest in a clean and comfortable place. The AC units were great at helping to cool the place and surprisingly the queen bed was comfortable and that’s saying something because my husband and I have a purple brand mattress at home and we love our bed so much we were worried the bed wouldn’t be comfortable but that didn’t happen. Shelley was also super sweet and had great communication throughout out stay and even emailed us a list of things to do and see. We will definitely be back because we loved our stay!"

Our recently remodeled and upgraded 4th floor units in the Hawaiian Princess at Makaha are one of the most sought after and revisited vacation destination on Oahu's west side. The west side of Oahu is known as the dryer and sunnier side of the island resulting in some of the clearest and cleanest waters on the island of Oahu. These clear blue waters provide an ideal backdrop for photography, sunbathing, beachcombing, snorkeling, diving, bodyboarding, surfing, kayaking, boating, hiking or simply relaxing on the lanai. Makaha is located approximately 40 minutes from the airport by car and 60 minutes west from the hustle and bustle of the state capital Honolulu and the famous Waikiki Beach. Most of the other major tourist attractions are an easy day trip away. Come and stay at the beach in this local rural community of Makaha. The Hawaiian Princess is one of only a few condos that are built right on the beach with the Pacific Ocean at your door step. Our units faces the ocean with 180 degree view of this white sandy beach, clear blue ocean and the historic Lahilahi Point. The fabulous views, spectacular sunsets, sounds of the waves, tropical trade winds and the close proximity to the beach makes this a perfect place to enjoy Hawaii's casual life style. Enjoy paradise, relax with the tropical trade winds, and play all day at the beach. Marine life is abundant in this cove known locally as "turtle cove". Daily sightings of turtles, dolphins, whales (in season), monk seals, schools of fish, and more can be seen from your private lanai. You might even see the turtles on the beach being warmed by the sun.

This recently upgraded 1 bedroom /1 bathroom units can accommodate up to 4 persons and can be adjoined with our other unit next door creating a 2 bedroom and 2 bath accommodations. This combination of both units has been very popular with couples traveling together or larger families requiring the extra space. The unit has everything that you will need with fully equipped kitchen, linens, and beach gear. We have tried to think of everything for your comfort. We have free internet in the unit, smart TV in living rooms and bedrooms, newly created desk area to accommodate electronics and office work, large front loading washers and dryers, upgraded mattresses in each bedroom and art work of local artists throughout the units. Repeat guests are a norm at both our units. Guests have been returning here year after year which confirms this is truly a "special place".

The condo was clean and you felt very secure. The only issue is you are a long way from Honolulu and activities. The traffic moves smoothly but is heavy. We drove about an hour each way to do our activities. If you do t mind the drive or just looking for a place to relax on the beach or on the Lanai I would highly recommend it."

This condo sits right on the beach. 850 square feet inside the condo, and 400 square feet of lanai space, for a total of 1,250 sq feet.
Watch turtles, dolphins and in the winter, whales from your private lanai. Open up the windows and let the tropical breeze and the sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep on our super comfy gel foam bed. NOTE: This part of the island is a mixture of socio-economic backgrounds. We have multimillion dollar homes mixed with lower income housing and unfortunately, some homeless camps. There are camps on the west side because of the great weather, but there are homeless all over the island, especially in the big city. The average price of a home is well over a million dollars here. That prices a lot of people out of paradise. We are a gated and secure building. Most people leave their lanai doors open 24/7 to let the breeze come in and to hear the sights and sounds of the ocean. Just as an FYI, we live in the area, and we have never had an incident related to the homeless, except maybe someone holding a sign looking for a meal or a couple of dollars.

ALOHA, this beautiful, white sandy beach front home is located, right in front of Turtle Cove Beach. Not to mention, that it is also close to the world famous Makaha Surf Beach. Of course all the beaches on the West side are beautiful and is one of Oahu's best kept secrets. Our condo is a perfect get-away, vacation. You can hear the waves coming into the shore all night long and sometimes you may wake up to see large Sea Turtles or Dolphins swimming around. You might even see a sleepy seal sharing our sandy beach, in the early morning hours. During the months of November through April, yields an opportunity to see Whales, just beyond the surf. The Makaha Valley Towers is located in the scenic Makaha Valley and is minutes away from Makaha Surfing Beach. The area is known for its quiet, relaxed atmosphere. There are several restaurants in the area, 2 grocery stores, fast food eateries, a Planet Fitness Gym, etc. The complex amenities include, central air, heated swimming pool, bbq area, 24-hr security. It is a non-smoking building, near hiking and bus paths. Minutes from world famous Makaha Surfing Beach. Pay per use laundry facility and trash chutes on each floor.

Makaha Is roughly 20 minutes away from Kapolei or better known as the "Second City". There you can find finer dining, movies, Costco, Target, Walmart and all the other "Big" name stores. There is also an open mall called Kamakana Ali'i.

There is a fee of $85 per month for parking. A required refundable deposit of $100 for the parking decal is also due at orientation. The fee will be refunded to you when you leave.

This property may not be rented for less than 30 consecutive days. Rental prices will not be reduced or adjusted based on the number of days the rental is actually used or occupied.

Recently remodeled 350 sq ft fully equipped and private studio is decorated in a relaxed eclectic beachy vibe. You'll love the brand new vinyl sliding lanai doors which are sound reducing and insulating. New AC and high efficiency ceiling fan keeps the unit nice and cool. Bedroom has blackout curtains. Sleeping arrangements are a Queen size tempur pedic bed with storage drawers. Pack and Play crib available on request.
