Feel at home the moment you step into A311, our recently remodeled condo, Aloha Kai. Look right as you enter the front door and you’ll instantly see why you came to Molokai—the stunning view across the ocean channel of neighbor islands Maui, Kaho’olawe and Lana’i. Palms swaying just off your lanai, the ocean lapping the shore a mere 50 feet away, and the sounds of tropical birds welcome you to your island experience. Perfectly located on the top floor of A Building, Aloha Kai (A311) provides a wonderful place to land in this Hawaiian paradise (even if there are no elevators on Molokai, it's worth the ascent from the parking lot).

Inside you’ll find all the comforts of home (and then some). Included is a fully appointed living room with two modern recliners, a 43” 4K HD TV (with cable/internet, blu-ray dvd player, and an additional HDMI/USB connections for other devices), plenty of comfortable seating, and a sweet little secretary desk. There’s a fully-equipped modern kitchen complete with current appliances and cookware, blender and coffee maker (even a separate USB charging station!). The bathroom offers a soothing rain shower head in the private bath apart from a separate vanity area. In the bedroom is a king size Leesa Legend hybrid memory-foam bed, a large closet and plenty of dresser storage. Blackout curtains on the windows afford full privacy; louvered windows allow in the refreshing trade winds (and a gorgeous view of the mountains above).

Outside is 5 acres of well-kept tropical landscape which includes a large oceanfront pool (with huge cabana and gas BBQ’s). An extensive lawn invites you to stroll alongside one of the ancient fish ponds on Molokai, while several benches allow you to leisurely catch the stunning sunrises and sunsets by yourself or with others. During whale season in the winter months, there can be some spectacular viewing right from the lanai. (We've provided binoculars.)

And that’s just Wavecrest! The rest of Molokai awaits—from the swimming and snorkeling beaches scattered along the way to the east end and Halawa Valley (with its waterfalls, guided cultural hikes and more—check their website) to heading back to Kaunakakai (with its local businesses, farmers market and craftspeople) and past it to the west end (with Hawaii’s longest white sand beach, Papohaku). It felt like a home away from home, with all the extra touches throughout the home. I can’t wait to go back! Everyone was friendly, and the neighbors were so kind too. It was quite and so peaceful. The check-in was simple, the parking was easy, and Sheila was an amazing host! She communicated a lot better than we did! I’m so thankful we got to stay in her home. Thank you Sheila! Everything we needed was provided and the home was decorated so nicely. Very clean too! It was so beautiful! Can’t wait to go back! There is a Sandy beach steps from her home. If you don’t like the beach there is a pool. Literally, the best views and the breezes went throughout the entire home. Plenty of beautiful ceiling fans too. This is rare on Molokai!"

The 2nd floor A building location is by far the best in all of Wavecrest. Closest to the water, less noise / more private than first floor, below the palm fronds for the best views. Also, you can see the pool from the lanai to decide when to go.

We have our own dedicated wifi, so you don't have to share bandwidth with the rest of the condo. Excellent cell reception as well.

Updated kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need. Even though our favorite restaurant on the entire island is just down the road.

Living room has just the right amount of furniture to be comfortable but not cramped. The couch has a hide-a-bed and there is a new full thickness queen murphy bed in a custom cabinet. Wake up to the ocean views and sounds of the waves.

New lanai furniture offers waterside dining options and lounging / napping comfort as well.

New king bed and all new bedding make for restful nights.

We have a complete beach kit (snorkels, chairs, cooler, boogie boards, etc), pickleball paddles and Roku streaming, games, puzzles, etc for after dark relaxing.

Come to Molokai to enjoy natural beauty, quiet relaxation, great traditional hawaiian food and to see what the other islands used to be like.

We are happy to say that Molokai does not have a bunch of fancy restaurants, nightlife, shopping centers, or a ton of tourist activities. If that's what you are looking for, you'll find it on the other islands.

We are licensed with the State of Hawaii to offer our truck for rent. If the condo is available, then the truck is available! If rented, the truck will be waiting for you at the airport - even if your flight is delayed!

Rare find - Wavecrest’s only ground floor, 2 bedroom 2 unobstructed ocean view lanais unit on the unique island of Molokai. Private washer and dryer in the unit are an added bonus. Wavecrest is on the East end of Molokai which is the most tropical on the island. All the comforts of home make this an experience of relaxation coupled with adventure. Pool, BBQ, tennis and more.

Extremely clean and fully equipped kitchen with custom cherry cabinets, high-end dishes and other amenities, the condo has its own private washer and dryer in the unit. Travertine tile floors, slab granite countertops throughout and an oversized travertine tile shower make this a luxurious experience.

Please be aware that the only way to get to Molokai is via Molukele Airlines from Honolulu or Maui OGG. The ferry has not been going to Molokai for at least six years.

The lanai has a full size comfortable couch, table and chairs to enjoy whale watching, sunrise,sunsets and stars stars stars. The Resort includes ocean front pool, shuffle board, cabana house for getting out of the tropical sun for a few minutes with outdoor grills, and tennis/pickleball courts. We have beach chairs, towels, umbrella, and mask and fins available for use in the condo.
Our condo is a one Bedroom ocean view unit has a comfy pullout sofa bed couch for extra sleeping or napping.
We offer fully equipped kitchen including everything for making a chef inspired meal for eating in, all new appliances and amenities with both K-cup or drip coffee pots and the latest device charging stations. A coin or credit/debit Laundry room very reasonably priced is available on each floor of the building. Unfortunately our in unit washer is out of order due to out of balance on shipment to Molokai, using it could result in complaints from the residents.
We provide high speed internet and Fire TV for streaming shows, or bring your own streaming device (hdmi cords provided).

Wavecrest Resort rests on the East side of Molokai, the most richly forested part of the island. It is where you will see Kamakou, Molokai’s highest mountain and 28 miles of Hawaii’s longest continuous fringing reef. Leave the windows open and the trade winds will keep you cool naturally.

Feel at peace seeing the sunset and stars from your lanai or one the many seating areas on the grounds of this quiet and friendly rural community. During certain times of the year you can whale watch from the Cabana or any number of benches overlooking the ocean.

The easiest way to fly to Molokai is to take a commercial airline to either Honolulu (HNL) or Maui (OGG). I prefer flying into Maui because it's a much smaller airport than Honolulu so its easy to find your way, plus, when you hop to Molokai from Maui, you fly around the north side of Molokai, where you can see absolutely stunning views of the sea cliffs and waterfalls. The only way to see the north side of the island is by plane or boat. Be sure to sit on the left side of the plane when arriving to Molokai if you hop from Maui. From either Honolulu or Maui, you'll need to take a hop to Molokai on Mokulele Airlines. Mokulele is the only airline that books these inter-island hops.

- "Clean and well kept condo close to the town of Kaunakakai. Lovely sunsets." - "Everything about Lori & Peggy's condo was perfect! This was our 2nd time to visit Molokai, because we love it! The condo is in its own separate serene paradise setting, with a direct view of the gorgeous grounds and the ocean, yet only a convenient 5 minute drive to the main part of Kaunakakai. There are plenty of other units to rent, but this unit is top notch. Everything has been upgraded and it is full of all the amenities of a home away from home as well as many personal touches. We appreciated the 2 folding beach chairs, the pair of beach towels and the small cooler, for the times we spent our afternoons at the beach! Keep in mind that there is no A/C in the unit, but there are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. There is also a tower fan. When we asked the owners if they might have a 2nd tower fan available, they were very quick to ask their neighbor, who lives in the B building, to loan us her tower fan. We spent every morning of our 10 night stay, sipping coffee and taking in the beautiful view from the lanai. Usually in the afternoons, we would hang out at the pool, which was never crowded. We truly enjoyed staying in this unit and appreciate the owners for allowing us to stay and for their great communication. We will definitely be back!"

- "We had such a lovely stay here, the owner really thought of everything. The location is close to restaurants and grocery stores. The AC was definitely a bonus and the wifi worked great for logging onto work. I liked the fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There are many quirky features to adjust to. Needlessly complex for a rental unit, motion sensitive on/off for the kitchen faucet, and the lighting with dimmer that was more complex than on/off dim. Table lamp upstairs required tapping the base to control on/off/light level. Previous user had loosened the bulb to turn off, took me searching for a button to stumble on the base touch control. I am not an experienced VRBO user and did not check in with the property manager when I arrived, not sure that I was instructed to, but it wasn't a problem, did check out. I was not there to watch TV, but I did hope to catch an NBA playoff game, the TV in the master bedroom was not functional, Roku requesting an email and payment. The living room did not have the YoutubeTV app, asked for a Roku Pin to download. Limited channels, no ESPN, TNT, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS. The local property manager was contacted, but they were in transit and asked us to contact the owner. The owner could not address the problem, wasn't sure if they had a Roku account, both TV's are Roku TVs. I watched the game I wanted to on my personal tablet, ok wi-fi. Suggest: Nightstand with lamps for upstairs beds. Better handrail for steps, carpeted, steep, narrow tread, odd rise on first and last step, require extra care navigating."

High end furnishings from Oahu and the classic Eames style chairs I brought over from the mainland. The artwork by Tom Everhart to honor our veterans is also quite special and hung in a hangar at the Charles Schulz Airport in Santa Rosa, CA.

Queen size bed with Beautyrest mattress and Cozy Earth linens to keep your temperature regulated in all of the weather variations. We only use real fibers. Cotton, Linen, or Bamboo... all organic materials and the best for those who want the best. A body's gotta breathe, friend! You will not find any polyester at the Rainbow Retreat.

The sofa is also a queen sleeper that doesn't have the infamous "bar" in the middle. Yes, I chose this on purpose. If I won't sleep on it, then I won't expect you too, either. By the way, I am extraordinarily particular about beds and bedding. It's a bit of an obsession.
Guest access
The entire ground floor condo is yours. :) Enjoy the lunch grounds, the swimming pool, the small sandy beach that should be (and might be) in a movie scene, tennis / pickleball courts (we have a set of rackets and balls for you) and cabana which is chock full of good books into which to dive and BBQ area. We are on the ground floor with easy access through the front door or the slider if you need a wider space for any assistance device.

- "We had a dreamy stay at Pu'u O Hoku Ranch! We really enjoyed slowing down and enjoying each other's company in a beautiful setting. Coming from the hustle and bustle of Oahu, it was exactly what we were looking for. We spent countless hours hanging out by the lodge pool and soaking up the old Hawai'i vibe. The convenience of farm-to-table meals prepared by the ranch team was ideal. The local venison, beef, and veggies were delicious. Our kids loved having breakfast together then heading out to their bee tour, farm tour, hike, or horseback ride. - "The property was very nice and well managed (many people on the island told us it was the best on the island). There was a little bit of a dampness problem (the bedroom smelled a little bit moldy or something), but I think its because they are overwatering the garden right outside the bedroom. The space was clean and very comfortable. We did not rent a car for our trip and I would say that was a mistake. Highly recommend renting a car. We did make do with the local bus and walking, but we would have seen more of the island without that limitation."
