Our 2012 4-door automatic Hyundai car gets 38-40 MPG is available for an additional price and will be parked at the airport. We are liscenced with the state of Hawaii for our rental car. It is paid to me seperately and includes tax and fees and is at the airport at noon the day of your arrival. The island of Molokaʻi, is also known as the "Friendly Island". There is only one airport (MKK) in Hoʻolehua. Be informed that car rentals are limited. There are approximately 1,000 tourists on any given day and 288 vehicles at last count. As others have said, half the complex is boarded up and half is being used which suited us well as this meant we had the beach to ourselves for multiple days. Recomend just making your meals in the condo, there is everything you need including sauces and oils (kine leftovers from other guests so obviously changing). Car is definitely an island car but can't beat the price! We had a few issues but Vickie was very quick to respond and help out. This is not the place for you if you need to be waited on constantly (maybe try Oahu not Molokai) but if you like peace, exploring off the beaten path and empty beaches, this is it!"

Hale Kamaluhia, Hawaiian for House of Serenity is our tropical retreat on the West coast of Molokai. Our desirable second floor condo has vaulted ceilings and an unobstructed view of Papohaku Beach, one of the longest white sand beaches in Hawaii.
Hale Kamaluhia is our passion and we want guests to feel like they are coming to a cherished family retreat. We strive to provide most of what you might need except for food and clothing. For your convenience we have provided beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, a small cooler, small beverage cooler, snorkel gear, tennis rackets, and binoculars for whale watching in the Winter months. You will find our kitchen fully stocked with starter coffee, tea, spices, etc.
You may read past reviews about guests renting our vehicles, but because we no longer live on Molokai, we no longer have vehicles to rent.
Our condo can accommodate 4 guests but only when the reservation is for 3 adults & 1 child or 2 adults & 2 children, as the 4th accommodation is a folding futon.

Our 1000-square-foot (includes lanai) one-bedroom vacation rental condominium is located overlooking the eighth fairway of the Kaluakoi Golf Course (closed 4/2008) with unspoiled views of Pãpõhaku Beach (three-mile beach), Kepuhi Bay, the natural terrain, and those famous Hawaiian Sunsets and spectacular moon settings. This downstairs (no stairs) unit offers one of the best views in Ke Nani Kai. These views can be enjoyed from the lanai, kitchen, living room/dining room, or the bedroom while standing, sitting, or stretching out!

The luxury vinyl flooring throughout is great for those with allergies/sensitivities to carpet and dust mites. And, SLEEP COMFORTABLY on a queen-size mattress in the bedroom. This mattress is so comfortable that if someone tosses and turns all night, the other person never knows it! And, if you leave your drapes open at night, you will wake up to the sight of Kepuhi Bay and the moon setting!

Granite kitchen with a REVERSE OSMOSIS filtered drinking water system and FILTERED WATER ICE-MAKER installed and maintained for your health and safety. No more buying bottled water! All major kitchen appliances are new or newer and include a glass-top stove, quiet dishwasher, large microwave, and a refrigerator with a built-in ice maker. GE compact size front loading, stackable washer/dryer is also right in your unit.

Our unit is ABUNDANTLY AND ELEGANTLY furnished with all of the comforts of home. In addition to all linens, bath robes and pool/beach towels, OUR UNIT IS FULLY STOCKED with trash bags, hand dishwashing soap, dishwasher detergent, cleaning supplies, ziplock baggies, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, paper napkins, paper plates, plastic silverware for picnics, coffee filters, cooking spray, spices, sugar and Sweet & Low, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise for your stay.

We also provide liquid hand soap for the kitchen and bath. You will find a small supply of toilet paper and paper towels. All of these items are included in the cost of your rental at no extra charge! Cleaning supplies and equipment are also found in the unit. Longer stay visitors are reimbursed for any additional cleaning supplies purchased during their stay.

We use our unit several times each year and it is fully equipped and it is waiting for you to call it 'home' during your stay.

Rose is super helpful and easy to reach, which is very important if you are new to Hawai'i !"

A 16-minute walk from Papohaku Beach in Maunaloa, Ocean-View Condo with Pool in Maunaloa! provides accommodations with access to a hot tub. The Kawakiu Beach is within 1.8 miles of the apartment. Free Wifi is available throughout the property and Kepuhi Beach is a 7-minute walk away. The apartment consists of 1 bedroom, 2 living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a coffee machine, and 1 bathroom with an a bath or shower and free toiletries. Towels and bed linen are provided in the apartment. The property offers sea views. Molokai Airport is 11 miles away.

The Condo: This is a one-of-kind 2nd floor, 565 sq.ft. ocean view condo with to-die-for sunsets. Open floor plan with loft. hard wood floors, granite counter tops, 1 queen master bedroom and 1 double bed in loft. In condo washer and dryer. Fully supplied kitchen with all new appliances, high speed internet and cable TV.

The Location: Located a short distance from the parking lot for convenient loading and unloading your groceries and travel items. From the lanai you see a sweeping landscape of palm tree studded lawn, the Pacific shoreline and breathtaking sunsets.

Getting Around: Included in the rate is a 2016 front wheel drive Ford Escape which you pick up at, and returned to, the Molokai airport. Please no off road driving.

Except for your groceries most everything you'll need for a comfortable and relaxing stay is here and waiting for you.
