Very functional house located in a very quiet residential area under the pines, 300 meters from the typical Menorcan cove of Cala Canutells, a pedestrian path starts in front of the house and takes you there directly. On site you will find a grocery store, a bar restaurant facing the beach, which offers fresh fish according to the season. A car and scooter rental agency is located at the end of the street. Tennis courts can be found also nearby. The GR 223 (cami de cavalls or coastal path) passes nearby. The house has a very pleasant covered and naturally ventilated porch where you can take all your meals sheltered from the sun.

- "Overall we loved this property. We've stayed in Menorca 5 times now, and we'd consider this the best villa yet. From a family point of view, the rooms were spacious enough that we could set up travel cots for the two infants, whilst still having space for their older siblings. The pool, being gated off, meant we as parents didn't need to worry. The baby pool being partially separated from the adult pool meant the younger ones were safe but still part of the fun. The little supermarket 3 mins down the road had all the necessities for feeding kids at short notice, as we didn't rent a car. And the beach down the road was equally safe (as mentioned in other reviews). From the adult's point of view, we were surprised how good it was. The extra depth in the swimming pool meant we could practice diving with the spare equipment onsite. The little supermarket was equipped enough that we could make a range of meals for ourselves without needing to drive anywhere. The bus and taxi options meant we could get to Mahon quickly if we wanted to. The restaurant by the beach was far better than we'd expected from some of the reviews, with a genuinely good paella (plus other seafood options). We really enjoyed it, would absolutely go back a second time. Whilst hiring a car makes this place even better, it certainly isn't a requirement. I think there were only two negatives that took us by surprise: 1. the mosquitos. because this isn't really a resort village in the way that eg Son Bou, Cala en Bosc, etc are, there's no wide spread spraying for mosquitos, and so there are large numbers of them; they are too small to see often, and silent. whilst we had mosquito repellent plugins in each room, some of us were bitten over 50 times, with v nasty bites that took 2 weeks to fade. 2. tap water. we were only informed by the owner a couple of days in advance not to drink the tap water. this isn't something we've found in other villas, and frankly I'm not sure the owner's right about it - we used the tap water to make ice and no-one had any ill effects. there's 6L bottles of water available from the little supermarket, and it wasn't a massive hassle, we'd just have preferred to know further in advance. otherwise an entirely positive time."

The kitchen is very well equipped with large fridge, electric hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher with plenty of cutlery and crockery for large parties. There is also a good quality espresso coffee machine. The kitchen opens directly onto the covered terrace. There is also a washing machine, drying racks, iron and ironing board

The open plan living/dining room has a high, beamed ceiling and open fire-place with full-length glass doors opening onto the covered terrace and providing lovely views of Mahon harbour. This room is furnished with a pine table and dresser and arm-chairs around the traditional fireplace.

The master bedroom is on the same (upper) floor as the kitchen/dining/living rooms. It is has a king size double bed with en-suite bathroom, power shower and dressing area with plenty of storage space. There are stunning views over the harbour.

Downstairs, there are 4 further bedrooms and an open-plan living area with sofas and further storage cupboards.

Bedroom 5, has twin beds which can be joined together and made up as a kingize double bed. It has glass doors to the private side terrace as well as an en-suite bathroom with shower.

There is off-street parking for one or two cars.

The swimming pool which can be heated outside the peak summer months is surrounded by a terrace with views to the sea and plenty of sun-loungers. There is a separate terrace to the side of the property so there is always somewhere to bask in the sun.

The views across Mahon were lovely and the communication was brilliant. Anything we needed to know Jo responded with answers and information. Country house with private pool is rented in menorca for weeks with capacity for 8 people. located in a very quiet area near mahón and south coast beaches such as binibeca, punta prima, binisafuller. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms all on the ground floor (above is closed). It has a living room with satellite TV, kitchen with dishwasher, laundry room with washing machine, living room and hall. It has closets in all the rooms and in one of marriage it has a safe.
Outside there is a patio with table and umbrella and a barbecue. the pool of 8 x 4 m. It has a terrace with sun loungers and umbrella surrounded by typical woodland. It has ample car parking. The house is delivered with sheets and towels and there is the possibility of house cleaning, towels and sheets once a week on demand for stays longer than one week.

- "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa. The location is fantastic… about a 25 minute walk from the centre of Mahon so peaceful but very close to amenities. Villa has a rustic charm… the pool is clean and very welcome after a morning stroll into the centre. The only recomendation I would make is if the host could leave a little welcome basket, some salt and pepper and hand soap would be fab!" - "The house has a simple charm about it and it very much connects to it's original history of being a farmhouse for a large farm. This means the layout of the house is unusually adapted to be for larger groups to stay, with a central bedroom with only internal windows, but it allows it to keep it's authenticity. The pool is great, particularly for children, although you can not see the pool from the house at all. Plus there is not much shade around the pool. There are lots of nice areas to sit around the house with different views, and plenty of chairs. A very cool large bbq area close to the kitchen too. The kitchen is quite basic, which goes with the rustic charm but could get a little frustrating if catering for larger groups. This is the only house I have stayed in that keeps a countryside feeling yet you can easily walk into the centre of Mahon in 20-25minutes which is a real plus. There are no neighbours nearby so if you have noisy children playing in the pool there is no need to worry. Overall a lovely authentic house with good amenities and close to Mahon. "

The gated patio area meant we did not need to worry about our two year old roaming anywhere near the pool. Kitchen small but does the job. Good bbq area outside. E prepared to buy all the essentials - dishwasher tablets, loo rolls, bin liners, foil, soap, etc. We left loads for future occupants but there was nothing much for us so I’m not sure if goodwill gestures are carried forward. All in all, we highly recommend this villa for a great family holiday."
