- "The hotel is very tranquil in the most perfect position. 5 min walk in one direction takes you to the restaurants and bars of central Cala d'Or, 10 mins in the other direction is the swanky Marina with its bars and restaurants. The hotel basically has its own beach attached, which is a sheltered cove and very pretty and the pool area is extremely nice. The service was excellent and I particularly liked being served a fruit skewer each morning as I dozed by the pool. Couldn't recommend it highly enough for those wanting a relaxing break."

The food was excellent everyday with a good selection of salads, fruits, vegetables and meat options to suit all requirements, we were all inclusive and when we’ve been all inclusive before we’ve tended to eat out of the hotel to mix things up a bit, but we didn’t this time as the food was so good. The all inclusive alcohol options are very good also, plenty of choice of cocktails, spirts and beers. We stayed in a superior interconnected room with a sea view, the view was amazing and room and everything we needed, it was cleaned promptly everyday and toiletries were replenished. All in all we had a lovely week and would definitely visit again, hotel, staff and surroundings were excellent. "

- "Just returned from a week at the Alua Suites and had a wonderful time with our five year old. The location is spectacular, with incredible views of the ocean, and plenty of amenities and beaches nearby. A great base if you want to explore the island, but equally enough to keep families occupied on site. We did day trips over to Deia and Valdemossa as well as the Saturday market at Satanyi, all of which were incredible and easy if you have a car. We thought the accomodation was good, if a little tired around the edges, but the lack of adequate air conditioning was a big problem (not ideal, being pregnant!). However, the staff arranged for fans in our room which definitely helped make sleeping easier. For a resort at the top end of the market, I wouldn't expect to struggle for good air conditioning, honestly. I really hope this is rectified some time soon! This aside, we loved the experience. The pools were fantastic (we especially loved the small one across the road from the main site) and the kids entertainment was fantastic. Our little girl absolutely loved the Animators and danced her socks off at the minidisco each evening. Truly magical! Huge shout out to Ricky and the girls - you are all amazing. The food was fantastic, great selection and really loved the fact that each evening had a theme. Missing Alua Suites already and can't wait to return one day!"

The air conditioning had fell down on the floor. One night lamp was missing, the other lamps was stained and rusty. The fire alarm was beeping etc. So we got a new apartment, just as bad. The kitchen was so dirty we didn’t even use it. It was rusty and dusty, it also attracted bugs. The air conditioner didn’t work. We let reception know about the air conditioner not working, the fridge was a freezer, and how dirty the place was. They didn’t clean it and didn’t fix it. They also didn’t compensate us or did anything to help at all really. We were met with an annoyed condescending manager and helpless employees. The cue in reception is about 30min to an hour long no matter what time of day you go there. Would not recommend."
