I know this is down to the owners of the dog and not the management of the pub, but perhaps a gentle word could have been had asking for the dog to be placed on the floor. No doubt dog owners will moan at me for this comment, but I really don't think it appropriate for a dog to be on a table in a restaurant. Additionally I am allergic to dogs so have to be careful around them. However, in summary we had a lovely time at the Horse and Groom and the issue with the dog wouldn't put us off coming again.
