- "Lovely staff, checked in and room cosy and warm. " - "What a wonderful and charming hotel! A perfect location and we had a great view of the Abbey from our room (room 2). There is noise from traffic outside as the hotel is on a main road but this is reflected in the excellent price and didn’t bother us at all. Parking is free which is a great perk when visiting a city and the staff are so courteous and efficient. The breakfast is super tasty and made from local produce. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back. Thanks to all for making our anniversary stay so special. "

You'll find Orchard Cottage down a quiet village lane that leads only to the church, St Margaret of Antioch. The cottage sits opposite the church and its pretty churchyard, with a gravel parking area to the front and side. It's the kind of home a child might draw, with its double frontage and path leading up to the front door and two dormer windows above.
The outside view belies what's inside: a spacious, three-bedroom holiday home. The ground floor has plenty of space for guests to spread out and have their own corner, with a fabulously equipped, central kitchen that has an island big enough to seat five for breakfast while one person cooks! Walk one way out of the kitchen to the living room, where there's a lovely wood burning stove, or the other way into a sunny and botanical-themed dining room. Head back to the kitchen where you'll find a utility area and cloakroom. On the first floor are three well-proportioned, individually styled bedrooms, each comfortably sleeping two guests, and two bathrooms (one ensuite).
To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed and secluded patio and a large garden that's laid to lawn and surrounded by mature trees. The dining room and living room both have French windows that open out to the patio where guests will find a rattan sofa and dining table, and a separate bistro-style table and chairs for two. On a sunny day, the patio is flooded with sunshine from morning to early afternoon, while the garden is the place to head to for the afternoon and evening sunshine, which can be enjoyed from deckchairs. Or why not spread out with a picnic blanket and watch the children, or bigger kids, play some garden games? There's plenty of space for a game of badminton or perhaps some croquet.
*Dogs: 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage at an additional cost each. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog and we will then revise your booking confirmation. The pet fee is NOT included in your booking fee. A request for an additional fee per pet will be sent to you after you have placed your booking. Your pet fee must be paid for before your arrival date.
Ground Floor
Front Entrance:
Step through the front door into a handy little hallway with hooks for coats. Straight ahead are carpeted stairs with a looping rope handrail leading to the first floor while to the left is the living room and to the right is the kitchen. Throughout the ground floor there is beautiful oak flooring.
Kitchen & Breakfast Bar:
The striking and spacious family kitchen, with its unusual, pale-moss walls, is fully equipped from end-to-end with every appliance needed for a self-catering holiday. At the centre is a large island with a beautiful oak surface, providing a fabulous preparation area as well as a breakfast bar with five stools. To one side is a double sink with a boiling-water tap, a drinks station and a view across the lane to the church. To the other side a double oven, microwave, fridge and freezer sit within striking, charcoal grey units. To the rear of the kitchen a door opens to a utility room, the cloakroom and side door out to the parking area and garden, while another door opens to the dining room and an alternative route to the living room. The whole room has a feeling of openness and light, helped by the half wood-half-glass doors.
Utility Area:
The compact utility area houses a washer-dryer below a long wooden shelf. There are hooks for keys and dog leads and space for a doggie bed, bowl and treats. A door opens from here to the gravel drive. (This is the entrance most guests use to come and go.)
Cloakroom:
The cottage's handy ‘little' room has a toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail.
Dining Room:
At the back of the house is a pretty dining room, featuring soft, sage green walls and botanical prints, which pull the eye through to the garden beyond. A large, rectangular table with six chairs sits at the centre and French windows open out to the patio, making it easy to access for al fresco dining from both the kitchen and dining room.
Living Room:
The cosy living room features a contemporary inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove set in a striking yellow ochre feature wall. The room is furnished with a long, L-shaped sofa and large footstool, a pine coffee table chest and a 55” smart TV. You'll notice too, the horse artwork and horse head bust – a nod to the owners' daughter who is a professional jump jockey. French windows open out to the patio and garden. On a warm, sunny day you can open all the doors in the living room and dining room and bring the outside in.First Floor
Carpeted stairs with a looping, rope handrail lead up to the bedrooms and bathrooms:
Bedroom One:
This stylishly furnished and decorated master bedroom features a gorgeous, deep blue wall against which is a king-size bed on an oak frame, with bedside tables and glittering reading lamps to either side. The spa-like shower room features the same deep blue colourway, with polished limestone tiles and flooring. It has a walk-in shower, with rainfall and handheld shower heads, a washbasin with a mirror over and sensor lighting, a shaver point, a toilet, a heated towel rail and a custom-built, shaker-style storage unit. (Sensor lights come on at night, which avoids turning on the fan.)
Bedroom Two:

All the bedrooms have a super-soft, deep pile, silver grey carpet.

There's a toilet, washbasin in a vanity unit, a rotating mirror next to a shaver point and a lovely view out over the patio and garden. Sensor lights come on at night, which avoids the fan turning on and disturbing sleeping guests.Outside
To the rear of the cottage is a large patio with sofa seating, a dining table, and a bistro-style table with two chairs. Head up three stone steps from the patio to a deceptively large garden that's laid to lawn, with surrounding trees and bushes. Enjoy the afternoon and evening sunshine sat out on the deckchairs or stretch your legs and play some garden games. The patio and garden can be accessed through the dining room and living room (or via a side gate from the parking area), making it easy to take out drinks and food for al fresco dining. The area is secured with fencing and a gate and is therefore dog and child friendly. The cottage has off-road parking to the front and side of the cottage, with room for three cars.
- "Stayed here with 3 couples over New Year and it was perfect. Everything you want from a weekend in the Cotswolds. Decent pub 5 minutes walk away, opposite a beautiful church, log burning fire, nice well equipped kitchen and a sofa actually big enough to sit 6 people on. The bedrooms were very comfortable with good mattresses and the bathrooms very modern. Parking for 3 cars too. Honestly a real little gem and I am jealous of the owners having this as their future retirement home."

Our architect designed cottage will seduce you with its unfussy contemporary style, all wrapped up in an immense green oak aisle frame and fronted with an oversize porch.
Just the place to kick of your wellies/heels , before putting the kettle on the Aga or settling in front of the wood burning stove with a glass of wine. Windfall’s luxurious blend of old and new with sumptuous free standing baths and even its own baby suite, fully equipped for the youngest guest, is surrounded by its gated and completely safe cottage gardens.
Enjoy uninterrupted views South towards the Cotswold escarpment over our adjoining orchard, home to our ducks and hens — they may even lay you a few fresh eggs to enjoy at breakfast.
Designer built to ooze luxury; we think you’ll agree Windfall Cottage has buckets full of stunning good looks inside and out.
Our orchard is home to our hens and if you are lucky they will lay you an egg or two each day, as may our ducks watch out for our 2 farm yard Geese Posh and Becks!!
surrounded by apples, plums, gages and the famous Worcester Black Pear for you to enjoy in season and a great fun place for the alfresco giant Indian fire pit .
Lovingly crafted using more than 12 tonnes of sustainably grown green oak, all set over a natural and locally quarried Cotswold stone plinth - The interior is a blend of high quality natural oak and limestone floors and contemporary luxuries in the form of under floor heating, decadent free-standing baths, powerful showers and a stunning bespoke oak kitchen with Aga.
Parents with babies or toddlers in tow will particularly like the king-size master bedroom with its vaulted ceiling set into the oak aisle frame, luxury en-suite bathroom with walk in wet room shower and romantic free standing bath for two and its very own adjoining “baby suite”.
All bedrooms are equally but distinctively furnished with gorgeous Egyptian cotton linen, fluffy towels, digital flat screen TV’s and each have their own fabulous en-suite facilities.

- "We spent Christmas week here with some extended family. The house was large and nicely laid out. Everyone enjoyed getting to grips with the Aga and how lovely and warm it was. The chickens, ducks & geese were a real highlight! The house was warm, fully equipped and the bedding very nice. The owners are very kind and left us some nice treats. The TV in the main lounge area is newer and larger than the one in the photos so that was a nice surprise. A suggestion would be to add a wifi booster (you can get them fairly cheaply and just plug them in), that way the wifi signal would be strong enough for the rest of the house and also the lounge where the new smart TV is, making it so people could just sign into their own Netflix accounts etc. Everyone really enjoyed the holiday and the time away. Many thanks for a great stay!"

Summary:
Nestled amongst the peaceful Cotswolds’ countryside is this spacious family home for up to 8 guests. You’re a stones throw from the medieval market town of Tewkesbury and under 20 minutes away to some of the region’s most renowned villages: Broadway and Chipping Campden to name a few.
The Space:
The garden and grounds are impressive, with ample space for all to spread out and relax. Enjoy alfresco meals under the sun, using produce from the local farm shop, or soak under the stars from the comfort of your hot tub. With the French doors flung open on a warm summer’s day, you’ll feel like you’ve just landed in the heart of rural France.
Inside, the large kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need: utensils, dual ovens, a gas hob, a dishwasher and a coffee machine to boot. Light the fires on a chilly night and settle in with a board game or a film on the smart TV. Upstairs, find light and bright bedrooms that are not only quiet, but also boast pretty views of the leafy garden. As well as three double bedrooms, there is a twin room and an additional sofa bed downstairs should you wish to use it. They share a family bathroom as well as a WC downstairs. With private parking for four vehicles, Mayville is the perfect spot for a country group getaway full of peace and tranquillity. Dogs are welcome at the property (max 2).
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole house and garden.
The Neighborhood:
A short drive from the bustling Cotswold villages of Broadway and Chipping Campden, where you can savour delicious local produce and spend days exploring the shops, this home is deep in the heart of the ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. One of only forty-six regions with this title, The Cotswolds is a very special place that boasts fantastic opportunities for walking, dining and visiting some of the prettiest villages in the UK.
The medieval market town of Tewkesbury is just a short 8 minute drive from the house. With a rich, vibrant history and a beautiful waterside setting, there is plenty for everyone to enjoy. Take in the wonderful scenery with a stroll beside the River Severn, or a boat trip along the Avon. Then head to Tewkesbury Abbey; an imposing feature of the town’s landscape for nearly 900 years. The town has a full calendar of events running throughout the year: celebrations and festivals including the world-famous Medieval Festival, popular Food & Drink Festival and Mop Fair. Every Wednesday and Saturday there is a general market, whilst on the second Saturday of every month, the streets come alive with the Farmers Market where you can pick up everything from award-winning local cheeses to handmade gifts.
Also in the surrounding area, you will find a brilliant local pub within walking distance. There are also an abundance of National Trust properties to discover, as well as Sudeley Castle, Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre and Sezincote House & Garden. Our property guide is full of more local favourites in the area.
Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of the Cotswolds, we would recommend bringing a car for your stay. There is private parking for 4 vehicles on the driveway.
Other Things to Note:
Dogs are welcome at the property (max 2) on the condition they are kept downstairs and off soft furnishings.
External security cameras are fitted for your own safety and that of the property.
Please let us know if you do not plan to use the hot tub during your stay. It has to be drained and refilled in between each stay, which is costly and not very environmentally friendly. So this is very wasteful if it has not been used!
Interaction with Guests:
We will be available via message, email and phone during your stay. Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
