Painswick is surrounded by beautiful countryside and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is rightfully called "Queen of the Cotswolds" and the village lies at the mid-point of the Cotswold Way national trail, approximately fifty miles from Chipping Campden to the north and fifty miles from Bath in the south. Many of the buildings in the village are made from locally quarried Cotswold stone, resulting from the prosperous wool and cloth trade in centuries past. The pretty church of St. Mary's is a popular wedding venue and is surrounded by the famous ninety-nine yew trees and table tombs which fill the church grounds.



In the village there is a variety of small shops, cafes, restaurants and the local pub with large open fire is only fifty meters up the road.

Occasionally we can allow dogs to stay at the property but this is done on request. If you wish to bring your dog then please get in touch with us. If we allow the dog to stay it will be an additional £25 for a max of 2 dogs.

-Ground floor reception rooms are on slightly different levels with 3 or 4 steps up/down.

-Outside kitchen/dining, lawn and firepit area are on a higher level up several steps.

-Pets to be kept downstairs and off the furniture at all times and never left alone in the property.

- "ARC Painswick was used as our base for our wedding. The kitchen has double ovens and double microwaves which allows to cook for up to 30 people easily. The bedrooms were all clean, well made up and the water pressure in the showers was great. We never ran out of hot water either. We opted for the heated pool which was a lovely addition even in December. The venue provided so many extra towels for this option too. There are 4x extra sitting rooms that I didn't quite get an understanding on the website, so felt like the place was much bigger than what I thought it was going to be. Overall a great venue that is beautifully rustic, but at the same time having all the modern luxuries that makes everything easier. Thanks for everything. J&k. Very very minor, but some of the soap dispenser plungers did not work in the showers. But that was it :) everything else was lovely."
