This modern villa is in the popular area of Mar de Plata, Puerto de Mazarron, just a short walk from the beach, with a private pool, terraces with sea and mountain views and a high standard of accommodation throughout, including air conditioning, fast internet and WiFi. The property has a secure lockable entrance gate and a front terrace with private plunge pool with steps (not ladder) for easy access. There is space for three to four sunbeds to lounge in the sun by the side of your pool, and also a table and chairs for 'al fresco' dining. Please do not move furniture to park on the front terrace as it is not designed to take the weight of a vehicle. There is plenty of parking in the road directly in front of the villa.

Entrance to the villa is by the rear door into the modern and fully equipped kitchen which has a small breakfast bar and two stools The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave and coffee machine. The washing machine is outside the villa.

From the kitchen, you enter into the main living area, which is spacious and has patio doors opening out onto the pool area. With aircon / heating run by a card meter system ( guests can buy additional cards from our local representative if required, but 40 euros of credit is already included in each booking) plus ceiling fans, and flyscreens throughout, the villa is therefore ideal for a holiday at all times of the year.

There is a large comfortable corner sofa, modern dining table with 6 chairs and a downstairs shower room and toilet. The flat screen TV has channels in both English and Spanish, and there is also a Playstation and selection of games for the younger members of the party to amuse themselves.
If you prefer to relax to music, there is a BOSE sound dock.

The fly screens throughout the villa means that upstairs windows can be left open at night if required.

Heading upstairs there is a larger twin room ( a folding bed is also available in this room, suitable for a child ), a bathroom with large shower cubicle and the larger master bedroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed and it´s own en-suite bathroom, and also has a lovely small terrace off the side with a table and 2 chairs, ideal for enjoying your morning coffee in the fresh air.

If you carry on up the staircase, you will arrive on the upper solarium, where there is a large dining table and lounge furniture for enjoying meals, drinks and cocktails, which can be sipped whilst watching the sun set across the bay.

This modern villa is on a small development, just a short walk from the nearest beach and with plenty of parking in the street outside.

There are bars and restaurants within a 10 to 15 minutes walk. The villa is only 5 minutes drive (or 35 minutes walk) from the beautiful yatching marina at Puerto de Mazarron, which is a fishing port and market town. Here you will find a huge variety of bars and restaurants to sample local produce and yet more Blue Flag beaches for the whole family to enjoy.

Further afield, the cities of Cartagena and Murcia are bustling, and have various sites of historical and cultural interest such as the castles, cathedrals and museums. Both cities also have great pedestrianised shopping areas.

- "The property is exactly as presented in the photos. Everything was very professional including a proper rental contract. Matilde was very attentive and helpful. When we told her the sun loungers were a bit dirty someone was there cleaning them within hours. They were dirty because rain had bought sand over as it tends to in southern Spain. The only very slight negative is that the road at the end of the property does create some noise but its not a big deal. Peurto Mazarron is mainly a Spanish resort and at end of May was very quiet. The beaches are all very clean with crystal clear water and would be very good for kids. One warning the rental does not include sheets and towels which is very strange for visitors from the UK but they can be hired at a supplement. All in all very good"

The villa is situated between Mazarron port and Isla Plana, the next town along the coast. My partner and I had visited the area before, as my in-laws spend the winter in the area. The property was clean, modern and was well equipped. There is a ground level bedroom and bathroom which is great for anyone who can't manage stairs. Residencial La Isla del Puerto is a complex built opposite the safe sandy beach of La Isla where you can walk 50metres into the sea and the clear,warm water is still only up to your waist. This 12 year old apartment (1st floor with lift) is furnished and maintained to a high standard. . There is one double bedroom with King size bed and one twin bedroom with 2 single beds both with ample wardrobe space. There are two shower rooms/wc for your convenience. We have just had a new larger shower enclosure fitted to one bathroom.The kitchen is well equiped (including a washing machine) and leads into the lounge/diner which leads onto the balcony with spectacular sea views and across to La Isla.
There is a large communal roof terrace where you can see spectacular sunsets.
There is a large communal pool with separate children's pool, entry phone system and large communal roof solarium with great views of the bay and mountains.
Air conditioning keeps it cool in the summer and heating keeps it warm in the winter.
The apartment is on the 1st floor, with a lift and is a level 10 minute walk to the port making it an ideal base for families with children and the elderly.
However 10 minute walk in the other direction leads you to numerous other bars and restaurants.
There are also a few disco bars that stay open late in the Port. (10 minute walk away)
The apartment in in a quiet residential area so although it is within easy reach of all amenities it is very peaceful at night. The shutters make it very dark at night so you will get a good night,s sleep.

The property is accessed via lift with ramps in foyer. there is no bath only shower in each bathroom. It is a flat walk to the town centre and all reataurants and bars. The main beach in the new marina has the facility to aid wheelchair users into the sea please contact tourist information centre for more details.
