All the staff at the hotel went above & beyond to answer every query we had, the fridge o In the room was appreciated. - "Good points:- Location, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Inexpensive in February. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Free on street parking. Pet friendly. Short drive to Garrucha and Mojacar. Points to improve on:- Sofa bed (used as a sofa) was like sitting on a thinly cover pallet, very uncomfortable. If you have a dog that likes to bother cats, this is the place for them. There are cats everywhere. The on site restaurant and shop not open until May. No toiletries in the room. Soundproofing wasn’t great. Although not a problem during low season, I would think that it would be a nightmare when busy during the summer holidays."

Finca Arboleda Old Stables bungalow is situated in the countryside near Vera in Almeria. It has 5000 sq metres, over an acre, of mature fenced gardens. We live here and also have a one bedroom bungalow which we offer for holiday lets. They both have use of a fantastic 10 metre x 5 metre swimming pool.
The Old Stables bungalow has one bedroom with king sized bed and another with twin beds, a newly refitted bathroom with a power shower and a open plan kitchen, dining, sitting room. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a washing machine dishwasher and all the usual things you would need and more. The sitting area has two leather sofas, TV with International channels, series and films and free WiFi.
Outside there is a large table with chairs, sun loungers and bbq. The garden is big with mainly Olive, Fig, Pomegranate, Orange and Lemon trees. The fantastic pool has enough sunbeds, umbrellas and side tables for all guests.
We are certain you will enjoy a holiday here as much as we have loved living here for over 20 years.

- " Whilst writing in the guest reviews book is good, most people nowadays prefer to read (and share) about other guests experiences on line. We we are just coming to the end of our two weeks here -our first experience - and will sadly be flying home tomorrow. When we first arrived we didn’t immediately know what to make of living in a rural house away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas of Spain. We quickly settled into a relaxed way of holiday life. You have everything you could wish for here, without venturing too far. Vera town is but 5 minutes drive away where there are some nice restaurants and many supermarkets. Iceland Overseas supplies just about any British food you could want, from Waitrose products and other brands. They even have their own meat counter with quality meat cut to order. Bistro gravy? Yes, that’s there too. If your coming from the UK, you don’t need to bring your own bacon or mustard, it’s all here. Lidl and Supermercado complete the selection of products available. There are also some scenic drives along the coast road up to Aquilas and in the other direction too taking you to some tiny, quiet coves all to yourself. The nearest beach is Puerto Rey which even at weekends is fairly empty and quiet. Being a truly rural Spanish farming area, many locals eat late, so as we tend to eat early, we tended to have the local menu del dia at lunchtimes, with a snack in the evenings. I have to say that the owners, Michael and Pirrko, are always there if needed, and their fresh eggs from their ‘girls’ have orange yolks and are lovely. The pool area is quiet and the only sounds to be heard are the breezes rustling the olive, limes, lemons and fig trees as you kick back and enjoy the sunshine. Enjoy, Meg & Derek (Cambridgeshire)"

Having been disappointed with holiday apartments in the past, I have made sure this one has everything a family needs - from hair dryers to huge amounts of crockery and glassware, with a selection of board games and DVDs, and even a Wii console with a few games for quiet times in.

Located just 70 km from Almeria airport (45mins), the apartment is easily reached with direct flights or alternatively Murcia airport (140 km — 90mins) also services the area.

Valle del Este is located in a tourist destination on the East coast of Almeria (near to the villages of Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar) It has more than three thousand hours of sun per year which is more than any other area within continental Europe.

On the complex there is an excellent golf course and spa, which is perfect to combine sport and relaxation. There is also a fantastic tapas restaurant, a golf /sports bar, a mini shop and a cocktail bar. You are only a 10-15minute drive from Garrucha and Mojacar beaches.

- "Excellent communication with the owner - really nice property as described on the website, in a lovely location. Easy access to the property on arrival. Had a lovely stay and would return." - "Communication with the owners was excellent. The apartment is conveniently accessed just off the motorway. From Alicante airport it's an easy 2hr drive to Valle del Este resort. Less if you're flying into Murcia or Almeria. We found the apartment a great base for exploring both the nearby towns of Vera, Mojacar and the beaches along Vera Playa as well as for venturing further afield to the Cabo de Gata national park villages and beaches such as San José. The lovely town of Nijar with it's pottery and rug shops is another easy drive as is Sorbas, an interesting moorish town built right on the edge of a gorge. Tabernas desert and the old movie sets there are worth visiting if you're a spaghetti western fan. The apartment itself was well set up to accommodate our group of two adults and four kids. Plenty of space and excellent WiFi as mentioned in another review. It did stop working for the last few days but this didn't affect our enjoyment. The kids played with the Wii and had fun with a dance game. The highlight for our kids was the pool. It remaining open during October was fantastic and we all made use of it nearly every day. Having two showers in the apartment was another bonus. Reasonably priced groceries can be found at the supermarket Mercadona if you prefer to cook your own meals. There's a good Mercadona in Vera town but we found it easier to park at the big one further out the main road towards Garrucha. You can't miss it on the left if you take that road. Our youngest got a kick out of squeezing the orange juice in-store. Fresh bread can also be found most days in the little shop near the hotel. The resort itself seems geared to retired golfers and the residential section where we stayed was very quiet during the first ten days of October. That suited us; we loved having the place nearly to ourselves. There is a restaurant at the hotel down the road and two more a short walk away from the hotel in the Centro Comercial. We liked Karen's sports bar the best. Now to the beds. Yes, the mattresses are on the firm side. Half of our group said they were fine and half took a while to get used to them. I'm in the latter half so if I was to return I'd bring a mattress topper for my dodgy back. Again, this(or the lack of a cafetiere) wasn't enough to detract from an overall wonderful holiday. I've already recommended this apartment to friends and family and would love to go back. (p.s. For any geocachers reading this, you will be kept busy here!)"

The family sized accommodation is on three floors and situated on a high point in a valley, with a fantastic view.
On the ground floor there is a lounge/dining room, kitchen and shower room downstairs. The front terrace overlooking the private garden, the fabulous valley, and Cabrera Mountains.
On the first floor 2 bedrooms, with a small balcony. One of those overlooking the pool/garden and the other overlooks the valley and the sea. From may to the end of october, you can enjoy swimming outside, and it is warm enough to have breakfast and lunch outside in the whole year.

As you can see on the pictures, we have in front of our house a protected area, where you can walk in the nature, so the hills starts just in front of our private garden.

Set in a peaceful location, nestling among orange and lemon groves, yet just 5 minutes drive from the typically Spanish town of Vera, and 10 minutes from a 25 kilometre stretch of beautiful beaches.

This south west facing property boasts 3 light and airy bedrooms with air-conditioning in each room and ceiling fans and 2 bathrooms, a living room with large screen smart TV, a couple of sofas and kitchen area. This area also has air-. conditioning. Adjacent is a very large “chill-out” room with comfortable sofas, an 8 seater dining table. and a pool table. There is a large flat screen TV with an extensive DVD library and a selection of board games and books for both adults and children. This sizeable and charming property which has been restored to a high standard forms the southwestern facing rear of a large historic country mansion. The villa has its own driveway and private pool within a pretty, fenced and gated garden. The owners are around to provide any help if necessary but also appreciate you having your own privacy, they reside in the front of the estate, with their own driveway and entrances. This is a totally unique historic property originally inhabited in the 1850,s. Features include a large outdoor wheat threshing area known as an Era and a Dovecote.
The property is just a 5 minute drive from the Valle del Este Golf Course and Spa and 5 minutes from 3 equestrian centres.

Location and Surrounding Area
Located in eastern Andalucia, in Southern Spain, Almeria boasts around 320 days of sunshine per year and has one of the warmest climates in Europe.
With its long, sandy beaches, pretty marinas, fishing ports, coastal resorts, mountains, Andalucían towns and villages as well as championship quality golfing venues, the area has much to offer the holidaymaker. Despite this, much of the region lies unspoilt by mass tourism, protected from over -development thus retaining its natural beauty.
One of the main reasons people visit the area around Vera is to discover the very many beaches which, for most of the year can be virtually deserted and even in the height of the summer never reach the over-crowding seen in some of the other Spanish resorts. Beachside parking is abundant and mostly free. There are beaches to suit everyone from gently sloping sandy beaches to hidden away rugged rocky coves. A lot, but not all, have small bars and toilets. Within a short drive of the villa, you will come across winding, narrow streets and whitewashed houses typical of Andalucía. On the sea front of the fishing port of Garrucha you’ll find a busy marina and a selection of the finest fish restaurants in the province.
A little further along the coast is the Cabo de Gata National Park, declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO, featuring abundant flora and fauna. This is a dramatic landscape with remote areas, desert terrain and a simple way of life. The secluded coves and clear, sparkling sea make this a beautiful setting to enjoy kayaking, sailing and diving.

Just a couple of kilometres from the villa, Vera is a small, walled, renaissance town located in the Levante of Almeria in Andalucían and just minutes from the coast .

We were treated so well by Sara and Dom. they could not have done enough for us, certainly over and above anything we have experienced before when renting a villa. The historical property is surrounded by Orange and Lemon groves in a peaceful and tranquil setting. We had various grandchildren and family staying a different times and there was something for all ages, ours are between 3 and 23 years. There is table tennis, beach tennis, games room with so much to entertain including a pool table! It was difficult to get the tennagers to go out as they were just happy lounging around the lovely pool and playing the various sports there! As mentioned before our hosts were so kind and helpful, even to the point where Sara booked and took us and three of the youngest children pony trekking herself!! - "We were given a warm and friendly welcome (plus a bottle of wine!) from Gerd and Stephanie who showed us round the apartment and handed us two sets of keys. The complex is very secure with a key fob for the entrance gates and the apartment has its own parking space. The apartment is beautiful, very spacious and we were delighted to see how clean it is kept. It is well equipped with everything you could want, even an umbrella in case of rain! In our 4 weeks there, though, it didn't rain once. The TV is 'smart' and we were able to watch Netflix at any time as the internet connection is good. Very important to us...the beds are comfortable! The complex itself is very pretty and beautifully kept. We were there during the quieter time of February and March when it's advisable to have a car, particularly if you want to explore further. There's a nice café/bar with small shop just outside the complex but this doesn't open until Easter when everywhere is busier. It's a 20 minute walk, on the flat, from the complex to the bars, restaurants and a huge supermarket (Consume) in the area. However, the bus stop is not far out of the complex where buses run every hour to Mojacar Playa via all the stops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment and can't recommend it highly enough. Gerd and Stephanie are a lovely couple who will help you with anything you might need for your stay. This South facing property is located in a small enclosed complex with a communal swimming pool. There is a 4 Star hotel on the course with a beautiful swimming pool and spa. These and all the hotel's facilities are open to all residents of Valle del Este. The property is within 10 minutes drive of a number of the lovely Vera and Mojacar beaches and the surrounding mountains. There is also a naturist beach area in Vera Playa. There are restaurants, bars and a supermarket on the golf course as well as numerous others in the local towns. Apart from the Valle del Este course there are 4 other golf courses in the area. The apartments are recently renovated and consist of a living/dining room with smart TV, kitchen with fridge, oven, ceramic hob, extractor fan and washing machine. In both bedrooms there are ceiling fans. 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath. The apartment has hot/cold air conditioning throughout the house.

The apartment has two terraces, one at the front of the house with table and chairs and the other terrace is at the back, with a terrace lounge set. This last terrace is located in front of the community pool and has pool views.

The apartment is situated in a magnificent complex at Al Alandalus Residential,

It is a two bedroom ground floor apartment.The main bedroom has en-suite facilities, and the family bathroom is right opposite the second bedroom.

It has a comfortable lounge, fully fitted kitchen, utilities room and large gated decking/garden area at the front ideal for private outdoor eating.

The outdoor pool and childrens pool/playground is 30 seconds walk!

The complex is secured by a manned gatehouse, and a very helpful gate-keeper.

There is a bus service that picks up right outside the complex that travels along the coastline to the award winning sandy beaches of Vera Playa, Puerto Rey, Garrucha and Mojacar and leaves at 20 past the hour.

It is within easy reach for all activities you would need on your holiday.The complex is spotlessly clean and a very good mix of people (Even some locals have bought property here!)

The complex is safe and boast two pools (One indoor and one out)All the building has finished in the immediate area so you won't be disturbed by cranes and digging in the morning!!!

The garden is ideal for a well deserved bottle of the local wine at the end of a relaxing day....

IMPROVE YOUR HANDICAP

Desert Springs Indiana course is the first desert course in Europe and has been built to USPGA specifications. Generous fairways mean it's ideal for the less skilled amateur, while the scenery is astounding.

Different tees mean that the better player will find the course's assortment of hazards - from dry riverbeds to cacti- a real challenge

10 mins away Valle del Este's sand, water and volcanic rock make for a different sort of golfing experience. Raised tees look down on three lakes and a good number of waterfalls, while ominously large sand bunkers litter the fairways.

Finally at Turre, not far from Mojacar, there is the Cortijo Grande club de golf.

We stayed during our national school summerholiday. We enjoyed it very much cause of the silence :-). The destination is a secret with little touristy. If you like to spend your holiday without other "tourists", spend your time here with friends. We & our kids enjoyed it very much cause you are at your own & free.
