There is charcoal BBQ at our home which guests are welcome to use, but must clean it after use other wise you will be charged a €35 cleaning fee.
Please note that you will be met on arrival for the hand over of keys, but should you arrive outside of normal working hours there would be an additional €35 meet and greet fee.
The famous La Peperina restaurant and bar is approximately 75 meters from the villa ( The restaurant is closed until a new a new owner has been found).

FAMILY DAY TRIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!: O.K so its time for a day trip you have all spent enough time in the markets and sunning yourselves so where to go ?. The 1st place I recommend is Fort Bravo its about an hour away but very easy to find as its marked on nearly all maps and is quite famous as this has been the location for a lot of spaghetti westerns. Dress up for the day in old cowboy / girl outfits and have a blast get the photos taken and ride in the stage coaches or on horses.Watch the show that is acted out twice daily and have a great time especially exciting for the kids .
2nd place is Oasis theme park and Zoo , its just 10 minutes past Fort Bravo and has its own western town including boot hill there is also a show twice daily along with other attractions . When you finish there go to the zoo which is very extensive and covers a huge area.You should be able to find both on the internet to check out opening times and prices. If you have never been to these parks before i highly recommend you try one or the other.
3rd place which is only a five minute drive away would be the Aqua Park with all the water slides etc.

THE LOCAL AREA : There are to many towns and villages to mention all but the property itself is located between the small commercial town of Vera and the fishing village of Garrucha both of which are no more then 5 minutes away. Both towns offer the usual bars ,restaurants and shopping. One of the nicest places to visit for shopping or food is the town of Mojacar it is situated high up overlooking the entire area with a panoramic view of about 6 to 7 miles in all directions and a night-time visit is especially breathtaking. Other villages within 15 minutes drive include Bedar, Palomeras, Villicricos and Carboneras all of which have something to offer the curious tourist so take your pick.NOW WHAT ABOUT THE BEACH?? Well its quite simple you can either walk for 15 minutes or drive for 5 to get to it. When your on it you have about 6 to 7 kilometres to choose from ..Finally some areas are NATURIST areas i.e.FULLY NUDE I point this out for those of you who will be bringing children along

LA PAPERINA RESTAURANT: A beautiful restaurant and bar just 30 second walk from our property offers a mix of English and Spanish foods . Opening hours are approx 10 am to 12 pm all week long, Indoor and outdoor dining is catered for as you would expect when travelling to Spain ,Those dining outside can enjoy a beautiful backdrop of a swimming pool with small waterfall which is lit up at night time perfect for those romantic evening meals. The restaurant is closed in January and February which is normal in off peak seasons. There will also be live music on certain nights of the week during the summer period which will add to a great night out.
If the driver is not taking the night off there are numerous bars and restaurants within 5-10 minutes drive Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Indian, and English to name but a few.

Places of interest: Mojacar Playa has an excellent choice of restaurants for all tastes as well as bars and lively clubs. There is go-karting, water sports, scuba diving, horse riding and quad biking.

Mojacar Pueblo - the old hill top town is a delightful place to explore. Through a labyrinth of narrow winding cobbled streets you will find charming arty shops, restaurants, bars and terraces. There is a magnificent view at the top of the village.

Vera Playa - 8km of white sandy beaches – Las Marinas, Puerto Laguna, Pueblo Laguna, Puerto Key and El Playaso. The amazing water park has excellent shoots and slides.

Garrucha - A charming, lively fishing port famous for its delicious fresh seafood which is fished locally. It has a beautiful beach and promenade with excellent restaurants and bars serving fresh sea catch of the day. Lively weekly market on Fridays.

Villaricos - a small unspoilt fishing village. There are two beaches, a pebbled expanse and an unspoilt golden sandy beach which has an excellent chiringuito (beach bar) and a children’s playground.

Cabo de gata national park - An hours drive will take you to 30km of beautiful untouched coastlines. Ideal for hiking, fishing, bird-watching, scuba diving or just exploring the sandy beaches and quiet coves.

- "I stayed on this property with my family for more than three weeks in August and everything about the rental went absolutely perfect: Communication with the owner was super fast and friendly. Price was very reasonable considering how expensive other similar properties can be. The villa is absolutely fantastic, ideal for small families. Three bedrooms with plenty of storage room, amazing air con that works in the whole house, great living room and kitchen and a garden/patio/swimming pool area to die for. There is a huge solarium upstairs with a little barbecue great for night time dinners. There is a tight parking space for one car that we didn't use as behind the house there is plenty of extra parking space. The complex is extremely secure and so very quiet at night time. The property is managed by a local company that were incredibly efficient, always responding to our messages within minutes. We found the dishwasher wasn't working properly and they took only two days to replace it for a brand new one. Also, a man came once a week to clean the pool, which I haven't seen in any other rentals in the past. There are two fantastic big swimming pools in the complex that we used a couple of days (never seemed to be too busy) and a little bar called Cositas outside of the complex which had super fun concerts on Thursdays. The beautiful towns of Garrucha and Mojacar are just 15/20 minutes drive from the property and beautiful beaches all around. Mercadona supermarket is also 5 minutes away. However, a car is an absolute must and you have to drive everywhere. Such a fantastic time, we were really sad to leave and we hope we will be back very soon!"

Charming, Rural Villa with Private Pool

Set in a peaceful location, nestling among orange and lemon groves, yet just 5 minutes drive from the typically Spanish town of Vera, and 10 minutes from a 25 kilometre stretch of beautiful beaches.

This south west facing property boasts 3 light and airy bedrooms with air-conditioning in each room and ceiling fans and 2 bathrooms, a living room with large screen smart TV, a couple of sofas and kitchen area. This area also has air-. conditioning. Adjacent is a very large “chill-out” room with comfortable sofas, an 8 seater dining table. and a pool table. There is a large flat screen TV with an extensive DVD library and a selection of board games and books for both adults and children. Beautiful antique doors lead straight out onto the terraces which over look the pool and garden with tropical plants, a Balinese style sun bathing platform and a couple of hammocks, as well as traditional sun beds and parasols. There is also a second covered terrace with a table and chairs ideal to enjoy that first cup of coffee in the mornings.
The outdoor kitchen area is covered from the elements and comprises of an oven, a microwave and a 3 ring gas hob. There are gas and charcoal BBQs, as well as a gas Paella tripod and a fridge and marble work surface.
We have transformed one of the old stables to create a recreation area featuring a children´s play area, a table tennis table, a beach tennis/volley ball court, a touch tennis court and plenty of room to enjoy a game of Petanque (Boules) which sits next to the full-size beach tennis or volley ball court and the table tennis room.
Wherever you sit in the garden you will appreciate the beautiful views of orange trees and rolling hills. Ideal for families and groups we are also pleased to advise that this property has been adapted to facilitate wheelchair users. This sizeable and charming property which has been restored to a high standard forms the southwestern facing rear of a large historic country mansion. The villa has its own driveway and private pool within a pretty, fenced and gated garden. The owners are around to provide any help if necessary but also appreciate you having your own privacy, they reside in the front of the estate, with their own driveway and entrances. We were treated so well by Sara and Dom. they could not have done enough for us, certainly over and above anything we have experienced before when renting a villa. The historical property is surrounded by Orange and Lemon groves in a peaceful and tranquil setting. We had various grandchildren and family staying a different times and there was something for all ages, ours are between 3 and 23 years. There is table tennis, beach tennis, games room with so much to entertain including a pool table! It was difficult to get the tennagers to go out as they were just happy lounging around the lovely pool and playing the various sports there! As mentioned before our hosts were so kind and helpful, even to the point where Sara booked and took us and three of the youngest children pony trekking herself!! When we arrived, not only did Dom meet us nearby to help guide us to the the house but various and very welcome supplies were in place, which was lovely. I cannot say how much we enjoyed our stay (a whole month) at this lovely villa. A tranquil home to say in with everything you could want. Plus, the town of Vera is 5 mins away! Perfect. A beautiful, well furnished three bedroom townhouse set in the luxury Valle des Este golf and leisure development (with great drinking and dining facilities) in Vera, five minutes drive from the safe sandy beaches and lovely bars and restaurants of Vera and Mojacar.

The colourful, mature front gardens lead up to the porch and terrace area, with plenty of space for al fresco dining at a table seating six, with great views. The ground floor consists of lounge with two sofas and a dining table which also seats six. The Tv has satellite channels and there’s fast wi-fi throughout the house. There’s a fully fitted kitchen with dish washer and a full range of dining and glassware, coffee machine and plenty of cupboard space for food storage. There are also large storage cupboards under the stairs, a downstairs shower and toilet room, and rear terrace with covered utility area with washing machine. The rear terrace leads to a secure car park with allocated space and a few steps away a fantastic shared pool and children's pool in delightful landscaped gardens.

The first floor comprises a landing area, master bathroom, bedroom one and two (both doubles) large built in wardrobes and Juliet-style terraces. The entire second floor then forms a master suite with a large double bedroom, built in wardrobes, a private terrace with wonderful views and an en-suite bathroom. There are spare towels and fresh linen stored in the built in floor to ceiling wardrobes in each room, with plenty of space to hang and store clothing and footwear.

The townhouse sleeps six comfortably, and has air con and central heating(though rarely necessary, even for winter breaks) in each room, sat tv, wi-fi, ceiling fans, an open fire, dish washer, coffee machine, washing machine, external drying area with collapsible drying rack, and many other extras.

A leisurely five minute stroll will take you to Valles Del Este’s hotel area, with its elegant bar, two beautiful restaurants, spa, sauna, gym, hair salon, indoor pool and golf shop. The outside terrace has mountain views and a large pool with external bar. The drinking and dining experience at the hotel is wonderful, with excellent friendly service and surprisingly reasonable prices. The sweeping landscaped golf course draws golfers from from many miles away to spend the day. The hotel’s restaurants and outside dining areas are a favourite with the local Spanish people and a perfect setting for making new friends and great holiday memories. A further few minutes walk will take you to a sports bar and two other great bars with outside terraces and mountain views, fantastic dining experiences with friendly service, and late night drinking and socialising in Chipper’s bar. You really don’t have to venture any further than Valles Del Este for the most fabulous of holiday experiences, but if you do…

The nearest town is Vera, five minutes drive away, a typical old Spanish town with delightful bars,restaurants and regular market days for fresh produce and delicious food stands. Nearby is Mojacar Playa, featured regularly on A Place in the Sun, a lively and glamorous 12 km stretch of shops, boutiques, beach front bars and restaurants. Clean, friendly and like everywhere else in the area, reasonably priced, Mojacar Playa has something for every taste and age group. There are many other lovely coastal towns and villages within a 10-30 minute drive rich in history and culture, along the beautiful Costa del Almeria.

- "Our party consisted of 5 females aged 30's-50's. We went in October and the weather was beautiful everyday, high 20's and perfect sunshine. We flew to Almeria airport where we hired a car and we found the apartment easily with a good journey taking approximately 45 minutes. On arrival at the apartment we found it to be spotless with all the facilities required to make a good holiday. A beautiful veranda with large table enabled us to eat alfresco whilst admiring the stunning scenery. A large swimming pool less than a minutes walk away provided a perfect way to relax. Although the pool is shared we had it all to ourselves for the most of the holiday. There is another beautiful pool at the hotel, approximately 10 minutes stroll away, which has a bar and nice sitting out area overlooking the golf course. There is a beautiful town, Vera, about 10 minutes drive away. Easy access and plenty of parking. With various shops, cafes and supermarkets it provided a real traditional Spanish experience. At the resort itself there were two lovely restaurants where we ate and a lovely music bar which served fantastic cocktails and the owner was lovely and attentive and provided a good selection of music for us to relax and dance to. Overall our holiday was superb and great value for money. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family and plan to book again for next year. The cinema screen is 120 inches and the projector is a top-of-the-range Optima with HD & 3D facility connected to a 1000 Watt surround sound system complete with 6 speakers and two subwoofers + a 4K Android Box.

The centre section of the ceiling is constructed with 3D printed stretch PVC which is lit from above with white & black LED lights simulating a starry night sky which feels like you are at the top of the property and not in the basement. There is also a built-in Popcorn machine where you can add whatever ingredients you like to your Popcorn while preparing.
It is like having your own private Cinema.

There are also 2 separated sleeping areas with a double bed or 2 single beds in one area and a bunk bed containing 2 single beds + wardrobe in the second area, from here up to the ground floor consisting of Living/ Dining Room, Bedroom, Kitchen, Bathroom with Bath, Shower ,Bidet WC & WB. The second floor consists of the Master Bedroom with an en-suite Bathroom/Shower area. There is also a large Private balcony & Deck area attached to this room with a breakfast table & 4 chairs, 2 single day bed's under shade, a table & 2 chairs under a thatch parasol, Comfortable double sun bed & a Sofa bed in the shade overlooking the beach which is ideal for an open-air siesta.

The third bedroom on this floor has two large built-in wardrobes including an en-suite bathroom/shower area.

This spacious cortijo is perfect for larger groups, with various social spaces but also areas to enjoy some peace and privacy. The external areas have been been designed with entertaining in mind and guests can relax around the pool, soak up the sun, or read a book under the dappled shade of the enormous eucalyptus tree. Just outside the gates you can take a gentle stroll or use one of the bicycles on virtually unused country lanes and tracks.

Just a couple of kilometres from the villa, Vera is a small, walled, renaissance town located in the Levante of Almeria in Andalucían and just minutes from the coast .

There are several buildings of architectural interest, the main Plaza Mayor (square) houses the 15th century Church de la Encarnación, The Ayuntamiento de Vera (Vera town hall) was built in the 16th century, here you will find the Ethnographic and Archaeological Museum which tells the history and folklore of Vera and its surrounding areas
Vera has a mix of shops, cafés and restaurants to suit all tastes Saturday is market day where you can buy anything from a frying pan to beautiful rugs, handbags, shoes and much more.

Location and Surrounding Area
Located in eastern Andalucia, in Southern Spain, Almeria boasts around 320 days of sunshine per year and has one of the warmest climates in Europe.
