- "The villa is set in a lovely urbanisation which is well served by shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a pharmacy, vets and tobacco shop here. All are just 10 mins walk from the villa or two mins drive away. There is also a small enclosed dog walking area where you can let your pooches off the lead for a good run nearby. The villa was just as we expected and we enjoyed a fantastic month there. Any queries were quickly addressed by calling Andy who replied immediately. The surrounding area is full of orange and lemon groves and there are plenty of walks around the lanes and lake. We came in the winter and enjoyed everything. TORREVIEJA lively town, promenade (paseo)maritime, the Marina De Salinas with its bars, restaurants, open-air nightclubs. The salt flats and the pink lake can be visited by small train departing from the Torrevieja fountain, a large permanent fairground in high season, cottages selling handicrafts, the pretty Del Molino de Agua park with a waterfall that descends to the footbridge that runs along the famous beach of La Mata.
For hikers, the Mata lagoons natural park offers several hiking trails.

This spacious, private, safe and secure Villa with it's own private pool is only a few minutes walk through wooded dunes to a lovely clean sandy beach. The Villa has just gone through a refurbishment (Oct 21) which included being decorated all through, new Fibre Optic Broadband (up to 600MB), two Air Conditioning Units fitted (for use at extra cost), TV with channels for most languages installed and deep cleaned throughout.

It has three restaurant/bars and a small supermarket within easy walking distance and La Mata is approx 25 mins walk away where you'll find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and a Supermarket. Torrevieja or Guardamar are a few minutes drive or taxi ride. There is a very good Cycle Path that runs all the way into Guardamar or La Mata in the opposite direction where you can explore one of the many Salt Lakes and Nature Reserves.

Downstairs the Villa comprises of a large Lounge/Dining Room with Sofa-bed and clothes storage, wide-screen TV with multi-language channels, DVD player and Fibre Optic WIFI up to 600MB. There is also a Kitchen equipped with toaster, kettle, microwave, Coffee Pod machine, Fridge/Freezer, Oven and Hob. The Utility Room stores the Washing Machine, Ironing Board and Vacuum Cleaner. There is also a Shower Room/WC on the ground floor.

Upstairs is the Master Bedroom with king sized bed and a Twin Bedroom with two single beds. Both bedrooms have plenty of clothes storage. There is also a large Bath/Shower Room with WC and Bidet. Here on the first floor you can access one of the south facing sun terraces which overlooks the Villa's own private pool and has views of the Salt Lakes and the mountains in the distance. There is also a Safe provided.

As you walk out of the front door there is another covered Sun Terrace with a table and six chairs, perfect for alfresco dining. There is a large private sun terrace with 6 sun loungers and barbeque next to the villa's own private pool.

Although car rental isn't essential (we've had lots of people manage perfectly ok without) we recommend hiring a vehicle to make the very most of your stay.

The duplex is situated only a few hundred metres from one of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca and is a short stroll through the surrounding pine forests and sand dunes which are part of a protected nature reserve. The property has a large sun terrace where you can have the privacy to sun bathe undisturbed or enjoy long warm summer evenings with family and friends. Enjoy watching the sun set over the distant mountains and enjoy views overlooking the nearby nature reserve and bird sanctuary. There is a large communal pool along with a smaller pool that is suitable for children.
There is an abundance of outdoor space including a large front patio that is an ideal sun trap even in the winter months and an enclosed rear patio that is an ideal place to sit and relax. You can use this area to catch the early rising sun or as a cooler sitting and dining area on the hottest days. There is also a large roof top solarium.

Guardamar : Because of the majestic and idyllic beaches created by the motion of sea and wind formed sand dunes, fringed by pine, eucalyptus and palm trees, Guardamar is a desirable destination for permanent living or holiday.
A dozen kilometres of beaches covered by white sand are inviting visitors to bathe in the sun or enjoy a walk along the shores.
The sparkling quality of water is perfect to have a refreshing swim or take a sailing or scuba diving course at the “Marina de las Dunas”, a modern sporting marina with nearly 500 mooring points.
Furthermore you can visit the “Parque Reina Sofia” or “Parque Alfonso XIII” and see an ecosystem perfect for aquatic birds typical to this region, such as the royal heron. Close to the mouth of the river Segura you can trek or cycle through the typical landscape of the Levantine garden.

Guardamar is also a city of colorful processions and celebrations.
There is the carnival procession in February, the holy week processions in April, during July the festivities of the Moors and Christians, which are finishing with the general parade where they present their best gowns in order to interpret dances, sword fights, with horses, camels and coaches.
At the end of August the famous Paella competition is taking place and during the Christmas holidays the Council of Festivities celebrates an exhibition of Nativity scenes.
At Christmas Eve the Christmas parade takes place, in which Father Christmas is delivering toys.
The days of Christmas are crowned with the Kings´ Cavalcade, after which the Magicians initiate their nocturnal journey to visit all the homes of the municipality.

December - warm, compared to watching winter sports
on television but, you want to have the heating

The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is located just 500 meters from the beautiful sandy beaches and dunes of Guardamar and within walking/cycling distance of the center. Guardamar is a traditional and very pleasant Spanish town with various shops, restaurants, bars, parks, sports facilities and a boulevard. Many of the (Spanish) residents live permanently in Guardamar, so all facilities are open all year round and it is a great holiday destination in both summer and winter.

The apartment is located in the 24-hour secure complex EsSence. This complex is only accessible to residents or tenants. There is a private parking space available in the parking garage or you can park for free in the street next to the complex.
