We did not hire a car this time but asked Graham to collect and return us to airport for a small fee, he also helped us when we had to go to Mercia to find our spanish bank, he even found the address for us. he is also full of local knowledge. This Spanish style 2-bedroom ground floor apartment is situated within an established complex, in a traditional Spanish resort. It is a perfect holiday for families, single people, and couples alike. A small knowledge of the Spanish language is advised but the locals are only too pleased to help if you are willing to try.
The apartment is within secure grounds, with access through keyed security gates. It is overlooking a large pool with a children's pool attached. The property has two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds; there is an open plan living/dining room with a sofa bed and dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped leading on to a utility area housing washing machine, broom, and mop etc. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin, mirror, and bidet. There is a large patio area housing table, chairs, and sun loungers, at the front of the apartment with views of the kiosk and pool. There is a winding, retractable awning which covers the patio area when the sun is too hot. At the back of the apartment there is a small play area within the confined gated grounds which is ideal for children to play safely but set apart from adult relaxation.
The Kiosk and poolside bar, opens in the holiday months of July and August offering reasonably priced drinks, snacks, ice-creams, tapas and pre-ordered meals, not matched anyway else in Bahia, creating a friendly hustle and bustle of a holiday complex.
The area offers in the summer months many beach water sports: paddle boarding; inflatable water gyms; jet skis; bottomless boat excursions, as well as cycling and horse riding.
If holidaying here out of the busy holiday season, a quiet, tranquil atmosphere is enjoyed, perfect for the elder clientele or couples and single people looking for a typical spanish retreat. During these months there is still many restaurants open within walking distance.
A large Sunday market is located outside the complex which sells a multitude of goods, ie fruit and veg, hot chickens, nuts, sweets, delicacies, and an array of stalls with clothes and household goods waiting to be bartered on. Although close, the bartering and general noise of a busy market is not heard within the apartment complex where there is still a quiet, lazy Sunday morning feel. The Sunday market operates all through the year and is a must for all bargain hunters.

- "Pros: Very easy to get to from Murcia airport. The villa is easily connected and within walking distance to all shops and a great Sunday market with local produce and crafts. It’s easily connected but just far enough out that you’re not in the bustle of the town and able to really relax in the great pool. The villa has a bbq on one of its 3 outdoor spaces, which we took advantage of with the food from the local market. It also has some amazing restaurants and bars within close walking distance. I would definitely recommend El Faro (an amazing cocktail and ice cream bar on the hill overlooking Puerto de Mazzaron) especially in the evening at sunset. It was only around 6 EUR return to travel to Cartagena the main city close to Mazzaron, from the bus station which was a 5 minute walk from the villa, overall the journey was 59 mins each way through the hills surrounding Mazzaron. In Cartagena we visited the Roman Theatre and the Maritime Archeological Museum, which had a display on a very old wreck, which coincidentally the original lies just meters out from one of the beautiful beaches in Puerto De Mazzaron. There are also great shops and bars to enjoy too. Next time we visit we will definitely hire bikes from one of the three bike hire shops close to the villa and head out to the other beaches and towns close to Mazarrón. With so much variation on things to do, the villa is well located in a beautiful town. Allowing you to head out and explore or just sit by the pool in the complex and just relax in peace."

- "Pros: The Apartment by itself was nice and calm with a big nice terrace, but only with a lateral sea view. Jose is a very friendly host. Fast answers with WhatsApp. You have your own parking space in the underground car park und enough parking space in front of the building complex. Good Wifi with Mobile Router. Cons: The apartment was okay, but definitely in need of some maintenance. We expected something better for the money. We were consciously looking for an apartment with dishwasher and oven. The dishwasher didn't work at all. In the oven only the bottom heat worked which meant you have to wait one hour to get it warmed up and then have everything burned from the down side and squishy on the top. The master bedroom and bath room were too cold for use. The air condition was only in the living room. (We had a surprisingly cold week in Dec). Additionally several minor issues that are not annoying on their own, but in total. A few repair and maintenance jobs would upgrade the actual status again."

- "The location wasn't great. The surrounding hills are very nice but mazzaron port not that nice and all the near by beaches are very developed. But the house was very good value and has a nice rooftop terrace where we spent every evening. And it was very clean and tidy. Definitely need a car to get to most places."

Residencial La Isla del Puerto is a complex built opposite the safe sandy beach of La Isla where you can walk 50metres into the sea and the clear,warm water is still only up to your waist. This 12 year old apartment (1st floor with lift) is furnished and maintained to a high standard. . There is one double bedroom with King size bed and one twin bedroom with 2 single beds both with ample wardrobe space. There are two shower rooms/wc for your convenience. We have just had a new larger shower enclosure fitted to one bathroom.The kitchen is well equiped (including a washing machine) and leads into the lounge/diner which leads onto the balcony with spectacular sea views and across to La Isla.
There is a large communal roof terrace where you can see spectacular sunsets.
There is a large communal pool with separate children's pool, entry phone system and large communal roof solarium with great views of the bay and mountains.
Air conditioning keeps it cool in the summer and heating keeps it warm in the winter.
The apartment is on the 1st floor, with a lift and is a level 10 minute walk to the port making it an ideal base for families with children and the elderly.
However 10 minute walk in the other direction leads you to numerous other bars and restaurants.
There are also a few disco bars that stay open late in the Port. (10 minute walk away)
The apartment in in a quiet residential area so although it is within easy reach of all amenities it is very peaceful at night. The shutters make it very dark at night so you will get a good night,s sleep.

The property is accessed via lift with ramps in foyer. there is no bath only shower in each bathroom. It is a flat walk to the town centre and all reataurants and bars. The main beach in the new marina has the facility to aid wheelchair users into the sea please contact tourist information centre for more details.
