San pedro is a small typically Spanish town but does have some of the modern twists so the best of both worlds are catered for. There is a large market on a Monday where you can buy fresh produce. Nearby supermarkets either a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk. The Mar Menor is a 30 minute walk or a 10 minute drive. Here you will find a large beach which is very safe for the children as the water is not very deep and water sports for you too enjoy.

Bars and restaurants can also be found here. Near to the apartment is a shop and a few bars where you can get a meal. There is also a small park opposite and a 5 minute walk away you will find the Thalasia which has a Spa and pools for everyone to use at a charge.

There is ample room for parking and is within easy walking or driving distance for a number of local beaches. The famous Mar Menor (or little sea) is about 25 minutes walk away (3 minutes by car). This is a fantastic place for water sports, swimming and good beaches, there are no tides so very very safe for swimming and is much warmer than the sea. Also there are lovely sandy beaches in Lo Pagan. The area is very flat so it's perfect for cycling or walking. Very close to the San Pedro Las Salinas national park, an unspoilt nature reserve which is a favourite with bird watchers! The local town is about 15 mins walk and the motorway is about 1.5 miles away. ar bus service to neighbouring towns for non-drivers, and the bus station is only 10 minutes walk away.

A luxurious affordable penthouse. Sun all year round on our comfortably furnished private roof terrace with a large dining table and 6 chairs. Besides that, we also have a luxurious lounge set with 4 comfortable sunbeds. The sun is always nearby, and if necessary you can create shadow through the pergola. The roof terrace also has a shower so you can cool off while sunbathing. The complex also has a communal swimming pool.

The penthouse has 2 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom has an extra long bed of 160 x 210. This is quite exceptional in Spain, so tall people are also comfortable in bed here. The second bedroom has 2 separate single beds. THE MUD OF THE MAR MENOR
The special climatological conditions of the Mar Menor, with numerous hours of sunshine throughout the year and a high salt content, have contributed to the development of mud deposits of special therapeutic value in the far north of the inland sea, in La Puntica, for centuries.
The latest surveys carried out by the University of Murcia (in 1995) show that these deposits contain high percentages of the cations calcium, magnesium and potassium, as well as the anions chloride and sulphates, well above the values expected in such saline waters.
In addition, the average granulation in the area shows high percentages of fine and very fine sands (loam and clay), which are the real source of the curative properties attributed to this mud. The pH base content measured here varies between 7.12 and 8.45.

The Mar Menor is a saltwater lagoon next to the Mediterranean Sea in the Region of Murcia (Spain). Its special ecological and natural characteristics make the Mar Menor a unique natural landscape and the largest saltwater lake in Europe.

Nature reserve - (The salt flats of San Pedro del Pinatar):
The salt flats of San Pedro del Pinatar are the most important wetland habitat in the entire region. They were therefore declared a regional park in 1985. Flocks of flamingos and other migratory birds nest here every year, making a stopover in this natural area on their journey between Africa and Europe. The San Pedro Salt Pans Regional Park is a unique landscape on the Mediterranean coast, where morphological features can be seen at short distances: Salt pans, salt lakes, reed beds, beaches, "encanizadas" (the system used on the Mar Menor for fishing since time immemorial, whereby the fish entering the lagoon from the Mediterranean are caught in this labyrinth made of wood and reeds) and pine forests growing on sandy soil.

AROUND THE MAR MENOR
A cycle tour around the Mar Menor, along paths, dirt tracks and even a former sheep track that always runs along the water's edge, is a great way to discover this unique coastal area.
Unfortunately - or fortunately - the banks of the Mar Menor are not continuous. In the "encanizadas", the cages made of wood and woven reeds, in the extreme north of La Manga, the beach is interrupted by several water channels that do not allow a continuous round trip around the Mar Menor.

The "Costa Cálida" is known as the Florida of the south. Excellent golf courses have been built here in a short space of time. The golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus are just a few kilometres away.

Dear Guests, Welcome in my flat. I took a long time to choose it, to decorate it and to furnish it in order you feel here very well. Modern, fully furnished, bright and very calm it is also very well located : on the beach of the mar menor (considered as the bigest pool of the world with its hot water and no waves), within 10 minuts on foot from the regional parc "salinas de San pedro" (access to the mediteranean sea, famous mud bath, walking and biking itinary, beaches...) and 5 from the Parc del Mar. It is located on the fourth level without elevator : nothing better for daily recommended exercice and you will enjoy the panoramic view on the town and the beach!

I love to travel and felt in love for this flat once I was staying in San Pedro. I was dreaming to buy a flat near the sea in a beautiful and attractive place, not far from the nature where I like to walk and to meditate : this lovely flat near the regional parc was a real opportunity!
