The Garden House is a charming two-story guesthouse with two spacious double bedrooms, set in serene gardens for complete privacy and tranquility. Accessible via a quaint bridge, it enjoys a separate entrance from the main house. Ideally located, it’s just a 5-minute drive to the luxurious Rancho Valencia resort and The Farms Golf Club. The beaches of Del Mar and Solana Beach are 15 minutes away, with Torrey Pines Beach reachable in 20 minutes.

First Floor: The open-plan lounge features two large sofas, coffee tables, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning garden views. A galley kitchen is fully equipped with a two-ring stovetop, large fridge/freezer, smart oven, microwave, dishwasher, and sink. There were some awesome cookbooks, Trader Joe’s 5 min away, and everything you’d need to prep and cook a family meal. The location is unbeatable as many eats, sights, shops are all within an easy 5-15 minutes drive. We will be back! If looking for a home away from home - this has it all and some!"

Jacuzzi is available but limited due to the fact that the entire property operates on propane and running the jacuzzi no more than 1 hour a day is optimal. Rancho Santa Fe is a charming and historic village in San Diego’s North County. The village has a green and wonderful restaurants and cafes as well as 50 miles of trails, numerous golf courses and equestrian facilities.

Del Mar racetrack/fair is minutes away as is Fletcher Cove, Cardiff State Beach, Del Mar Dog Beach, San Dieguito Lagoon and San Elijo Lagoon State Marine Conservation Area.

We are ideally placed between LegoLand, San Diego Zoo, Safari Park and SeaWorld - all less than 30 minutes away. Gaslamp Quarter and Balboa Park are just 30 minutes away too.

North County truly has everything; from five-star dining at Addison to authentic Mexican food, craft brew tasting rooms, urban wineries, and seaside bars. Enjoy our serene and beautiful loft apartment in south Rancho Santa Fe. The space is upstairs over the garage attached to our main home but separated by a locked internal door. Quiet and private retreat on garden like 2 acre estate. Kid friendly and just minutes from the beach, fair grounds, restaurants, golf, horse riding, and shopping. This spacious 900 sq ft getaway includes wifi, two flat screen TVs, kitchenette, dining table, King bed, additional two twin XL beds that can convert to a King, and a queen airbed for additional guests. 7 miles from the beach, 2.5 miles from Trader Joe's.

We recently added a kitchenette with new appliances and island bar. You'll notice airy vaulted ceilings in the living room and master suite with sky lights in each bed room. Beautiful views of the property from all windows. The area is very quiet so sleeping with the windows open is ideal.

There are 18 Macadamia-nut trees on the southeast and southwest areas of the property. The largest is near the patio chairs by the main house. We have a gazebo and Zen garden on the west end of the property and an antique windmill transplanted here from Fairbanks Ranch.

The property is completely fenced with a private gate and long driveway. Guests access the apartment via private entrance upstairs above the garage. Private entrance has an electronic keypad. Guests can park near the stairs. There are small walking access gates on the northwest and southwest of the property.

On the lower part of the property is a dramatic disappearing edge swimming pool with expansive views, and a spa (hot tub) to bask in the San Diego sun.

ROOM DESCRIPTIONS:
The master bedroom offers a California King bed with cool cotton sheets and down pillows for a great night's sleep. This bedroom looks out to the colorful succulent garden and you will wake up to a mix of different plants and textures highlighted by the rising morning sun. The master bathroom offers plenty of space for getting ready in the morning, a dual-head shower, double sinks, and is accented with natural stone.

The second bedroom has a writing desk w/ chair, a bureau, offers plenty of light, and a large window with amazing expansive views of the valley and beyond. The bathroom has a granite-lined shower and doubles as a powder room.

There is a comfortable den that is perfect for watching TV and relaxing at the end of the day fireside. The sunroom is filled with morning light, surrounded by windows, garden views, and is perfect for yoga or as an office space. The formal living room has plenty of space for relaxing, reading a book, or just enjoying the expansive views. The formal dining room includes a rustic old-world table with breathtaking views of the valley and the swimming pool area. From this room, you can also see one of the few sculptures by artist Bruno Romeda that was featured in Architectural Digest last century.

The resort-style disappearing edge swimming pool has plenty of seating, lounge chairs, and a table for dining al-fresco. The hot tub is available for use during pool hours. The pool is not heated. The pool is limited to use between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The pool is accessed via sloping stairways. Occasionally the pool is shared with others.

This home is ideal for those looking for understated luxury in a historic community setting filled with towering eucalyptus trees. Keep in mind that this is an older home so expect quirks that come with classic structures of the past.

Only minutes to Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, Solana Beach, and Encinitas. A short drive to most beaches, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, San Diego, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Coronado, and Seaworld.

There are several great restaurants in town and grocery shopping is available in Del Mar, Solana Beach, and Encinitas. This is a quiet neighborhood perfect for relaxation and a peaceful stay.

NOTE: There is an Ultralux Water Machine installed in the kitchen for simply cleaner, purer, and superior drinking water. The machine uses robust reverse osmosis, UVC filtration technology while adding health-stimulating, antioxidant-rich hydrogen.

All areas of the house have been cleaned following health authority cleaning guidelines. All high-touch surfaces have been sanitized with disinfectant. Two bedrooms, a den that works as a third bedroom (has a sofabed and one open wall to living room. Wood room divider helps create privacy when being used as a third bedroom). Two full bathrooms. Space for two cars only.

It is on the South side of a 5 acre private property. Guests have access to the front yard of the rental which is quite large as well as two large porches on the front and on the back of the house (the property behind the house is off limits to renters).

The Main House is on the North side of the property with a separate driveway. There is plenty of space between the houses. The feeling although you can see other houses, is like being in the woods.

To the West and West North of the guest house are two other houses - both used for quiet businesses (which require quiet and respectful neighbors).

There is nature and space between all four buildings on the property/compound. The rental House has a separate driveway that the businesses share. The Main House has its own driveway.

The rental house itself is very private inside and has some private outside areas on patios and in the front yard of the House.

There are stairs going up to the front and back door. There is an electric chair in the garage that could be used for someone that is in a wheel chair or is challenged with stairs.

Once in the house, there are two stairs to go into the den (sofa bed) and two stairs to go to the other bedrooms. The area outside is rustic and almost like being in the woods (filled with succulents, Pine, Eucalyptus, and Pepper Trees. Guests will have the whole House with full access to front yard and back porch.

We do not want guests wandering around the back side of the property as that is where the Hosts live. There is plenty of space to sit on the front and back patios to enjoy the quiet and nature.

- "So the description is exactly as described. there is not much of an outside area for gatherings. Very very beautiful location. Bed and pillows could be upgraded. Guest home adjacent to pool, therefore you could hear other guests. Did quite down after 10pm. Easy checkout" - "We - 2 adults and 2 teenage boys (15+16) stayed at Sean's place for 3 nights and had a great time. Sean was lovely and was there to meet us when we arrived. Communication went fluent and he gave us a good tour of the property. The property itself was also very nice and had everything we expected: full equiped kitchen, bathroom, living room, outside space,... you name it. If I have to give a remark it's that the garbage wasn't taken out and there were some ants but we this was easily resolved by putting the bin outside. A tip I would give for the beds: maybe place a wooden bar on the floor so the beds don't move ;-) The beds have wheels and they easily move when you turn around in your sleep. But these were really small details. We had a lovely time and would stay here again if ever we're back in San Diego!"

- VIDEO & PHOTOGRAPHY: There shall be no video, still photography or film production of any kind without the express written consent of the owner. Fees apply.
- SMOKING: This home and all Vacation Rentals by Kimberly properties are strictly non-smoking. Smoking of any kind is not permitted anywhere on the premises. A minimum $250 fee will be charged if evidence of smoking is found.

PLEASE NOTE!
- Please take note that this home is NOT baby and/or child proofed. It is your responsibility to walk the home and/or property upon arrival, to make this space safe for your children. We assume no liability for harm/death to any baby or child staying or visiting this vacation rental.
- Please note that early check-ins and late check-outs are available at our discretion. There are extra fees for either of these add-ons when available.
- There are exterior surveillance cameras recording 24/7. The cameras are on the side of the house and facing driveway, above garage
- There is no pack n play or highchair.
- The pool is not fenced and there is no spa.
- The pool is heated and it is only 4 feet deep.
- This home has a narrow, spiral staircase between both levels. Please know large luggage will be difficult to fit through the staircase.
- There is no door to the bedroom.
- There are only beach towels, no other beach gear.
- This house is on a shared lot and is completely private from the main house. There is a wall and gate separating the properties. This home has its own patio, driveway, fire pit, and small pool.
- Upper level (where the bedroom is) has real wood flooring. It has been sanded and painted.
- Kindly note that the bottom level features polished concrete flooring which, while meticulously cleaned, might feel cooler and retain a unique texture. We suggest bringing along cozy socks or slippers for added comfort during your stay.
- The upper level (where the bedroom is) has window coverings, the rest of the home does not.

CANCELLATION POLICY
- A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty, aside from a $500 restocking fee.
- Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment (not including deposit and cleaning fee).
- Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. If you wish to shorten your existing reservation with VRBKIM, and your reservation is further than 30 days away, we do charge a $100 restocking fee to make this adjustment.

Parties and Overoccupancy Policy:
- If the guest violates any of our rules regarding noise, parties, or overoccupancy, and the host receives complaints from neighbors, a $500 fine will be imposed per occurrence. In addition, should these allegations be found true, the guest will be subject to immediate eviction without a refund.
