Cozy home in good neighborhood close to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, hospitals, highways. Bedroom is on 2nd floor with a queen size bed, window a/c, blackout curtains, and a TV (you will need a fire stick or Roku). The living area is on the first floor - open concept kitchen, living, & dining room with the bathroom. Depending on your length of stay(over 30 days), we may need to access the home for routine maintenance but will communicate with you. No Smoking, No Pets allowed.
The bedroom features a nice comfortable queen size bed, two nightstands with lamps, a bureau, and a wardrobe closet. TV provided, if you have a Roku or Firestick, you should bring that to connect to the Wi-Fi to watch your shows. The home is mostly finished with updated renovations to the Kitchen, Living room, and Dining room. Just some small cosmetics need to be completed and will be worked on in between guest visits. There are security cameras that monitor the front entrances of the house, the driveway, and the backyard for your safety as well as insurance purposes.

Situated at the end of a quiet road, in a picturesque neighborhood is this quaint, water front cottage; the perfect combination of quintessential lake experience with all the conveniences of modern living. The original structure dates back to 1897 and has been updated with all the modern amenities. From the back porch french doors open to the dining room, which flows into a fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, electric stove, refrigerator, microwave oven and an island for casual meals. Walking through the dining room brings you to the living room, preserved from the original 1897 structure, visible in the ceiling beams and the paneling, but updated with hardwood flooring and fireplace. Off this room is the cozy study, perfect for working on your computer, reading, resting or playing one of the board games found in the cupboard. Beyond the living room is the sun-room. A large tiled area enclosed with sliding glass doors on three sides, and a dining area for enjoying meals while taking in the panoramic view of the lake. There is a small dry-bar and a lovely sitting area for relaxing, entertaining or watching television. Through the sliding glass doors is the large deck, complete with deck furniture, gas grill, and stairs that lead to the private dock. The second floor is accessed from a winding staircase off the living room. There are three bedrooms, each with lovely views of beautiful Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg (a.k.a. Webster Lake). Occupants of the two front bedrooms can open the windows at night and drift gently to sleep with the soft sounds of waves lapping the shore. In the bedroom at the top of the stairs there is a full size bed and the third bedroom contains twin beds, a loft and a small sitting deck accessed by a sliding-glass door and spiral staircase. - "The lakeside cottage is really a lovely older home with modern updates . It has charm and character. The kitchen is well equipped with pot,pans and dishes. An expansive family room and deck look out onto a beautiful lake. Perfect for morning coffee and sunrises as well as whole day relaxation. The grounds are neat and plentiful planters provide pops of color. My family and i were very impressed and look forward to another visit next summer."

Recently renovated three-story home with large deck and lower patio with direct access to the lake. All three levels have spectacular views across the widest part of Webster Lake. The main floor has cathedral ceiling, large open kitchen, dining/living room with gas fireplace, 1 bedroom and a full bath. The second floor includes a reading nook with amazing views of the lake, master bedroom and full bath (shower only). The lower floor includes a media room with large flat screen TV, recliner couch that could sleep 2 and 1 large master bedroom.

The home is part of a private point at the end of a picturesque road with cottages and family homes. The Point extends into Middle Pond, the largest of the three ponds that make up Webster Lake. The lake side of the house offers a panoramic view of Middle Pond and the master bedroom even has a view of the cove at the back side of Point.

The home was renovated to add the second-floor master bedroom suite and features modern amenities throughout including central heat and air conditioning, Japanese washlet toilets, a central Sonos sound system with built in speakers in most rooms, patio and deck. The side yard features a covered swing set, table and chairs for enjoying the afternoon sun.

It is a modern energy efficient home powered by solar and includes a charging station for electric and hybrid cars, so you can drive on the sun!
The main floor is where most people gather in the living room (with a quaint gas stove) and dining room with a table that seats eight and the adjacent open kitchen. The 300 square foot deck off the dining room is also a favorite gathering spot. The picnic table seats six with additional seating and gas grill nearby. This is the spot for your group photo at sunrise or when the nearby islands are bathed in the gloaming light as the sun sets behind you.

The main floor features one of the bedrooms and the full bath with tub/shower and toilet.

The kitchen features a modern large capacity fridge with pull out freezer and automatic ice maker, gas stove/oven with convection baking option, dishwasher, toaster oven, drip and Keurig style coffee makers. The convection microwave also be used as a second oven when selecting "Convection Bake" feature. There are enough plates/bowls/silverware for 16 so no need for disposable paper plates and plastic cutlery! Deluxe non-stick cookware, an Instant Pot, rice steamer, ice cream maker round out the kitchen conveniences. The home is stocked with condiments, cooking oils, spices and bowls to whip up your favorite recipes.

The lower level of the home contains the former master bedroom (prior to the renovation), media room as well as the laundry room with large capacity washer/dryer. The bedroom closet has beach towels and life vests for kayaking, swimming, etc. The media room has a cushy three-person reclining sofa and two reclining chairs (one swivels). The media room also features a large flat screen TV with surround sound speakers.
The media room on the lower level walks out to the main lake patio and lower level views of Webster Lake. A three-step concrete staircase will take you into the lake (it is a bit rocky on this part of the lake, but the water is crystal clear and oh so inviting for swimming, sunrise and fishing. The dock extends out 30’ into the Middle Pond and is your fishing and jump in the lake spot.

The 500 square foot patio is just above lake level and is another peaceful vantage point of lake life. The curved stone walls and elegant paver stone patio are a great spot for rainy and hot day refuge, or for outdoor lovers who don’t like too much sun (you can position one of the six lounge chairs, so just your legs or face are in the sun). The main deck above you is waterproofed so it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy even on a rainy day, or in the evening after sunset.

The new 600 square foot master bedroom suite is carpeted and features a king size bed, bureau and night stands. Your dog might enjoy the fabric dog cabin and dog bed. There is a walk in closet and modern bathroom with Japanese style powered washlet toilet and double size shower.
This level has a very light feel with skylights in both bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has a loft feel to it with a large picture window and lake views but privacy from noise and light if you prefer that. (Perhaps dark and quiet by night and open and airy by day.) Outside the bedroom there is a reading nook with comfy chair and lamp that looks out through the two-story window wall onto the lake. Imagine curling up there with your Kindle, a book or the Sunday paper and a cup of coffee. Now that’s really lake life!

Amenities include central heat/AC, WiFi, basic cable, electricity, trash/recycling pick-up, washer/dryer, private dock, parking for several cars (including a car charging outlet). The home is just a few minutes from a supermarket, liquor store, convenience stores, gas stations and a variety of restaurants (Thai food to steak houses). You’ll find fine dining within a 20-minute drive in Worcester, MA or historic Putnam and Woodstock, CT.

You are within an hour of Red Sox games and historic Boston as well as Providence and the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, and discount outlets in Wrentham, MA. You are within 90 minutes of Hartford, Springfield and a few hours from the Berkshires, and the ski areas of New Hampshire.

- "What an amazing house and location. The views from the house were only rivaled by the spectacular sights seen from the deck. Each bedroom was extremely comfortable and the kitchen plenty big enough to have great dinners each night. Most days were spent either bobbing in the crystal clear water or kayaking the enormous lake with its multitude of coves and islands. Interestingly enough we had a film being made next door to us from 10pm-4am for several nights. No fault of the owners but this created some difficulties for those that liked to go to bed early and wake up early for the sunrises. We enjoyed a free Water Skiing show at the local beach and enjoyed some great seafood at the local restaurant. The only issue we had were a couple minor damages being claimed caused by us that were present when we arrived. Just shows that us renters need to make sure we notate any issues we see to the owners right away, no matter how minor we feel it may be and to always get the insurance to cover any disagreements. I would definitely recommend this house for a scenic relaxing week to anyone and hopefully we can find the time to go back!"

This is a second floor walk up, with a full flight of stairs out side. We use two additional rooms upstairs as storage and a guest room, that are separated from unit with lockable doors.

Entering the home is a great room: large living room with a 75” TV hanging from the ceiling. When sitting on the large leather sectional couch you have a lake view across the entire living room. Open kitchen sits behind the living room with lake view. Newly renovated full bath off of the kitchen.
First floor has a queen bed. Second floor has new full bath, washer and dryer and 3 bedrooms, 2 king beds and 1 queen. Each bedroom has a 55” TV and small refrigerator. There are also 2 full size refrigerators, 1 in kitchen 1 in breezeway.
The yard has a beautiful patio and large firepit overlooking the lake.

Private rustic cottage on 7 acres of woods. This 2-bedroom cottage at the end of a long driveway offers privacy and tranquility. Just two miles from grocery shopping, restaurants, Dunkin, a clothing store, and highways going N and S, this retreat nevertheless feels like you're miles away from the hustle and bustle. It's nothing fancy, but it sure feels good to be here. Eight miles north to the Massachusetts border. Eight miles east to the Rhode Island border (check out the adorable town of Chepatchet!)

The largest room is the great room, great for visiting with friends and family. Fully lined with knotty pine for the complete rustic vibe. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it's approximately 15x25'. Although the massive stone fireplace is not to be used due to fire concerns, it is a wonderful spotlight in the home. From the picture windows in the great room, depending on the season you can watch birds, enjoy the sound of rain, watch snow drifting down on the trees. I have spent many hours sitting at the dining room table, working and just looking out the window. I find it a very peaceful place, and I hope you do as well.

The bedrooms are modestly furnished but comfortable. Double beds (so if you need a queen, this house probably won't suit your needs), a dresser in each bedroom, a closet in each bedroom, night table and table lamps. Both bedrooms have three windows each to bring in maximum sunlight for the woodsy setting. The bathroom is also modest but has everything you could need to start your day: shower, tub, sink, toilet, soap, and towels. The kitchen is stocked with basic dishes and cooking accessories (pots, pans, silverware, etc.), a dishwasher, range top, oven, and refrigerator. Coffeemaker, toaster, microwave, simple wine glasses, corkscrew, are included.

The oak floor in the great room was recently redone to bring back its original beauty. Consequently, please leave your shoes by the front door. That's a house rule.

This is an 1800s saltbox replica with large windows overlooking pine, oak, and red maple trees, as well as a wall that shows off the foundation stones. The in-law studio has a private entrance on the ground floor with a small private deck, full double-sink bathroom with a unique spa-like shower, a coffee maker, a water bubbler, a microwave/air fryer, and refrigerator. There is one queen bed with a very comfortable bamboo mattress and down duvet. The kitchenette area has a table that can double as a place to work remotely (with great wifi). There is a large closet, as well as a cozy couch where you can watch Netflix and live TV, or look out at the beautiful scenery. You also have private access to a grill. The (unheated) pool and hot tub are surrounded by trees and are accessible 24 hours (pool is open April-October). The three-floor barn is home to chickens, ducks, goat, sheep, a mini horse, and pigs, our animal rescues through our small non-profit, The Farmette Sanctuary.

This is a great place to rest and rejuvenate during your stay while never leaving the property (Doordash delivers!), or take advantage of the many things to do nearby - go on a hike at the Thompson dam or a local state park, visit Old Sturbridge Village (the largest living museum in the Northeast), or listen to live music at a brewery or pub.

My wife, dogs (Bentley, Sparkle, and Polly), and I live on the other floors of the house and love welcoming folks to our space. We are happy to give you a tour and share about the property, or give you space to have a private getaway.

You will have private access to the studio. The unheated pool, hot tub, garden, barn, and trail are shared use.

Hosts live on the main/second floor and will be around and available to answer questions or help as needed.

There is no lifeguard on duty. The pool area is gated off - please exercise caution and safety and swim/enjoy the hot tub at your own risk. Note that the wood planks around the pool are wobbly, please walk carefully and use caution as you enter/exit the pool. Additionally, please use extreme caution if using the outdoor rock steps to get to the studio entrance (please note that there is only one step if you enter by the garage side).

Please be sure to include in your booking if you will bring a child or a pet with you on your visit. We set up the space slightly differently if we are expecting children or dogs, and it’s important for us to know who is staying in our home. Please note there is a $50 pet fee and we have a Pack and Play available for young children.

Please note there is no stovetop in the space - no stovetop cooking is allowed as there is no exhaust fan in the kitchenette. You have private access to an outdoor grill, and a cast iron skillet and saucepan are provided for your use on the grill as well as oil, salt, pepper, and basic cooking utensils. Be sure to use the oven mit when holding the handles as they get very HOT on the grill. Dirty dishes can be placed in the basket and left outside if you would like us to wash them overnight (please inform us if you would like this service. You can also wash them using the dish soap provided in the bathroom).

The Farmette is in a Rural Residential Agricultural District. That means there's a local mix of residences and farms (livestock and agriculture). While you get a rural feel, we're only a few minute drive away from grocery stores, shops, etc.

Guests will need a car as there is no local public transportation. The farmette is only 3 minutes from Exit 50 off of interstate 395, so you can quickly get to Thompson center, Putnam, or Webster (grocery stores, Target, restaurants, etc within 10-15 min). There is plenty of parking space available on the farmette, including for trailers.

You walk into a porch-enclosed kitchen with all the basics (pots, pans, salt, pepper, oil), including a stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, and a French press. There is also a grill and outdoor pizza oven for your cooking needs.As you enter the cabin you are greeted by wood-paneled walls and a vaulted ceiling with plenty of sunshine streaming through the windows. Enjoy a home cooked meal or order out on Doordash. Fire up the wood stove to heat up the cabin quickly, and pass the evening by the fire watching TV (smart TV with Netflix and the internet), or making a fire in the huge fire pit outside by the water. This sauna experience comes with towels, essential oils for steam, a cold plunge tub, and water to drink. It is available by appointment - we start the wood fire for you and you can keep it going as long as you’d like. In the cold weather months, it is invigorating to jump in the cold plunge tub, or even the snow, once you’re hot. Cost is $95, with a $40 nonrefundable deposit required at the time of booking. Please let us know when during your stay you’d like to reserve the sauna so that we can have it ready for you. Available year round.
No soap, shampoo, or conditioner rinsing allowed inside the sauna. The sauna requires knowledge of how to run a wood stove. We will set it up, and you can maintain it at your preferred temperature. Bathing suits are required and all medical advice must be followed. If you need help when using the sauna, please call us.
FOREST BATHS - Please reserve at time of booking - $75 deposit, $150 for tubs.
Take a bath of your dreams - soaking in a beautiful cast-iron tub (hot water available on-demand) under the stars, overlooking the pond and watching the ducks. This forest bath comes with herbs and flowers from our garden when in season. Cost is $150 for both tubs, with a $75 nonrefundable deposit required at the time of booking. Milk baths are $20 extra. Please let us know when during your stay you’d like to reserve the forest baths so that we can have them ready for you. Available seasonally until the weather is consistently below freezing.

***PLEASE NOTE that the shower, with hot water, is located outside the cabin. It is about 30 feet from the front door of the cabin. The water heats up very quickly, and you get to listen to the birds while showering outdoors! There is an indoor standard bathroom with a toilet and a sink as well, available until the temperatures are consistently below freezing.
POTENTIAL FOR NOISE - During the work week, listen to the soothing freight train travel across the river 2-3 times a day, sounding its whistle as it rumbles through the area (about 3 minutes each time). There is also acreage across the river where ATV riders ride sometimes.
PLEASE NOTE you are renting a cabin with a rustic outdoorsy feel. Wildlife is all around you including mice, bugs, birds, snakes, coyotes, deer, beavers, and many, many other critters. If you are into the outdoors this place is for you. If unexpected interactions with wildlife is NOT your thing then this is not the place for you!
*****WINTER GUIDANCE*****
Winter is beautiful at Frog Hollow. We provide snow shoes for exploring, and there are local cross country ski trails and ice fishing spots nearby. During the winter months (once the temperature is consistently below freezing, until it is consistently above), a wood stove is the only source of heat in the cabin. Knowing how to use a wood stove is ABSOLUTELY required. We will set up the wood stove, and you can maintain it at your preferred temperature throughout your stay. DO NOT leave the wood stove door open. Embers can easily pop out and cause harm. Please note there is no running water in the cabin during the winter months - a heated bath house includes a top-of-the-line no odor Separett Villa composting toilet, a shower with on-demand hot water, and a hand sink. The indoor bathroom will be unavailable throughout the winter.
**If booking in the winter, in your reservation request please acknowledge you have read and understood the three important points below:
- Making a fire in a wood stove is a lovely thing, AND you must do it well in order to stay warm. If you have never worked a wood stove before, we will provide you with detailed instructions. We would highly recommend you arrive before dark rather than late at night.
- The toilet and hot shower used during winter months are in the heated bath house, located about 15 steps from the front door.
- There is NO running water inside the cabin during the winter. We provide a water bubbler that dispenses hot and cold water, as well as two 5-gallon BPA free jugs of water to use for cooking.
Guests have full access to the cabin and the surrounding property.
We live on the property, so if you need anything please call or text.
Frog Hollow is in a rural agricultural district. That means there's a mix of residences and farms (agricultural and livestock). While you get a rural feel, we're only 10-15 minutes from grocery stores, dog parks, shops, etc.
You will need a car to get around.
The owners live on an adjoining property.
We're dog friendly! Please feel free to bring along your furbabies (up to 2!), no puppies or cats please, include them in your listing (for a $75 pet fee) and ensure that you pick up after them. We have provided doggy bags to make this as convenient as possible.
Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the cabin and in the screened-in porch.
Our goal is to create a cabin that meets a need that we had when we were searching for a cabin ourselves, a place that is more special and private than a hotel room, where we could relax by the water and make an easy meal. A place that was updated and simple, yet has a cozy and special feel. A place that was centrally located and still provided more privacy than a hotel room with people above, below, and beside you.

- "This adorable cottage was perfect for my husband, 2 small dogs, and me. We docked our fishing boat. Put the dogs on runs and basically lived in the back yard. It was quiet and somewhat shielded from neighbors. The outdoor dining room under the porch was an unexpected gem. The cottage is small, particularly the bedrooms. We slept in one and put our clothes in the other. But it’s super clean and the public space was more than enough room for us. The air conditioners cooled the house well, but if you like open windows bring a fan for the bedrooms. Loved doing a puzzle at the table on the porch watching the boats go by. We hope to rent again next summer!"

Mason, at the time, Thompson’s most powerful and wealthiest resident, the structure is matched by few others of its style in the state.
