Completely updated in 2015, this home offers splendid, unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean and Minot Lighthouse. The privately owned beach is primarily a stone studded beach with areas of sand and stone. The sand and stone mix can change daily and is accessed from eleven steps off the seawall.

We do our best to maintain the furniture in the three seasons porch area; however, unpredicted weather and ocean mist can dampen the cushions/rug so we just want to be fully transparent with guests on the matter!

Scituate is a quaint seaside town that offers the charm of Cape Cod without the traffic. This friendly community boasts a beautiful harbor with unique speciality shops. There are grocery stores, a movie theater, a basketball court, a bowling alley, golf courses and many restaurants that will appeal to all ages.
This recently renovated cottage is situated on a private section of Sand Hills Beach and can accommodate 4 parked cars on the property. The beach is primarily stone studded but changes with every storm. Beach is accessed from 6 steps off the seawall and beach stairs are not available in September and October. (All beach photos are taken from the patio, water shoes are recommended.) A sandier public beach is 6 houses away. And there are several other public beaches within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the house.
The first floor has an open floor plan. And the well equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There is a half bath with a stackable laundry unit off the kitchen and an outdoor shower head. (not enclosed). The dining room seats 8 comfortably and is open to the family room, which has A/C, a ceiling fan, comfy seating and a large screen TV above the fireplace. Games,toys,movies, puzzles, cards, wireless speaker and more can be found in the entertainment unit. And a wall of windows showcases the panoramic views.
A sliding glass door leads to a covered porch/patio and the open ocean. The patio has plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas, corn hole game, kayak, paddle board,life jackets,outdoor checkers and a propane grill.
The second level has a full bath with tiled shower stall ( no tub) and 4 modestly sized yet private bedrooms. The 4 bedrooms have A/C window units, closets and ceiling fans. 3 bedrooms have flat screen TVs.
Hardwood and tile floors along with white washed wooden ceilings are some of the updated finishes. The entire cottage has Wifi and is also heated. It is not available during the winter or for long term bookings. Rent based on 7 guests. Extra fees for the 8th guest will be applied. The sleeping arrangements can accommodate a MAX of 8 guests, including children and infants. Larger groups should keep in mind the cottage has limited space in bedrooms. And one indoor shower. There’s a beach next door (a 2 min walk along the water) that has a low tide that was great for boogie boarding, evening swimming, and more. Directly in front of the house is a rocky area - that was great to find crabs and other sea creatures at low tide (the 12ish year olds loved it). We felt so warmly welcomed into the house and loved that some left over condiments were kept in the fridge and cabinets to save us from buying every slice we might need. Beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, coffee to welcome us - the outdoor shower - the 2 levels of decking - make that 3 with the bedroom decks included - all the windows and two sets of screen doors…made the house perfect for a summer time experience. We also had such easy access to do other activities from there - we road bikes into the harbor to see the lighthouse and hang on the jetty, or to get lunch, when the kids wanted a break from the beach we drove to Starland, we did a ton. I can’t not mention - we could hear the ocean waves from every bedroom - whether beach facing or not - it was such a great way to fall asleep and wake up - bonus! We had a great week with many thanks to George for making us feel welcomed and at home."

The apartment is a walk in lower level. Within walking distance 0.3 mile to Scituate Harbor, shops, restaurants, and just under mile to beach. Experience true oceanfront living all day long! Start off your mornings with the stunning view of the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean and embrace the sweeping view of the dynamic waves. For an alfresco dining experience, you're welcome to use the grill, outdoor dinnerware, and paper goods for a convenient seaside barbecue! In addition, you can bring back the freshest seafood from Scituate's Mullaney's Harborside Fish Market or Island Creek Oyster Farm to enjoy with the amazing ocean view in the comfort of this home. At night, you can continue to enjoy the ocean views with the stadium light that shines over the ocean for a spectacular view.

🪴 LIVING AREAS: This home boasts two living areas for you and your group to spread out and enjoy. The home opens up to the main, family-friendly living room that is bathed in a plentiful amount of natural light, features a 57 inch TV, and can comfortably seat all guests. The additional living space, the "Sitting Room," has a 48 inch TV and a slider glass door to the front porch. This Sitting Room is adjacent to the bedroom with two twin beds (Bedroom #4) and has a door curtain for privacy. Guests of Bedroom #4 can use the Sitting Room for additional space.

🛏️ BEDROOMS :
This home features two upstairs bedrooms (king and queen) and two downstairs bedrooms (queen and two twins). The full bathrooms are located across or next to the bedrooms on each floor. You will be lulled to sleep by the beautiful sounds of the ocean tides while enjoying the comfortable beds. All bedroom windows are outfitted with blackout and room darkening curtains/shades for you to sleep in! The upstairs, King bedroom (BR#1) features a wet sink, mini fridge and a private patio (can be used as a separate entry, too)

🥞 KITCHEN:
The fully stocked kitchen is ready for you to create your favorite meals. Amenities include Keurig with hot/cold milk frother (coffee pods and sugar packets included), drip coffee machine, french press, electric kettle, 64 oz. Ninja blender, children dinnerware, sippy cups, 6 qt Multi-Use Instant Pot (pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker all-in-one), toaster and more! Additional kitchen amenities can be requested, if not already included.

🧸 AMENITIES FOR CHILDREN:
0-24 Month bathtub, children toys/books, BPA-free kid dinnerware (plates, sippy cups, cups, bowls, flatware), children board games, baby clothes hangers.
Children safety supplies: 2 door knob covers, socket covers, Safety 1st Cabinet Slide Locks. The kitchen walk-in pantry and guest closet have door latches that are out of reach of children. Children supplies are available upon request.

The Cedar Point neighborhood is home to Sandhills beach, Museum Beach, and the beautiful coastal residencies. Residents and visitors routinely walk through the neighborhood soaking up the beautiful scenery and fresh sea air. You will truly enjoy this neighborhood!

PARKING: Up to 4 small - mid sized cars can park in front of the house. A full sized large SUV or a full sized truck will reduce the parking space to 2-3 spots.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: This home is conveniently located just 10 minutes away from the Greenbush Commuter Train Station. This train is a great option for an easy trip and will take you right into Boston!

BEACH and EAT/SHOP: Sandhills beach and Lighthouse park are 5 minute walking distance away or 2 minute drive. Museum beach is 9 minute walking distance away or 3 minute drive. The Scituate Harbor Cultural District, the local seaside village with shops and restaurants, is around the corner and ample parking is available. This district focuses on small businesses.

- "Super cute coastal retreat right on the water with comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ grill to cook just like you’re at home, great spaces inside and outside to enjoy the ocean breeze. The deck overlooking the water has lots of seating - we enjoyed sipping coffee (Keurig bonus!) and nighttime star gazing. The tech in this home was such a delightful surprise several charging stations they supplied every USB you can think of, digital gameboard, and nice sized smart TVs. Superb location to walk to the beach, lighthouse or downtown Scituate. We can’t wait to come back!!"

The beauty from morning until night creates a relaxed and memorable experience for all who visit. The property has plenty of parking spaces. The home is walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Scituate Harbor. A walk to and from Old Scituate Light is a perfect 1 mile loop. A general store is located around the corner, where kids can enjoy an after dinner ice cream cone. Swim in front of the house or walk a block to the end of the street to access a public sandy beach with lifeguards.

- "This home is gorgeous with views of the lighthouse and harbor from almost every window. Our extended family, ages 7-70, enjoyed every moment of this vacation and even decided to skip a trip to explore Boston to continue relaxing on the porch while watching the kids kayak, paddleboard, and play in the water. I have stayed in over 20 VRBO or Airbnb homes and this one is BY FAR the best stocked. From a full cabinet of spices to full-sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in every bathroom, you will have everything you need immediately upon arrival. Also, every bed is extremely comfortable! I literally fell asleep and woke every morning to the sound of the ocean gently breaking on the rocks. I even recorded an audio clip from my window so that I can listen to “my waves” when I need a moment of relaxation now that I am back in the real world. Linda is extremely sweet, answered all questions promptly, and even texted us to ensure all was well with our trip."
