- "I don't know how we have never stayed in a Residence Inn before, but we loved it. We mainly use hotels as a place to sleep and a base while we are in the area for something else, ie. visiting NYC or traveling for hockey tournaments. The rooms at this property were like a small apartment, with an actual kitchen! There was also a full breakfast buffet included, and I found the food to be very good as far as hotel buffets go. I liked this property so much that I will start seeking Residence Inns as first choice when looking for a place to stay on trips where the top priority is a place to sleep and serve as home base."

- "Quiet and cozy. Clean, up to date interior. The bed is extremely comfortable. This is obviously a secondary structure on the property which has been renovated into a cottage. This is more of an in-law suite airbnb situation rather than a vacation rental. Take note: THIS COTTAGE IS IN SOMEONE'S BACK YARD, and you can see directly into the primary house's windows. That was unexpected and discomforting. These photos are deceptive as to how much privacy there is, as well as the roominess of the interior. Photos have been taken with a wide angle lens, which manipulates the perspective. You can hear the interstate from the yard. This may be an issue for some people. The owners left food in the fridge, and clothes in the bedroom closet, which made us feel like we were staying in someone's home. Weird for us, maybe not for everyone. These are things that I wish we had known going into our stay, which is why I'm sharing it in the review for others to read. Over all, we had a great time, it was quiet and comfortable, and it was just enough room for the two of us."

Something for everyone during any season. Our beautiful lake front property is located on Johnsons pond. Activities on site include, Fishing, kayaking, paddle boat, Bar B queing, swimming, Biking close to trail, building a fire on the pit. When the weather is not so good there's a woodstove in living room, beautiful views of lake, cable, movies, board games, cooking in well equipt kitchen, and don't forget music studio on 2nd floor with instruments and karoake capabilities. Very relaxing with perfect environmnet for reading or quiet time. Other ammenities close by: Golf, shopping Stop shop, BJ's, Wal Mart, Home depot. Many great Restaurants and bakeries close by as well.

There were enough rooms for everyone, and lots of great communal space and multiple sitting areas both inside and out. The pool was fabulous with plenty of floats and noodles so we didn’t feel any need to go to the neighborhood beach. We enjoyed the kayaks. Samantha was responsive and helpful. - "We enjoyed our stay here. The host was wonderful. Try to arrive before it's dark, so you can understand the layout of the area. The firepit was great. The area was nestled in a peaceful neighborhood. There is no TV, but there is wi-fi if you would like to stream from a tablet or smart phone. The ground is covered in gravel, so you do not have to worry about mud or dirt. Everything that you need for a relaxing weekend is there. If not, the host was very helpful. He even gave us some butter to fry some eggs that we brought, as well as some bug repellent just in case. There was plenty of firewood for the firepit and an outdoor gas grill. Definitely recommend!"

- "The home was beautiful, even though it was clean the floor needed to be vacuumed there were crumbs on the kitchen floor and gnats all over the bathroom floor.There were no extra blankets for the pull out couch, so we had to purchase some. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again. "

Located well off the main roads, in the woods in western Coventry, R.I on one of the best and quietest lakes anyhere. There is a sandy beach, with gradual slope into the water – ideal for kids. A boat is available, with plenty of opportunities for fishing and water exploring. A YMCA camp directly across the lake offers swimming lessons and other activities for kids. Or you can just sit on the beach or the dock and relax with a good book.
The house itself has a large living/dining area, kitchen, master bedroom with queen bed, adjacent bunkroom with two extra-long bunks, sleeping loft (a favorite with kids) with one double bed and a convertible that makes two twin beds, and a large screened-in porch. There are hiking trails behind the house, but the main feature is the lake and related activities.
For those who like to wander a little, the location is near several ocean beaches, summer theatres, shopping malls, good restaurants, and the city of Newport.

- "Wonderful time at the lake! It's the perfect little slice of heaven!" - "Rocky Hollow Cottage is a charming rural retreat about 30 minutes from Providence. With vintage comfortable furniture, the cottage has a spacious living area and large screened porch. The cottage is nestled In the woods at the end of the road with its own small beach and pier on a very quiet lake. The cottage gets morning sun. Many trees shade the cottage in the afternoon. The owners provide a row boat to explore the crystal clear lake. Visitors share a small sandy beach with the owners who live in cottages on both sides of Rocky Hollow. A special treat is access to the Trestle Trail Greenway which is about one half mile from the cottage. The Trestle Trail connects to other Greenways and rural roads which are great for walking and biking. The owners are very helpful. The bathrooms are small and the water pressure for showers is adequate but not great. The kitchen is small but very well equipped. The cottage is clean. We loved our visit and will be returning."

The downstairs features a large open kitchen and Living room while the upstairs is spacious with three bedrooms and a view overlooking the large backyard with fire pit and screened in porch. Hardwood floors and tile throughout. This house was built in the early 1900s but has been recently renovated. Finished basement and close to 2500 sq feet of living space. Hi speed Internet and Central air included.

Guests have the space all to themselves! quiet and private for a good nights rest!

In Depth Description:

The living room features a modestly sized smart television with ample room for sitting as well as two dinner tables. Plenty of room for a large to medium sized party and a good place to relax. There is also a futon which folds out to provide additional bedding.

The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of coffee plus everything you need to feel comfortable and at home. Cookware as well as and plates and silverware are provided so that you may cook in if ordering out is not on the table. A gas range and large refrigerator as well as a dishwasher make meals easy and there is plenty of counter space as well as a large kitchen island that doubles as a dinner table with 4 additional seats.

The upstairs features a Private bathroom with a tub , shower and toiletries, towels and soap / shampoo are provided. On the second level you will find three bedrooms with a king, two queens and two twin beds respectively. Shades and curtains provide privacy or leave the windows open for a view of the large backyard and quiet neighborhood. Rooms are professionally cleaned after each guest. New mattresses and high quality bedding will insure you get a good nights sleep and there are Plenty of extra blankets for the cold New England nights. Night stands with alarm clocks / phone chargers, lamps and white noise machines are provided as well.

- "Very unhappy with our stay. The house was not cleaned upon arriving. It had dirt all over floors and furniture , the tub/shower was absolutely disgusting. We couldn’t give our 2 year old a bath as the tub was filled with dirt, hair and dust. Nothing was wiped down, the place hadn’t been swept or vacuumed in a really really long time. Not even any cleaning supplies to clean if I wanted to. The bedrooms were not all set up as pictured in the listing. Trash and shoes and hair clips were left on the floor along with piles of dirt and dog hair everywhere. The house smelled so badly that not even air fresheners helped. Upon arriving the pathway was not salted and was extremely icy. I am not sure of the regulations for the state but the stairs leading up to the rental entrance had no hand railings. I am pregnant and the stairs were icey and I almost fell. I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone especially if you have young children. It was honestly our worst vrbo experience we have ever stayed in. We couldn’t wait to leave."
