We used the bus daily to travel to and from Como, the bus stop was convenient, only 20 meters away. - "We had a lovely time watching the moon rise over the mountain each night from one of several balconies in the house. Our host was very responsive and helpful. When we arrived, we were presented the home in a friendly manner. A beautiful home to enjoy Lake Como. The villa is part of the museum, and it is an art-effect, so people are looking into your rented villa to see "What's inside". The Check-in process was very easy. Erbert guided us to a grocery store downtown, later we found a closer one a walking distance. The views from the villa are amazing. The washer machine was ok, no dryer. The Digital TV with internet was great for the kids, they could catch up on all their TV series. The kitchen was well equipped. The AC was very strong and it felt like home. The issue started when a thunderstorm hit Lake Como (very usual) and the alarm at the house start going on at midnight and throughout the night. I called the owner, the account manager every hour - no answer! The whole night the whole family was awake, the alarm was never shutdown, but only in the morning. The answer was: We cannot shut down the alarm because of valuables in the museums... Well - if I would have valuables and the alarm would go off, I would drive to see who is stealing my stuff... And turn off the alarm, no? From that moment I got no response from the owner or the account manager Erbert... Silence, we checked out with no one and heard back from no one. I will not come back"

The traffic goes all night and if you sleep in the 2nd bedroom you hear the noise of the cars all night. Furthermore the rental is so tired and dated. The furniture in the living is room is nice-ish. The bedrooms are truly horrible. The beds are really just cots with cheap mattresses, pillows and linens. The bedrooms and bathrooms are in dire need of an update in order to be appealing. Stale is how I would describe the property. THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING! I can’t imagine being here in late June-mid September. They do the best they can with fans but it still feels too hot here and it’s not refreshing after walking up the hill to get here and be greeted by a hot house. The kitchen is poorly equipped. There is no microwave, no regular coffee maker, no toaster and no ice (not even ice trays). We couldn’t make the oven work. Also there are no clothes washer and dryer. Finally, the value is out of whack. Let me put this into perspective. Here you pay EUR 700 for a poorly located outdated house. We arrived here from the Amalfi Coast where we stayed in a gorgeous freshly painted and furnished villa with two modern kitchens, two sets of new washers/dryers, every imaginable kitchen accessory, multiple tvs with international channels, Netflix, etc, stunning views of the Sea and an adorable neighborhood. We paid EUR 500 per night. For value comparison this place should go for EUR 50 per night."
