THE SPACE The villa consists of a main historic building (1920s, Liberty style) structured on three floors above ground, with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a kitchen with dining area, a living room combined with a dining room and an additional semi-floor - very bright basement with a laundry room, gym, internal and external artworks and a small tavern. In front of the main house there is a small garden on two levels, with vegetation typical of the lakes' micro-climate. On sunny days, you can dine on the outside table on the terrace or on the stone table in the garden. By the house you will also find a parking space that can be used for up to 3 cars, and a "service apartment" with two service people (and their little daughter), who will be there to make your stay even more comfortable (with 4 hours of daily service activities already included).

GUEST ACCESS The whole villa will be exclusively reserved for the guests. The service apartment is adjacent but detached from the main house and has its own entrance, reserved to the housekeeping. Guests' Car(s) can access the inside open air parking space through an electric gate.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE Some suggested activities: sigh-seeing lake villages by public or private boats (with or without licence small boats can be rented at the lake-side riviera in downtown cernobbio, right by the 'canottieri cernobbio'). The 'green way' (also found on google as 'green way del lago di Como') is an incredible must-do trial with breath-taking views all over the lake, easily accessible from nearby villages to Cernobbio.
Also, do not miss cultural visits to Como, Milan (Last Supper, Duomo, Sforza Castle, museums, shopping & fashion district, etc), jogging, hiking or mtb on the hills above the lake, swimming, Vips hunting on the amazing villas on the lake, relaxing, traditional restaurants or "crottos" dining, sailing (45 minutes drive), waterskiing, and why no, when around in winter: skiing (45' away), cross country skiing/nordic walking (1 hour away).

It is definitely worth hiring her to provide dinner one night as her food was really good. We were able to check in a little early and out a little late and they were attentive to our needs. Two things to be aware of, if you aren't used to driving/parking in the very narrow streets of Italy, it is quite difficult to pull in a car into the Villa drive from the alleyway, but with help from Manori's husband the first time, I was able the rest of the time. Also the dryer doesn't dry very well, but it gets you there enough so you can finish by hanging the clothes to dry using the facilities they have there. The weight room and everything else in the house is quite nice. We'd definitely stay again."

The villa is also located on the path that leads to Monte Bisbino, which can be reached on foot or by mountain bike. It is advisable to arrive at the structure by car as there is availability of parking spaces right under the house, so that you can move freely. Alternatively, Rovenna is well connected by public transport in Cernobbio.

- "We stayed here 4 days in May. The views are as advertised- as spectacular as any you can find around Lake Como. The house is solid, tucked into the hillside. There is a spacious balcony to relax on, have a meal and enjoy the views. The bed was firm but comfortable. The shower worked well. There is a large TV for Italian shows. There is a downstairs terrace with lots of seating and a good view. We didn't spend much time there but a larger group would have enjoyed that spot too. The yard is vertical and spacious, with terraces and seating at multiple levels. The plants and flowers are various and attractive. There is great security with an imposing fence and electronic gate. You can't see any neighbors from the balcony. You can watch bikers and walkers challenging the hills. There is an occasional loud motorbike. We're in our 60's, so the slopes and steps were a bit of a challenge with our bags. Someone younger would likely have no issues. If you want spectacular views and a quiet, relaxing haven, this is perfect. We mentioned to each other a few times that we couldn't believe how beautiful it was. Just be aware that it takes 25 minutes to get to town and it was sometimes a challenge getting taxis. We contracted the private car service recommended by our host and after that life was good- although pricey. This was a once in a lifetime trip for us and our stay at this villa in Cernobbio was a highlight."

There is also a second access in the back of the house, which is shared with the other two units. All the rooms on the main floor of the house, the living room and the two bedrooms, have direct access to the comfortable patio. On the left side of the house there is the lavish 80 sqm living room with dining area featuring a wooden floor with underfloor heating, Venetian stucco walls, elegant sofas and armchairs, large flat screen TV with satellite channels for both Sky USA and Russian TV and Bose surround sound system. The living room is elegant and full of light and benefits from the spectacular view of the lake and surrounding mountains. Next to the living room, the fully equipped kitchen, with all modern appliances including granite work surfaces, double oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. From the living room, a corridor leads to the two bedrooms.

One bedroom has two twin beds and flat TV with Sky programs. The two twin beds can be also joined together. This bedroom is not air conditioned, but has access to the patio. Guests can use the full-sized bathrooms with a Teuco power shower located just in front of the room. The second bedroom, the master bedroom suite, has a double bed, silk tapestries, hand-painted ceilings and windows providing views out over the lake. Ensuite full–sized bathroom with Teuco ultrasonic Jacuzzi tub 44.

Downstairs, the garden level unit can be accessed directly from the garden or from the hallway through a marble staircase. This independent unit with double access is also air conditioned. Although comfortable, cozy and very private, it is not as luxurious as the main one. It features a fitness room, a plasma TV, a laundry room (washing machine and dryer, ironing board with iron), a bathroom with shower, a twin bedroom with beds that cannot be joined together.

The property has air conditioning in all the bedrooms except in the second bedroom on the main floor which is equipped with a last generation cooling unit (fan).

Please note there is another apartment on the second floor and another on the third floor. The parking area of the property is shared but you will have your private entrance and the private use of the small garden in front as well as the use of the jacuzzi.

Around the property there are plenty of valuable personal belongings, not limited to Art work, books collections, instruments and many other objects, please leave them as they are and if you like to read a books just put it back where it was after you are done with it. If you wish to play pool, please do not use the frame of the board or board to keep glass of any kind, ashtray or food.

Smoking in the bedrooms and wellness area is strictly forbidden, although you can smoke cigarettes in the large living room and in the garden, make sure you use the proper ashtray during and after your moment. Cigars & Pipes are forbidden inside property beside garden. (You will be responsible for any damaged caused from leftovers cigarettes, burns and marks around property)

Use of the fire place is to take very seriously, use the safety metal net protection as some woods will kick some hot ash pieces and this may go on the carpet. It is strictly forbidden to leave the fire unattended or without any of your group members supervising it. Also its very important to not hang or leave clothing of any kind, shoes or any object nearby the fire.

According to the nights of your reservation We provide enough wood for the living room fire places to work in a standard way. In case you like to use Pizza Owen you might need to request extra wood as to reach designated temperature it’s important to have it running several hours.

There are 3 goats and a group of funny chickens living in property, please do not bother them; you can certainly feed them with some veggies or fruits in case you wish, make sure to remove any sort of packaging first. Sometimes we’ll pass across property to feed animals, harvest from tree’s or veggies areas or simply to do some maintenance to backyard; we won’t be bothering you but in case you have some question or like to join in some activities, please feel free to ask. Do not chop, damage or modify plants of any kind inside property, in case you have a question or request; let us know first.

Ca' Bossi is a country side property, rarely you might see/hear dormouse or eventually find some natural dust in some corner of the house, this is normal as property is above 700 sqm space with very high ceiling.

Ca Bossi is rented for group of maximum 12 people. Events, dinners, ceremonies, video/photo shooting, and other initiatives are subject to other pricing and different property policies. In case you wish to organize other initiatives please make sure to highlight them and request approval with specifications before booking.

RENTAL NOTES
Rental includes a welcome dinner on arrival (excludes wine and liquor). Heat, gas, electricity and air-conditioning included. The pool is heated in July and August only on request to a maximum temperature of 26 degrees C. Given the size of the pool, this can take several days. Complimentary WiFi provided, although there is not consistent coverage throughout the property. There are some hazards on the grounds (open lakeside, steep garden paths and stairs, etc.). The pool is deep with no shallow end. Children under eight must be accompanied by nanny. Older children are welcome with the understanding they are well-behaved and well-looked after by guests or guest staff. Owners' staff is not available for child-care services. Private car, boat and seaplane services can be arranged on request. Use of a 'self-drive' Lucia is included with the rental of the villa.
