We loved the small wine shop La Bottega De Vino and the owner’s advice/knowledge. The cafe’s on the square are great for breakfast or afternoon cocktails and great views. And Il Pazzo (traditional italian) and Braceria Diverso (higher end steakhouse with a tasting menu option and great wines) were great restaurants."

- "This is a lovely house right on the water, with a little public beach and dock. The house is huge, but reasonable priced. Lots of room for our family of 7 to move around. It was a bit hot (in June) but there are fans in all the bedrooms and being right on the lake, plenty of breezes for the many, many windows and doors that can be opened wide. Luca, our host, was a little bit hard to get a hold of the month before our visit, but the week before and during our stay, he was very quick to respond. It's an older house with quirks and the yard needed a little TLC, otherwise a wonderful place. It's close to town and the docks; we took a boat ride, ate at a couple of the restaurants, and had gelato one afternoon. We had plans to go back into Switzerland or we would have tried to stay the whole week! So great!"

The 3-storey villa is situated along ‘Via Poletti’, placing guests 11-17 minutes’ walk from the resort amenities and car-passenger ferry links of central Menaggio (with its frequent service to Cadenabbia, Bellagio, Varenna and a fast passenger-only service to Como). The popular family-friendly Lido di Menaggio, resort amenities, shops, charming cafés and authentic restaurants provide a picturesque holiday base for sightseeing trips on the Central lake.

Golfing fans will appreciate the proximity to the prestigious Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf club (7 minutes’ drive away), whilst those in search of sightseeing opportunities have the world-class villas just a short drive away, along the Tremezzina shore.

Unfortunately the repair person never showed up to fix it. These issues were minor as we still enjoyed our time in Menaggio."
