We loved the small wine shop La Bottega De Vino and the owner’s advice/knowledge. The cafe’s on the square are great for breakfast or afternoon cocktails and great views. And Il Pazzo (traditional italian) and Braceria Diverso (higher end steakhouse with a tasting menu option and great wines) were great restaurants."

Recently renovated with incredible taste and preserving the Owner antiques, the property of the Diver is on three floors of incredible charm. The first dominates the stately living room with modern kitchen adequately separate, complete with everything, and balcony overlooking Via Caronti.

Stroll through the quaint Croce neighborhood then follow the yellow arrows onto the cycling paths, and eventually the cobblestone lanes into Menaggio. We loved the quaint old-time farm just outside our windows across the street with sheep, more goats, and chickens. We ate at La Baita and La Barcarole. Two local restaurants near the house with authentic local food and excellent prices. - "This is a lovely house right on the water, with a little public beach and dock. The house is huge, but reasonable priced. Lots of room for our family of 7 to move around. It was a bit hot (in June) but there are fans in all the bedrooms and being right on the lake, plenty of breezes for the many, many windows and doors that can be opened wide. Luca, our host, was a little bit hard to get a hold of the month before our visit, but the week before and during our stay, he was very quick to respond. It's an older house with quirks and the yard needed a little TLC, otherwise a wonderful place. It's close to town and the docks; we took a boat ride, ate at a couple of the restaurants, and had gelato one afternoon. We had plans to go back into Switzerland or we would have tried to stay the whole week! So great!"

- "Great stay at Villa La Rondine. Had multiple groups come through to visit us there. Beautiful view of Lake Como - can see Varenna, Bellagio, and Menaggio. Main house had cool modern finishes and artwork. Amazing kitchen. Caretaker Vanna was always accessible and made sure our stay went well - she was great! The only minus is the approximately 1 mile walk to Menaggio. Going TO town is not too bad, but going back up can be grueling if you are not in shape. But that is why the view is so beautiful - the villa is higher up above Menaggio."

Underneath the villa is a large marina where sailboats and speedboats are moored. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat or rent a boat from the villa.
