- "This 4 night break was to celebrate ( belatedly ) my 75th birthday. All my family including children, grandchildren, one great grandchild and husbands and wives, 20 in all, were able to join my wife and me at this wonderful property. All families had their own bedroom with en suite shower and toilet facilities. All rooms had air conditioning and were incredibly clean and well looked after. There are nine really good sized rooms and our family configuration meant that we only used 8 of them. There is a good sized kitchen with everything you could ask for including two large fridge freezers and another in the games room that has a pool table and exercise machine. There are several large eating areas with more than ample seating and large tables. The pool is of a good sized and was also cleaned on one of the days we were there. I could go on but it would just be repeating how wonderful my family found this property. Last but by know means last was our wonderful host Sergio. He will go out of his way to help you in any way possible and arranged for massages on site that were so good we asked her back on another day to complete another 3. Sergio also arranged for us to visit two restaurants within walking distance, and both were great and considering the short notice and size of the party too. Sergio also arranged all our transport needs, which were many. I can't recommend Sergio and his property highly enough. Thank you again Sergio."

Sitting at the top of a small hill the house has amazing views stretching to the hills and the sea. A view which is equally impressive at night with all the town lights and stars above across into the sea. The house is located no more that 15 minutes by car of some of the best beaches, golf courses, local markets and shopping centers and the old main town of Loule. The main road N125 and A22 motorway stretching the whole of the Algarve are also both within 10 minutes’ drive of the villa.
The heated/cooled pool makes any time a good time for a dip. Outdoor Table Football and Ping Pong Table provide hours of fun. The back gardens of the property are maintained throughout the year with tropical plants and flowers, mature canopy trees allowing for shady areas during the midday sun, a perfect place to relax in one of the hammocks.

The upstairs balcony was one of my favorite spots. Extremely comfortable, modern, south facing villa with lovely views towards the sea. Private, but not isolated location. Private, heated swimming pool with terrace and barbeque area in large garden. Private setting. Air conditioning/heating in all bedrooms. Free wi-fi available. Easy access to some wonderful restaurants and cafes in nearby Santa Barbara de Nexe, Sao Bras de Alportel and in Estoi. Comfortably furnished and well equipped, an ideal base for a family holiday, for golfing getaways and for exploring the region.

- "The villa, gardens and pool are beautifully kept and as described . The owners have added lots of thoughtful touches such as a supply of inflatable pool toys, separate ( good quality ) pool towels and bath towels and additional portable air con/ heating units. There are plenty of options for shade and eating and the outside space is immaculate. The gardeners, pool cleaner and weekly maid all provided a thorough service, which was much appreciated. The weather was exceptionally hot while we were there, so we spent much of our time around the villa as it was just too hot to go far - the aircon was a necessity and much appreciated . The only downside was that we were plagued by mozzies in the evening and July is wasp season - they also plagued our meal times. Citronella candles and plug ins were provided but I’d recommend other guests use a strong repellent and extra plug ins - this is a rural area so it’s unavoidable. There are also fly screens on all the windows and doors but we were still bitten ( not stung). A nice beach within 20 minutes drive is Fuseta - very few British tourists, mostly Portuguese and French . The beach is a blue flag and patrolled - we went early morning to try to beat the heat. We had a wonderful holiday, it was the perfect villa to bring our two year old on her first trip abroad , the pool is very child friendly but also big enough to have a proper swim for the adults. This is definitely the best villa we have ever stayed in. Thank you Graham and Pat!"

This country house has recently been completely renovated. This enhancement was done with respect for the authenticity of the building and the region, but with the luxury and comfort of today.

All the rooms of the house are on the ground floor. Direct daylight enters all areas and practically every room has access to a terrace. There are several large terraces, both north and south oriented.

Kitchen: Completely renovated: equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave (combi oven), American fridge, stove with oven, all kinds of small electrical appliances. - "If you want to get away from it all. This is the villa for you. Situated on the outside of the village. A short walk to a supermarket, village shop, an Italian , fish restaurant, Portuguese bar and traditional food, a church. All perfect if you want to stay in a village . The villa was of a high standard , a kitchen that had everything you needed to cook a fabulous meal. The pool and poolside furniture tasteful . You will be very comfortable here. We never used the barbecue in the back of the property as the weather was too hot. We tended to eat inside with air conditioning. A great view, a green garden, a heated swimming pool and a great base to discover the Algarve. A wonderful place to read a book in the shade and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The holiday villa is secluded and offers breathtaking views of the rolling hills of the Algarve with the sea in the distance. Beautiful sunrises turn the sky red and in the evening you can see the coast and the lights of Faro. From the terrace you have a view of the orchards with oranges and olives. The beautifully landscaped garden is a delight for plant lovers. In addition to tropical palm trees, bouganvillea, many colorful flowers and various terraces, agapanthus is also often found. A heated swimming pool with an outdoor shower ensures that you can take a refreshing swim even in spring and autumn. For sun worshipers there are sun loungers by the pool.
In addition to the covered terrace, the garden also has several shady areas. An outdoor charcoal grill and various fresh herbs are available for use.
Shops and restaurants can be found just 3 km away in picturesque Estoi. In the fishing village of Olhao there is a daily market for fresh fish and vegetables. The most beautiful shells and the largest seahorse colony are in the Ria Formosa National Park, a 15-minute drive away.
Due to its central location in the Algarve, most attractions can be reached within an hour's drive. A car is recommended. These can be rented from various companies at Faro Airport.
A perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature, but also a great base to discover the beauty and all the sights of the Algarve in Portugal.

Guest access
Most of the villa and the garden are available to guests, only some cupboards are locked and the wooden annex is closed. It will not be occupied during your stay. 2/3 of the freezer is available to you. The private area attached to the villa is not occupied during your presence.

Other things to pay attention to
The garden and swimming pool are cleaned and maintained. If any problems occur, please report this to the help desk as soon as possible. As everywhere in Portugal, dogs can bark.

- "Very good" - "We visited Villa Violetta for a couple of weeks of sunshine at the beginning of July, and had a wonderful, relaxing time. We found it easily, even in the dark thanks to the detailed directions, and were very surprised to be warmly greeted Andy and Dawn when we arrived, even although it was nearly midnight. They embody the word ‘care-taker’ because that’s exactly what they do- they take care of you and the villa for the duration of your stay. They showed us around the villa, which is well equipped with everything you might wish for while you are there. They also left us a very generous ‘welcome pack’- not the standard bread and milk, but wine, beer, soft drinks, fruit, bread and cheese, crisps and crackers, which was really incredibly thoughtful (and generous!) of them. I cannot commend Andy and Dawn highly enough for taking such good care of us- nothing was too much trouble for them. The villa was lovely, with comfortable beds. The air con in the bedrooms was very welcome, as it was about 38 degrees when we were there! The pool was lovely and roomy for the boys to play on inflatables, and also a nice size if you actually like to swim. I especially loved the garden, which has been very carefully tended, and is a beautiful place to meditate (if that’s your thing 😊. ) There's also a lovely pergola under which you can eat outdoors, and a barbecue by the pool. (I think theses were built after the photos were taken.) There is no ‘maid service’ during your stay (although Andy and Dawn regularly replace sheets and towels), and we really liked it that way. We had stayed in villas previously where daily maid service was included, and we found it quite invasive when we were used to peace-and-quiet and our own space. The cleaner would tend to drive us out of the house, which defeated the purpose of a lovely villa! Not so here- it’s all yours for the duration of your stay. It’s the perfect location if you like peace and quiet, but want to be able to access the beautiful beaches nearby- Faro, Barril, and Tavira are all within 20-30 mins drive, and you’re only 15 minutes from Sao Bras, where there are a number of good-sized supermarkets, including a Lidl. We barbecued at night, or tended to eat-out at the beach so I can’t comment on any of the restaurants nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and will definitely be back! The villa is divided into three separate areas, each with its own bedroom and bathroom. One of these areas even offers two bedrooms, making the villa ideal for families or larger groups.

The master bedroom is located on the second floor and the bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The second area is separated from the rest of the house by a door. This provides an ideal retreat for those moments when you are looking for peace and privacy. It includes a bedroom with a double bed (180x200) and a small crib, a bathroom with a shower tray and another bedroom (ideal as a children's room) with two single beds (90x200). From there, there is access to the rear outdoor terrace.

The spacious living room is located in the center of the villa and offers a meeting point for evenings together by the fireplace. There is also a TV with Astra reception (German channels, but also various English and French-speaking TV channels).
