We loved walking down to the market in the morning to get fresh breakfast food. The beaches nearby are great. We would rent beach chairs and umbrellas at the beachfront restaurants each day. We cooked and grilled several meals there which allowed us to save money, eat healthier and experience the local cuisine better. The balconies overlook the water and mountains and you have a view from every room - much better than the pictures show. The outdoor grill was great. Airconditioning was wonderful. We have had extensive visits in 10 countries, and this was by far our favorite home and location. The house was so clean you could practically eat off of the floors. It is a short walk to the beach and shopping/dining areas. It is super quiet and it feels like you are experiencing real French life. The train station is close so if you don't want to drive into other towns along the coast you can take a train and not have to deal with parking in those other towns (for example Monaco) Menton was our favorite town on the French Riviera. We thought we would use it as a base to see other places (which it is great for), but surprisingly we favored Menton and preferred to spend more time there. There is a close grocery store and the owners are very nice go out of their way to meet off the main highway and lead you to the home. It was truly an amazing experience, and we were so happy we picked the home."

Paraisette is a recently built villa in traditional Provence style situated on the hills facing Menton. Most uniquely, each room of the villa offers a spectacular view of the "vieille ville" (old city) of Menton, of the coast and the Mediterranean. It has been built to provide comfort and relaxation, while retaining some features of the typical "cabanon" (traditional country house) it once was. There is a full modern kitchen. Two master suites have their own bathroom and large private terraces, a third one also has its own bathroom and opens on a partially planted garden. The garden includes semitropical plants and trees (mimosas, orange and palm trees, olive trees, hibiscus, etc.) which could not survive without the wonderful climate of Menton.

The tenant is held responsible for the actions of all the occupants of the house for the duration of the stay. - "We loved the space, the pool and fantastic views. House is in a quiet location and the opposite end of the town where the charming old part of the city is, night life and big beach. We walk there in the day and drove in the evenings. The small beaches just as you walked down were lovely and more quiet. Louis was the perfect host and easy to communicate with. It takes 10 min to walk down to Menton. Good exercise to walk up again. Air conditioning is quieter and works better on the ground and first floor. We all fell in love with Menton and would love to come back and stay there again."

- "Wonderful stay in Menton! The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay in the house." - "Villa Mimosa is a large and charming house just to the west of the old town in Menton. It is ideal to share for two families! There are 3 floors, on the bottom floor there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a well equipped kitchen. On the second floor there is one bedroom, a bathroom, a smaller kitchen, a dining room and a TV room. On the third floor there are three bedrooms (2 with single beds), one of these can also be used as a living room. The kitchens and bathrooms were all well functioning and of good standard (with some older details to add charm). There is also a washing machine and some beach toys, 2 kick bikes and a stroller. We were recommended to bring bed linen from home, do check size of duvets! The house has a large and green garden with fruit trees and flowers. The garden is quite steep with small paths, so it is more of an exciting maze for children than a park (but very beautiful indeed!). You can see the sea and the mountains from the house, but there is no panorama view. There is no direct evening sun. There is a large terrace with lots of space to socialize. The dinner table is set under a large avocado tree that gives shade. The BBQ (gas) is very large and excellent to cook on! The Jacuzzi was not in use when we were there. We spent one week in the house in the end of April. The house does get a little chilly on cold days (as large stone houses tend to) but there are radiators. The access to the house is down quite a number of steep steps, this is a bit of a hassle when you arrive with suitcases and when you get back with groceries, but on the other hand it makes the house very private and secluded (in a good way!). The house is only a few minutes walk to both the beach (Plage des Sablettes) and to town. It is also easy to reach trekking paths such as the GR52. We had no problems finding parking along Boulevard de Garavan, but I guess this may be more difficult during peak tourist times. The house is not very well suited for very young children (1-2 years of age approx) because of all stairs and the steep garden. For older children it is great! The owner Han was very helpful and generous and always responded quickly. There was also a nice welcome package with some cookies and Limoncello! In conclusion we would very much recommend Villa Mimosa to anyone who wishes a nice vacation in Menton and do not mind steep stairs but who values a garden, walking distance to the beach and town and a charming old stone house!"

The villa is a beautiful, well-equipped home, with an absolutely stunning view of Menton and the bay, and the town and beach a 15-20 minute walk down the hill. The main shopping street and old town are just a little further. We managed without a car: there are 6 buses a day in each direction, and an Uber if you need it (costs about 12 Euros from the station). In the 32 - 36 degree heat, the walk up the hill was taxing sometimes, so we really loved having the gorgeous pool (long enough to actually swim - about 8 - 9 metres), and the air con, which was a must. There were also two nice spots to eat outdoors - by the pool until midday, and on the fabulous balcony by night. Michele and Jean-Pierre were charming hosts, who made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We had a wonderful holiday in Menton, and would thoroughly recommend this lovely accommodation. "
