The Ugly Bunny Guest House is a one bedroom fully contained suite located on the lower level of our mountain home. There is a separate bedroom with a king sized bed, the living room has a queen sized pull out and there is also a washer/dryer in the unit. - "Location is perfect. Condo is updated. Staff pleasant and helpful. Negatives are the bedrooms are very small with no closet or dresser. Also, the delivery trucks for the grocery are right below the rooms and the trash / recycle truck comes nearly every morning by 8 for multiple loads. The hot tubs were broken the entire time we were there, so that was disappointing. The closest free parking is about a 7 minute walk."

Activities: Sulphur Mountain Gondola, Lake Minnewanka Boat trip or hike, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Banff Hot Springs, Canoeing at Lake Lousie, Moraine Lake & Emerald Lake. Mountain Biking: Goat Creek & Bow Falls & Hoodoos trail. Via Ferrata climbing experiences at Mt Norquay.

Hikes: A great local Banff family hike is Tunnel Mountain. Lake Louise: Plain of Six Glaciers Teahouse (full day) or Lake Agnes Tea House (1/2 day). Johnston Canyon also with frozen waterfalls in the winter, Moraine Lake: Larch Valley & Sentinel Pass, Takakkaw Falls and the Iceline trail.

Skiing & Winter fun! Downhill skiing: Mt Norquay (15 mins), Sunshine (20 mins) and Lake Louise (40 mins), these are all amazing ski hills, Mt Norquay is more local so ideal if you want a half day. For Cross Country Skiing check out the Canmore Nordic Centre. Tubing is amazing fun and available at both Lake Louise and Mt Norquay. Ice skating at Lake Louise is also a must do and makes the perfect photo opportunity!

Gopher Basement Suite is one of seven units on our property known as Banff Beaver Cabins, a “Class B Alberta Heritage Site” and one of the earlier set of tourist cabins built in Banff. Situated in downtown Banff, one block away from Banff’s main street.

The space
Cozy basement bachelor suite with a double and single bed in the same bedroom, microwave kitchenette with hotplate.
The bathroom is very small with a shower with shower head at 5′ 11” and ceiling 6′ 4” and a toilet. The sink is in the room right in front of the bathroom.

Guest access
We invite all our guests to enjoy the BBQ area as well as the backyard including a gazebo and picnic table

Other things to note
Please note that the temperature control for the basement suite is located in the upper cabin and can't be adjusted. We ask all our guests in the upstairs cabin to keep the thermostat at 21 degrees Celsius. If this is too cold for you, we keep a space heater in the suite as well as extra blankets. If it's too hot, please open the windows.

The stairs to the Gopher Basement Suite are tight and fairly steep.

Parking is carefully laid out. Please pay very close attention to parking instructions provided in the cabin. If vehicles are not properly aligned the parking lot will not function.
