The apartment is situated close to nature. A very long beach is just a few minutes (500m) away, as is the train-stop which allows you to do pleasant day trips to Hanko and Tammisaari. Lappohja is located in the middle of Tammisaari and Hanko, and the train connection is accessible to Helsinki in 1.5 hours. In the village of Lappohja, you'll find great outdoor terrain, a beach, a small village shop, a disc golf course, a frontman museum. Not to forget the numerous beautiful places nearby.

Villa Jääskelä Hanko is a peculiar, recently renovated house from 19th century. It is owned and run by three Jääskelä siblings. As our premises for taking care of the linen are very limited, we are not able to offer bedsheets and bath towels included in the price. However, the linen is available for rent with extra cost of 20,00 €/person

Guest access
Paavo is located upstairs, where we have other guest rooms as well. In addition to your own room, shared common space facilities in upstairs' bathroom and hall are at your disposal.

The bathroom has a toilet, a wash-basin and a shower.

There is no actual kitchen upstairs (no stove nor oven), but you are welcome to bring your own food and prepare it in the hall. The hall is equipped with basic kitchenware together with a fridge, a microwave, a toaster, an electric kettle and a coffee maker. Coffee and tea are complementary on the house.

You are also welcome to spend time on the large and sunny yard that surrounds the Villa.

During your stay
I will welcome you as our guest, take you to your room and show you the facilities. I'm happy to tell you about the surroundings of the Villa and about Hanko in general.

There are also Hanko travel guide booklets and maps available at the house. In case you have any questions or problems during your stay, you are always welcome to ask for an advice.

In general, I respect our guests' need for peace during their holiday. Just like I value some privacy in my own life.

The Villa is family owned with my sister and brother, so with some good luck you might meet some of my family and friends during your visit.

Studio apartment Pirtti will be fully at your private disposal. You'll have your own kitchen, shower, toilet and veranda. There is room for up to five guests - four beds and one spare bed.

In the small kitchen you will have basic equipment for preparing your own meals. It has a stove, an oven, a microwave and a coffee maker together with basic kitchenware. There's also a large fridge-freezer combination, your hosts are using some space of the freezer.

The bathroom has a shower enclosure, a toilet and a washing basin. If you have a need for textile care, you are welcome to use Villa's shared washing machine. Please ask your host if you wish to do laundry.

You are also welcome to spend time on the large and sunny yard that surrounds the Villa. The yard has an outdoors fireplace, which you may use for preparing barbecue meals.

In the bedroom, a 160cm wide Yankee bed and an unfoldable couch. The apartment stays pretty cool even in the summer, as the big trees in the yard protect the sun.

Guests bring their own sheets and towels, and do the final cleaning.

I can make the apartment available to guests before 4pm if the cleanliness of the apartment has been checked.

The space
The bathroom has underfloor heating, a washer dryer, a dryer, a dryer, and a hair dryer.

The kitchen has a pini fridge (no freezer), toaster, coffee maker, microwave, kettle and plenty of dishes.

About 5 minutes walk to the casino beach through the yard and underpass tunnel.

The bike storage has two wheels (24-speed Insera and a small red Kuwahara). They may be borrowed if they are in order. The keys to the bikes in the hallway drawer and the big pump in the corner of the hallway.

There are also two jugs (green and blue) in the bike storage that I rent for 10€/day (mobile pay).

You can find your way to the apartment either by driving along Esplanade and turning left at the intersection immediately after K-Market to Raatimiehenkatu and then left again at the next intersection to Pitkäkatu. Another option is to arrive at Esplanade and turn to Palokunnankatu and drive past the train station and the market under the bridge to Pitkäkatu. Due to new traffic arrangements, the navigator does not always give correct instructions.

Other things to note
Nearby, there is a bridge over which you can easily and quickly get to the city center and east harbor area ( walking also pay attention to the steps to the bridge by the s-market). If you're walking or riding a bike, there's an alternative route to the city center through the underpass. The light rail tunnel is located immediately after the train station.

NOTE! For each guest, 1 bath towel and 1 face towel are reserved for the duration of the stay, and 1 hand towel is shared in the bathroom. I charge 10 euros per towel/sheet set for the use of extra towels and sheets that are used without permission. If it turns out that more than the number of pets stated in the reservation or brought to the apartment, in violation of the rules, a charge of 100/day will be applied.

Our apartment does not yet have its own parking space, but there are available spaces in the yard. Electricity spots are reserved, but you can park without electricity, for example, there are free spaces next to the garbage canopy.

The apartment is located on the third floor, there is no elevator in the house.

NOTE! In the summer of 2025, the house has undergone facade renovation and other renovations that are almost complete. Renovation no longer interferes with living. In August, the apartment locks will be changed and the balcony windows will be installed in September, a more detailed day is not yet known. Villa Jääskelä Hanko is a recently renovated, 19th century log house. There are three apartments on the ground floor of a special, large house. There are several rooms and shared common areas on the top floor of the villa. At this time, we can accommodate a total of 15 guests at a time.

The villa includes a large yard, and according to the house's manners, morning coffee is drunk in the yard with blackbird accompaniment. As summer evenings dim, background music changes to cascade chirping.

We offer basic housing needs on behalf of the house, such as toilet paper, hand and shower soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Beds have blankets and pillows, hand towels in bathrooms, and laundry facilities include laundry detergent. Coffee and tea are available in the kitchen areas for our guests.

Our villa has limited access to linen service and storage, which is why we have decided to provide sheets and bath towels for an additional cost of €20.00 per night only. This is taken into account in the prices of our rooms. So you can bring your own linens or rent them on the spot.

If the people in the house are present, they will use the bathroom and sauna to bathe in the Fireplace Room.

You'll also have access to the sunny yard of the house. Weather permitting, you can cook food outdoors on the grill.

The studio 11 is a compact apartment with quality materials and furnishings, which has everything you need for a gorgeous little getaway. The window has a beautiful view of the station park, and Hanko's beaches are just a short walk away.
