Spacious two bedroom space located in the heart of Winchester. It’s within walking distance to the movie theater, library, shopping and a variety of local restaurants. If you are a race fan, the World’s Fastest Half Mile, the Winchester Speedway, is just outside of town. This is a great place to enjoy a quiet small town, but has an easy drive to nearby cities. The space is part of a beautiful, old church that has been renovated. Features include free parking, WIFI, separate shower/bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room.

The house is beautiful and was nicely renovated to include 2 onsite apartments on either side of the vrbo site. We very much enjoyed the stay for the most part, with just a few exceptions. First, and most importantly, the mattress is awful. The listing stated "luxury bedding" so that was misleading. The bed seemed to be a basic cheap spring mattress, no frills. Second, you can not turn the bathroom faucet on. It will literally turn on, but the moment you do water comes out at such high pressure from only one hole in the faucet head. I assume the rest of the holes are clogged with calcium or something. We had to wash our hands, face, and brush our teeth in the kitchen. Third, the door to the basement is in the bedroom.. which isn't terrible except the basement light remained on the entire time we were there so the light shined from around the door. We would have just turned it off, but with the sign on the door that said not to enter coupled with all of the cameras this property had, we didn't want to get into trouble. All in all the stay was pleasant and quite, which we appreciate. We will certainly stay again, as long as that mattress gets more comfortable.. lol"

- "Overall a good experience. Bed was slightly over firm it acceptable. Lost power at 4am and the breaker box was nott accessible." - "The property was not in a nice area. There were cockroaches at the property, it was not very clean. The towels, linens and kitchen towels were all dirty as was the coffee pot. It was extremely small, especially the bathroom. The door code stopped working which meant that we were locked out of the property for quite a while. Neither the AC nor the toilet worked well, the blinds would not close all the way so people could see straight in to the unit. The only reason we finished our stay was because there were no other accommodation available in this small town."

This lovely little retreat will not disappoint. I think you will find it to be a relaxing and comfortable place to spend your time in Muncie. We've provided the basics so that it can be your home away from home: fully functioning kitchen, coffee options, hi speed internet, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, bedding, xfinity flex with tv, and board games. 1/2 mile to shops & dining or a walk along the river, 1 mile to BSU. Close the day grilling out while you watch the gorgeous sunset.

The space
This is an upstairs apt. with 24 steps to climb. Once you have ascended you will be greeted with a beautiful, open view of the sky that you can enjoy from your porch, one of my favorite features of the apt. space. A natural gas grill is furnished as well as outdoor seating that could add the right atmosphere for some good hang-out time or just a little bit of peace and quiet.
There is a key-less entry with a code so you can let yourself in quickly when you arrive.
The eat-in kitchen seats 4 and has a full size stove top, oven & refrigerator. It's also supplied with a microwave, toaster oven, regular and Kuerig coffee makers plus coffee, olive oil, salt, pepper & garlic powder to make cooking easier for travelers. Dinnerware provided.
Living Room comfortably seats 5 and you could easily bring in a kitchen chair or 2 for your dinner guests. It has a moderate size flat screen tv with Xfinity flex. The couch folds out to a full size bed with a new mattress. We have a pack n' play available for little kiddos as well. Plenty of closet space to hang your clothes in.
Bathroom has a tub and shower, comfy towels, shamp/cond, body wash, good lighting and mirrors.
There is complementary washer, dryer and detergent in your apt. available for your vacationing needs.
We do not have actual parking spaces on our property but there is free street parking at all times . You may pull up to unload before you park.
The apt. is in a 4-plex unit house and there are other friendly tenants living below and beside you. This apartment floor-plan mirrors our other Airbnb right next door and shares the back porch with it.

This is a nice, well maintained home that is a tri-plex. Perfect for business trips and month to month stays. The bedroom area is separated from the living room with a hallway, but no bedroom door, so it is more like a studio apartment than a true 1 bedroom. This space will be most comfortable for a couple, or friends who know each other well, as you must walk through the bedroom space to access the bathroom and kitchen areas.

Parking is free on the streets around the property - no off-street parking.

The bedroom has a queen bed with memory foam mattress.

The sofa folds into a futon bed suitable for one extra person, with bedding provided.

The space
Please note this is an UPSTAIRS apartment in a historic home and is not accessible for those who cannot climb one flight of stairs. Also, this is not ideal for small children, as it hasn’t been childproofed and there is a staircase with no door to block it. Parking is free on the streets around the home.

Muncie is infamous for having a lot of train tracks, and there's nothing we can do about the intervals of noisy trains passing through town. If you're sensitive to noise, please bring earplugs and consider using a white noise app on your phone for sleeping.

There are two bedrooms - the main bedroom is spacious and has a king-size bed, sitting area, and workspace with desk and lamp.

The second bedroom is quite small and has a full-size bed. Two people can sleep there but it is snug.

Both beds are memory foam. No linens are provided for the couch as it is not considered a sleeping area for this unit.

There is one bathroom with a tub and shower.

There is NO laundry in this apartment.

The kitchen is well-equipped; we provide a coffee-maker and ground coffee, sugar, powdered creamer, and tea for your stay, as well as other basics like oil, salt, and pepper.

The 55-inch Smart TV in the living room is logged in to Prime Video with HBO Max access. You can log into your favorite apps on the TV as well with your own account (Netflix, Hulu, Disney, etc.).

Heat & AC: The house has central air; however, since it is a historic home the temperature can be tricky to regulate fully. We include window air conditioning units in warm months, and space heaters in cold months so that you can fully customize your temperature.

We have lived in this neighborhood (Old West End in Muncie) for 20 years. We love living here - but please be aware - it's not suburb-style living. The neighborhood is diverse and being revitalized with many previously-abandoned houses in the process of rehabilitation. It is a safe neighborhood and we have never had any issues living here, and we enjoy the diversity of the people who live here.

Welcome to The Cunningham! Once the neighborhood corner store, this property has gone through an entire renovation in 2024-2025! There are 2 units on the second floor and the first floor is soon to be occupied by a bakery/ pizza restaurant. Located in Muncie's Old West End, this urban neighborhood is wonderfully eclectic with a mix of owner occupant homes and rentals. The neighborhood is undergoing a revitalization and we are happy to be a part of that with the renovation of The Cunningham!

The space
You have the entire unit to yourself and this includes a living room with kitchenette, bedroom, and large bathroom with laundry. This space has recently been remodeled from top to bottom. The original plank floors have been painted a dark blue, new drywall has been installed with fresh paint, the kitchen and bathroom are brand new, and we have furnished the space with a mixture of new furniture and refurbished vintage pieces.

During the renovation we discovered the location of an original fireplace and have installed a period mantle with electric fireplace in the original location.

We exposed some original wallpaper and have framed that to give you a glimpse into the past of this beautiful building.

We've tried to think of everything you may need to have a comfortable stay. The kitchenette has a toaster oven, microwave, hot plate, Keurig, refrigerator with freezer, a skillet, a small pot, basic spices, and basic cooking utensils. The bathroom is stocked with fresh white towels, hair dryer, shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash. The space is accessed via a common hallway and is secured with an electronic keypad deadbolt.

Cleanliness is our top priority and all mattresses/ pillows are sealed in hypoallergenic covers. All linens (throws, blankets, comforters, sheets, towels) are laundered after every stay. We also provide a white noise machine and box fan for any light sleepers that may need to block out the potential street noise.

Outside, future plans will include a dog park, but right now there is a large green space next to the building that we also own and can be used by guests. Feel free to walk your dog in the green space and we thank you for picking up after your dog!

For many, many years this property was Cunningham's Market. It holds so many memories for neighborhood and city residents past and present. Bob Cunningham owned the market and he was Mayor of Muncie in the 1970s and also was a cartoonist. It has been an honor and privilege to renovate and restore this building.

The Country Cozy Loft apartment is your private space located in the big red pole barn directly across the driveway from the main house.
This space is a 2nd floor studio apartment with no elevator access. So please be advised if anyone in your party may have trouble walking up or down stairs this may not be the place for you. If you don't mind a little stairstep exercise this place is perfect for adult couples, business folks, and anyone just wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
There is one comfortable queen size murphy bed in the main room of the apartment. If you require more space during the day the murphy bed easily folds up into a wall cabinet.

Entry to the unit will be the center BLACK door marked with a Cozy Loft welcome sign. You will be able to use the second patio door off the deck as a second entryway after your arrival into the apartment.
There is a designated Cozy Loft Guest Parking sign for guest. More parking is available upon request.

There is a large yard located just below the deck guest are welcome to walk pets, play games, exercise or just walk around in.

This is one if the three units in historic 1890s house in downtown Anderson. The Loft is the entire second story of the house. It is decorated with lots of old treasures I collected throughout the years and many steam punk/ industrial elements. Some of the artworks are my favorite Ghibli pieces.
The house can host 8 guests, which 6 will have real mattress beds and 2 will be on the sofa bed (living room).
You will have to be able to climb the stairs to the second floor.

Outside, there are 2 designated parking spots, a nice deck, and a small yard with fire pit and chairs. Firewood onsite for an evening of relaxation.

Come stay at the historic Phillips-Johnson House, a local historic landmark, located in the Old West End neighborhood of Muncie's Downtown. This home just went through a complete interior remodel / exterior facelift and offers modern accommodations paired with historic charm. The heart of downtown is just a 5 minute walk away. The property features 3 units and you have the entire unit #1 to yourself. This property also conveniently features a large onsite parking lot for easy arrival.

The space
You have the entire main floor unit to yourself and this includes a living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms, a full size kitchen with full size appliances, a large bathroom with separate vanity and tub area, and a screened in porch. This space has recently refinished original plank flooring, a beautiful decorative fireplace with cast iron mantle, fresh paint, and a mixture of new furniture and refurbished vintage pieces. We've tried to think of everything you may need to have a comfortable stay. The kitchen has a full size range, refrigerator with ice and water in the door, microwave, dishwasher, coffee bar area, and washer and dryer. We have tried to stock the kitchen with everything you may need including: pots and pans, blender, toaster, silverware, utensils, and more. The bathroom is stocked with fresh white towels, hair dryer, shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash. The space is accessed via a common hallway and is secured with an electronic keypad deadbolt and interior access only deadbolt. Cleanliness is our top priority and all mattresses/ pillows are sealed in hypoallergenic covers. For over 4 guests, air mattresses will be provided to sleep up to 8 in the unit. All linens (throws, blankets, comforters, sheets, towels) are laundered after every stay. We also provide a white noise machine and box fan for any light sleepers that may need to block out the potential street noise. This property was fully remodeled in 2021 and refreshed with all new linens in December of 2024. Our goal is to be your home away from home.

Downtown Muncie is very walkable and heading straight east on Jackson St. will take you to all the shops and restaurants. If you prefer to drive, there is usually plenty of parking with a city parking lot located at the corner of High St. and Jackson and a parking garage located off Liberty and Seymore St. For those who prefer public transportation, the bus station is 3.5 blocks east on Jackson. Uber is also available.
