Spacious two bedroom space located in the heart of Winchester. It’s within walking distance to the movie theater, library, shopping and a variety of local restaurants. If you are a race fan, the World’s Fastest Half Mile, the Winchester Speedway, is just outside of town. This is a great place to enjoy a quiet small town, but has an easy drive to nearby cities. The space is part of a beautiful, old church that has been renovated. Features include free parking, WIFI, separate shower/bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room.

The house is beautiful and was nicely renovated to include 2 onsite apartments on either side of the vrbo site. We very much enjoyed the stay for the most part, with just a few exceptions. First, and most importantly, the mattress is awful. The listing stated "luxury bedding" so that was misleading. The bed seemed to be a basic cheap spring mattress, no frills. Second, you can not turn the bathroom faucet on. It will literally turn on, but the moment you do water comes out at such high pressure from only one hole in the faucet head. I assume the rest of the holes are clogged with calcium or something. We had to wash our hands, face, and brush our teeth in the kitchen. Third, the door to the basement is in the bedroom.. which isn't terrible except the basement light remained on the entire time we were there so the light shined from around the door. We would have just turned it off, but with the sign on the door that said not to enter coupled with all of the cameras this property had, we didn't want to get into trouble. All in all the stay was pleasant and quite, which we appreciate. We will certainly stay again, as long as that mattress gets more comfortable.. lol"

- "Overall a good experience. Bed was slightly over firm it acceptable. Lost power at 4am and the breaker box was nott accessible." - "The property was not in a nice area. There were cockroaches at the property, it was not very clean. The towels, linens and kitchen towels were all dirty as was the coffee pot. It was extremely small, especially the bathroom. The door code stopped working which meant that we were locked out of the property for quite a while. Neither the AC nor the toilet worked well, the blinds would not close all the way so people could see straight in to the unit. The only reason we finished our stay was because there were no other accommodation available in this small town."

The smell hit us immediately, imagine stale smoke that has been around for too long. We tried to air it out but our eyes were watering. The sink looked dirty. This lovely little retreat will not disappoint. I think you will find it to be a relaxing and comfortable place to spend your time in Muncie. We've provided the basics so that it can be your home away from home: fully functioning kitchen, coffee options, hi speed internet, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, bedding, xfinity flex with tv, and board games. 1/2 mile to shops & dining or a walk along the river, 1 mile to BSU. Close the day grilling out while you watch the gorgeous sunset.

The space
This is an upstairs apt. with 24 steps to climb. Once you have ascended you will be greeted with a beautiful, open view of the sky that you can enjoy from your porch, one of my favorite features of the apt. space. A natural gas grill is furnished as well as outdoor seating that could add the right atmosphere for some good hang-out time or just a little bit of peace and quiet.
There is a key-less entry with a code so you can let yourself in quickly when you arrive.
The eat-in kitchen seats 4 and has a full size stove top, oven & refrigerator. It's also supplied with a microwave, toaster oven, regular and Kuerig coffee makers plus coffee, olive oil, salt, pepper & garlic powder to make cooking easier for travelers. Dinnerware provided.
Living Room comfortably seats 5 and you could easily bring in a kitchen chair or 2 for your dinner guests. It has a moderate size flat screen tv with Xfinity flex. The couch folds out to a full size bed with a new mattress. We have a pack n' play available for little kiddos as well. Plenty of closet space to hang your clothes in.
Bathroom has a tub and shower, comfy towels, shamp/cond, body wash, good lighting and mirrors.
There is complementary washer, dryer and detergent in your apt. available for your vacationing needs.
We do not have actual parking spaces on our property but there is free street parking at all times . You may pull up to unload before you park.
The apt. is in a 4-plex unit house and there are other friendly tenants living below and beside you. This apartment floor-plan mirrors our other Airbnb right next door and shares the back porch with it.
