Space is small but comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet. We (the owners )stay in the yellow mobile home off and on during the year

There is a parking space next to the cottage. It is marked with a sign saying 3231.

Come relax and enjoy island life while staying in our newly updated guesthouse! We are short walk (less than a mile) to several restaurants, ice cream parlors, coffee places, and shopping. And just a few miles from the beach. There is a 65 inch smart tv with direct tv package. 2 power recliners. New & Very comfy Queen size bed. Perfect, cozy spot for couples or solo travelers.

Please note: There is an attached host apartment that may or may not be occupied . Horseshoe Haven is located in a quiet setting just a few minutes' drive / bicycle ride to historic downtown. Five miles to Assateague Beach. You will have exclusive use majority new 10 plus bicycles,12", 16", 18", 24", 26", 28", 2 kayaks, badminton/volleyball / court, swimming pool and gas grill. No dogs in pool . Outdoor shower. Fenced in yard for dogs 45 pounds and under. We look forward to your stay.

The space
Inflation has hit us all. In an effort to reduce your cost we offer reduced cleaning fees for shorter stays plus you can save $60 on longer stays if you bring your own sheets and towels. We perform proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures. PLEASE NOTE: There is an apartment attached to the main home where the hosts may stay from time to time and is securely separated by a laundry room which is shared. We are here to answer questions and make suggestions about our beautiful islands.

There are three bedrooms, living room with large television, equipped kitchen and large screened in porch. You can watch the horses graze from the front porch and watch the mounting of salt water cowboys on the morning of Pony Penning. Located about one mile from historic downtown we recommend a visit to peruse the many shops and visit one one of the several restaurants on Main Street. Security cameras are turned off while we are hosting. Not far off is Maddox Boulevard which takes you to the beach and has more shops and eateries for you to explore as well as other activities such as mini-golf and even go carts.

* Just off the kitchen is a sunroom, front screened porch 16 x 20 is the ideal spot to relish that morning cup of coffee. You will love viewing horses while relaxing in comfortable hammocks. Furnished with 2 glass table and 8 chairs. Has a ping pong table also.

* Pets welcome with payment of applicable fee: $75. for first pet: $75 for additional pets. Pets must be crated if left alone

to very good condition. All bikes are a year or 2 old.

2 Kayaks with life jackets and paddles

* We provide all paper products: 4 rolls toilet paper, napkins, paper towels, tissues and organic free trade coffee. Also, hand soap, bath soap, shampoo, dish soap, and laundry soap

* Coffee, tea, and creamer provided

* Appliances: refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, washer & dryer, coffee pot, crock pot, blender and gas grill. Please note the person using the grill needs to clean it afterwards as a courtesy for people that follow. This is not included in the cleaning of the house. This notice can also be found in the house.

* Dates and time must be specified when booking in order to reserve Kayaks. We do recommend a heads up for professional guided kayak tour of Assateague Island by googling Assateague Adventures Kayak Tours or Chincoteague Island Tours Chincoteague, Va. They run a 5 star business. We are not affiliated with them. They are located next to Horseshoe Haven.Explore the wonderful costal homes from the water This is a breathtaking view which can only be seen from the water. Wearing of life jackets is mandatory. Reservations need be made at time of booking. Tour includes time on a private beach, gathering of mussels, crabbing, exploring, bird watching, getting within feet of the wild ponies, observing NASA launch pad from the bay, dolphin watching as they swim along side the kayaks and of course the ponies. Your guide will explain everything during the tour. Bring bottled water. Bring sun screen. Sunset tours are popular! Kayaks are not permitted to go out on check out day because of conflicting time restraints. You must wear life jackets that are provided. for your convenience. They also offer Golf Cart tours, E-Bike Tours and E-Bike rentals. Breakfast on our porch with wonderful views of horses, birds and the smell of salt air. Roku, Disney, HBO, Netflix and local network television is available in the living room and master bedroom. A crib and high chair are provided.The bed in the master bedroom has three inches of Aloe built into the top. Enjoy your first cup of coffee in front of the fireplace or on the screened porch while listening to music or nature along with breakfast (weather permitting). There you can view the horses across the street. Toiletries are included during your stay.

Guest access
We have 2 driveways. Please be advised that you should use the left parking area in front of the bikes only and the hosts will use the right parking area in front of the bikes. Overflow parking is provided using the 2nd driveway. There are four steps in both the front and the back of the house. Guests will have full access to the 3 bedroom house, kitchen, living room, screen front porch, sun porch, and a share fenced in backyard, gas grill , fire pit for gatherings and swimming pool. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO HAVE TWO COLLIES ) Collies are not on location sometimes as they prefer to vacation on their farm. The front yard is available as well as the back for your pet to enjoy some exercise. You may also use the lane for walking your dog. If doing so please clean up after them whether it be front or back as well as the lane. Listen to music to relax to while sitting in the hammock chairs on the front porch (two provided) and two full size hammocks are available in the backyard weather permitting.

We allow dogs 45 pounds and under which are not aggressive. Contact me to discuss exceptions.
Please inform us if bringing your dog(s).
Pet fees are $75 for each pet. Payment is due at check in.
Dogs are NOT permitted at the beach on Assateague on the Virginia side. You can travel to Assateague on the Maryland side where they are allowed. This is approximately a 45 minute drive.
Please bring your own clean pet bed.
Pets must be treated for fleas and ticks.
All pet feces must be picked up. We do have pooper scoopers.
