A great place to get away for the weekend and explore the cute town of Erwin and it's lovely shops. The Tannen Guest Suite has a 6-person outdoor spa (hot tub) for guests and offers an extremely affordable 1 bedroom / 1 bath private entry “mother-in-law” suite in Fayetteville without having to pay the expensive hotel prices. Welcome! Our recently remodeled Haymount Hideaway is so comfy and relaxing, you’ll feel right at home. This detached guest house has an open floor plan, stylish furnishings and a secluded loft bedroom (please be aware, LOFT BEDROOM HAS A LOW CEILING). The spacious Hideaway is ideally located just a block away from the historic Haymount neighborhood, one mile from downtown Fayetteville and a quick 8 miles to Fort Bragg.
The space
On the main floor, the light and bright living room features a comfortable couch and loveseat and a 55” Smart TV. Whether you have dinner delivered or decide to put the updated appliances to work, the modern kitchen has all the essentials, plus a breakfast bar for casual dining. The breakfast station is equipped with a Keurig coffee maker and complimentary breakfast items. The Hideaway’s beautifully renovated bathroom has a full-size vanity and a walk-in shower. A spiral staircase leads to the large sleeping loft and its luxurious queen bed. The loft also has a cozy papasan chair for curling up with a book or indulging in an afternoon nap.
Step outside and enjoy an evening gathered around the chiminea (firewood is available) and BBQ grill. Amenities: washer and dryer, air conditioning, WiFi, free onsite parking and access to a shared gym (8am to 8pm) with an assortment of workout equipment.

The space
The Chesnutt room is a guest favorite. It features a serene view of the botanical grounds of the B&B. Named after Charles Chesnutt (1858-1932), the first African-American author to receive widespread critical acclaim. His parents were "free persons of color" and he was raised in Fayetteville. With a plush King size bed and beautiful antique wardrobe, the Chesnutt room has a private en-suite bathroom with a corner shower and toilet. The unique in-room vanity is to the left of the original fireplace
The room's king bed features a plush euro top mattress with cooling graphite-infused high density memory foam and additional back and lumbar support for your best night's sleep.
The Chesnutt is on the second floor to the right of the stairs. A circle drive at the front entrance is available for check in and drop off/pickup with additional parking down a set of steps to the rear of the property.
Enjoy a sweet tea on the sprawling front porch or a glass of wine in the evening on the back porch, which is a shared space accessible by the main downstairs hallway. The porch is a perfect place to enjoy breakfast, too!
