Located just 10 minutes from Callaway Gardens and Hog Mine, Gorgeous hiking tails at FDR state park, and some small town antique shops/eateries, our charming cabin offers the perfect retreat! Nestled one block from an exclusive, privately owned, spring-fed lake that we encourage our guests to enjoy! You'll notice serene surroundings and plenty of activities. We have thoughtfully stocked the house with amenities for guest use at no extra charge.

Our Cabin is seated on a 1 acre plot of land filled with hard woods that are home to about 12 different species of birds. They sing morning and night so bird watchers come on! We keep binoculars at the cabin for those that forget them or don't have any. We have deer, and fox sitings regularly around the house so keep your eyes out!

The Cabin features a wrap around deck, hardwood floors, high speed internet, 65" Flat screen TV, all the appliances and dishes and serving utensils you would need to make a meal including condiments and an always full spice rack and non perishable cabinet.. There is a brand new full size GE washer and dryer in the master closet that guests are welcome to sue as well.

We supply linens, shower towels, wash clothes, kitchen towels, as well as paper towels, toilet paper, body wash, hand soaps, shampoo and conditioner, dish soap, and laundry soap, extra trash bags, sponges for the kitchen sink. There is nothing we haven't thought of for your convenience.

If you are wanting to go hiking we provide two hiking back packs, for guest use incase you forget yours. There is a beautiful hike featuring multiple waterfalls that we recommend if that is your thing- it even has a secret swimming hole at the very end, we can give you directions upon request :)

We have two gated lake accesses that are accessible to our guests at no extra charge. There is a lake access dedicated just for your dogs that is fenced in, and has a fishing dock. Both Lake accesses are close enough to bike or walk, but we usually prefer to drive in with all our gear, especially since we have kids. The lake is stocked with fish, and we stock it annually to keep it up. It's hard not to catch something. At the gated lake access, you'll find:

A designated swimming area that goes from ankle deep to 15-20 feet deep

A volleyball court right on the lake shore

A play ground for the littles

Boat launch, (bring your boat if you'd like we have on site parking! 150 hp or smaller)

Screened and open pavilions, both have great shade for those that want to be close to family but out of the sun

Log cabin sleeps 14 people with 3 bathrooms. Just over an hour southwest of Atlanta where there are no crowds Serenity Cabin is the place to go for a mountain getaway. While there are numerous great restaurants in the area, our kitchen has all you’ll need to prepare meals in the cabin, just bring your food and condiments. Callaway Gardens is within 15 minutes from the cabin and so is the Roosevelt National historic site, “The Little White House.” There are many hiking trails nearby with horseback riding stables too. Come relax on the back porch and enjoy this great vacation spot.

Our cabin is perfect for families who want to spend time together. We tend to shy away from groups of young people without adequate adult supervision.

Come relax in a roomy and lovely, historical 4 bedroom 4 bath cabin located in the Callaway Gardens Area on private Lake Ida. This cabin was built by the the founder of Callaway Gardens, Cason J. Callaway in 1930 and renovated in the late 90s. It is part of a property which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and until now has never been available to the public as a rental.

The cabin is 3200 sq feet- Ample space for 8 guests! It has new master beds, beautiful antique furnishings, wifi, and 60"smart tv. The antique wood furnishings are original to the cabin from 1930, many from Old Hickory Furniture Company- purchased in 1930 when the cabin was built. Two king bedrooms and two twin bedrooms are perfect for two families, or 8 adults. Each bedroom has a private adjoining tub/shower combo bathroom.
The living area of the house features a nice sized living room and kitchen with a pass though dining room between them. There is a wood burning fireplace in the living area, and a 60" smart TV, on which guests can access their own app accounts.
The outdoors offers plenty to enjoy! Take in the beautiful views of the mountain, lake, and the 5 acres of lush forest surrounding the cabin. This large log home is where Cason and Virginia Callaway lived and retired for over 40 years. Across from the cabin there is a great field overlooking Lake Ida, perfect for play/sports/kids fun. Enjoy your coffee on the front screen porch watching the sunrise, and in the afternoon with cocktails as the sun sets. Use the fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals or drive a short 5 minutes to one of the areas best steakhouses around! This 3BR/2BA house on West Point Lake is perfect for a family adventure, getaway, or fishing trip. Plenty of land to roam with a fire pit to enjoy the great outdoors. This house is ready to entertain - a great room with kitchen, TV, and new appliances. You will love the peace and quiet this home provides!

The main room features a vaulted ceiling with wood beams spanning from side to side and a hardwood floor to pull it all together. The downstairs has two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a full over full bunk bed with a trundle pull out. We also have a loft that features a queen bed. The upstairs master suite has a king bed and a small kid bed. This home offers a perfect setting for a family retreat or lodging for a fishing tournament.

Upon arrival, be sure to take a minute to relax on the screened porch or stretch your legs by take a walkabout down the trails through the woods. Our plot of land backs up to core of engineer property that is protected - this land is full of wildlife you can observe from the back porch. The dock is about 200yds from the house and can be accessed by following a lighted gravel trail to the lake that starts right out of the back door.

There is no cable at the house. There are 2 Smart TVs with Netflix and Hulu subscriptions available.

Please note that the dock is a shared family dock and my parents keep their boat there. Both boat slips may be occupied during your stay but there is plenty of room to tie off on either side of the dock. The dock features water and power available for your use.

Check-in is after 3pm. Check-out is 10am unless discussed otherwise.

We left the bedroom door open and temporarily removed the vent which significantly helped cool the room down. By the time we left, there was still a mildly foul smell in that one room. However, everything else was exceptional."

We are a privately owned home and are not part of the Mountain Top Inn and Resorts. Therefore, our guests do not have access to their amenities such as: the swimming pool any other common areas.

Large front porch with swings; 700 sq ft back porch with single bed, rockers and swing. Side yard has enclosed doggy area. We worked remotely without any issues and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. The lake was down quite a bit which was disappointing but it really didn’t affect our stay. The cabin had a large living area with plenty of seating.The kitchen was well appointed but bring your own ziplocks, foil, etc… we didn’t bbq but were happy to see a grill was available. Beds were comfortable with plenty of drawer space in the main bedroom. No dresser in the second bedroom..just a nightstand. There are plenty of towels for four people (we had three) but no shampoo, body wash or bar soap. The washer/dryer came in handy (we brought our own soap and dryer sheets) and the coffee bar was great (bring your coffee and condiments). Overall this is a great place to stay and we will check availability the next time we’re back looking at homes. "

The space:
This property is located directly on roaring Coopers Creek! The Master bedroom has one King size bed, TV, and its own full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The Second bedroom has 2 queen beds, TV, and its own full bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with all the appliances you may need, dishes, and some general spices for cooking. The living room provides a leather couch, a recliner, and a big screen TV. This cabin has a screened in porch with ceiling fans and outdoor seating. It also has a grill, fire pit, and hot tub!

Top off the night with a nice glass of wine, roast smores over the fire pit, or take a relaxing dip in the hot tub! At our cabin you will not only enjoy the amazing views and the melodies of nature, but also unwind to the sound of the creek that is flowing right in front of the property.

Located in the middle of our family farm. Very secluded. Peace, quite and wildlife. I have a lake that I allow guests to fish in. Cabin is 750 sq feet with a wood burning stove and AC. Hotpot on personal cell is how Wi-Fi is accessible. Good cell coverage.
